Operation Hotel Intercontinental

The InterContinental Dhaka is a prominent luxury hotel in Ramna in central Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It opened in 1966 and is owned by the Bangladeshi government.

Rajosik Bihar (also known as Rajosik) is a sculpture of a horse-drawn carriage made by Mrinal Haque. It is situated in front of the Sheraton Hotel at the junction of Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue and Mintu Road in Dhaka city's Paribagh. It was erected on the theme of the regal tour of Dhaka city with the families of Nawabs and Zamindars. The sculpture was unveiled on 19 January 2008, as part of the beautification project to mark the 400th anniversary of the city of Dhaka, lead by city corporation.

Bangladesh Betar (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ বেতার) or BB is the state-owned radio broadcaster of Bangladesh established after Bangladesh's independence from Pakistan in 1971. It was also known as Radio Bangladesh between 1975 and 1996.

Janani O Gorbito Bornomala (Bengali: জননী ও গর্বিত বর্ণমালা, lit. 'Mother and proud albhabets') is a sculpture of a mother protesting while carrying her son's corpse. One of notable work of Mrinal Haque for Dhaka City. It is situated in front of the BTCL headquarter at the junction of Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue near Bangla Motor, in Dhaka city's Paribagh. It was erected on the theme of Bangla language movement. The sculpture was inaugurated on February 20, 2016. This is one of sculptures erected by Haque's private funding.

Shahbag (Bengali: শাহবাগ, romanised: Shahbag) is a metro station of the Dhaka Metro's MRT Line 6. This station is located in the area and thana of Shahbagh. The station has been in service since 31 December 2023.

The Dhaka Club (formerly spelled as Dacca Club) is the oldest recreation organisation and the largest of elite clubs in Dhaka. Originally it was an all-white association and it now is the premier elite association in Bangladesh.

BIRDEM, the Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders at Shahbag, Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a 600-bed multidisciplinary hospital complex of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh. The hospital was established in 1980 with the financial support of Bangladesh. In BIRDEM, 3,000 patients are treated in the Out Patients Department (OPD) every day. No other hospital in Bangladesh serves so many diabetes patients. According to the Denmark-based multinational pharmaceutical company Novo Nordics Vice President of the Pacific Ocean, Selvam Afsar Tuna, This is the world's largest hospital in treating diabetes. It has been designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre on Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders, as the only one of its kind in Asia.

Viqarunnisa University (Bengali: ভিকারুননিসা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university in Bangladesh. It was established in 2001. The university is on Bailey Road, Dhaka. Former member of the national parliament of Bangladesh and businessman Dr HBM Iqbal is the chairman of the Viqarunnisa University Foundation. In 2002, the University Grants Commission (UGC) brought allegations of in setting up the institution against the chairman. In 2003, the supreme court asked concerned authorities to reopen the university.The university is named after the prominent Austrian Pakistani social worker, Viqar un Nisa Noon.
