The Taksin Bridge (Thai: สะพานสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช, RTGS: Saphan Somdet Phrachao Taksin Maha Rat, pronounced [sā.pʰāːn sǒm.dèt pʰráʔ.t͡ɕâːw tàːk.sǐn mā.hǎː râːt]; usually abbreviated to simply สะพานตากสิน, [sā.pʰāːn tàːk.sǐn]), or commonly known as Sathon Bridge (สะพานสาทร, RTGS: Saphan Sathon, [sā.pʰāːn sǎː.tʰɔ̄ːn]) is a bridge crossing the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand.

Saphan Taksin station (Thai: สถานีสะพานตากสิน) is a BTS skytrain station, on the Silom Line in Sathon and Bang Rak Districts, Bangkok, Thailand. The station is located at the entry ramp of Taksin Bridge, below Sathon Road, to the east of the Chao Phraya River. It is the only rapid transit station in Bangkok which can transfer to a river pier for the crossing-river ferry to Thonburi and the Chao Phraya Express Boat service. That makes the station popular for both daily passengers and tourists sightseeing by river boats to historical area such as Wat Arun, Wat Pho and Sanam Luang. It has been proposed since 2012 to close and demolish the station to facilitate the construction of a second track, which will "ease the bottleneck over its stretch across the Chao Phraya River" however as of December 2015, there has been no decision on how to proceed.In August 2017, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration formally announced the plans, by extending the road bridges of the Taksin Bridge and rebuild the station when the road bridges are done. The rebuilding will cost one billion baht and is due to be completed in 40 months, before December 2019. However, the project was delayed, and as of July 2020 BTSC was still in search for a suitable contractor, expected to have the contract signed in August with works commencing a month later.

Wat Yannawa (Thai:วัดยานนาวา, RTGS: Wat Yannawa, commonly known in English as "The boat temple", is a Buddhist temple (Wat) in Bangkok on Charoenkrung Rd, Sathorn district. This temple has a long history from the Ayutthaya era to the present. During the reign of King Rama I, the ubosot was built and named "Wat Yannawa". Then, King Rama III built a temple building in the shape of a Chinese junk ship, giving the temple the nickname the "boat temple". The part of architecture inside of this temple is about the room that people pray, ubosot that enshrined the Buddha images and the pictures that draw in the style of "Loi Prathip Royal Lantern Festival" (Thai:พระราชพิธีลอยพระประทีป). The part of architecture outside is about the building that enshrined Buddha relic from Sri Lanka and has the Goddess of Mercy in front of the building.

Chaloem Phan 53 Bridge (Thai: สะพานเฉลิมพันธุ์ 53) is a bridge in Bangkok's Yan Nawa sub-district, Sathon district and Si Lom sub-district, Bang Rak District.

Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok is a 5-star resort hotel owned by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. With a quarter of a mile of river frontage, the two towers of the property face the Saphan Taksin BTS Station. In 2014, the hotel joined the Bangkok Riverside Marketing Partnership (BRMP), a group of eight five-star hotels on Bangkok's riverside with a pledged 150 billion baht in investment in the area in January 2015.The Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok was used for the ASEAN summit 2015 hosted by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, and by Aung San Suu Kyi and Wen Jiabao.

The River is a 258 m (846 ft) tall skyscraper in Bangkok, Thailand. On the banks of the Chao Phraya River opposite the Shangri-La Hotel, the building has around 70 floors of residential condominiums and was completed in 2011.Developed by Raimon Land, the project consists of two buildings, a taller south tower adjacent to the river, and a slightly smaller north tower which is offset from the front tower so that both towers can enjoy river views. The 74-floor The River South was the second tallest building in Thailand comprising entirely freehold condominiums and was the country tallest residential building.The 152 m (499 ft) 45-floor north tower includes a mix of both freehold condominiums either owned or rented, and a section of the tower which is a serviced apartment operated by Klapsons, a Singapore hotel chain whose owner was also a major shareholder of Raimon Land. 14 out of 84 service apartment units were later sold as condominium unitsFacilities include a 120 m river promenade, gym, several swimming pools, gardens, and adjacent community mall retail space at VUE, also owned and operated by Raimon Land, which opened in 2012. VUE was to be converted into hotel under the brand Kitch Hotel.

Assumption Convent School (ASC) is a private girls' school in Thailand. It was founded in 1904 by the Roman Catholic Mission of Siam and has since been managed by the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres. The school is located in the vicinity of the Assumption Cathedral in Bangkok's Bang Rak District.

The East Asiatic Building is a historic building in Bangkok's Bang Rak District. It sits on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River, opposite the Oriental Hotel on Soi Charoen Krung 40 and adjacent to the Catholic Mission and Assumption Cathedral. The building was built c. 1900 in Renaissance Revival style to designs by Annibale Rigotti, and served as the headquarters of the East Asiatic Company (Thailand) until 1995. The building is well-conserved, and received the ASA Architectural Conservation Award in 1984. Nowadays, it is used as a commercial event space, administrated by Charoenkrung Studio, and is often rented as a filming location. The building is generally closed to the public, but was opened to visitors in November 2018 when it was one of the venues for the Bangkok Art Biennale.

Yan Nawa (Thai: ยานนาวา, pronounced [jāːn nāːwāː]) is a khwaeng (subdistrict) of Sathon District, in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2017 it had a population of 20,758 people.

State Tower is a skyscraper located on Silom Road, Bang Rak business district, Bangkok, Thailand, adjacent to Charoen Krung Road. Built in 2001, it has a floor area of 300,000 m2 (3,200,000 sq ft). State Tower has 68 floors and is 247 m (810 ft) tall, making it the 8th tallest building in Thailand. It is also the tallest mixed-use building in Thailand. Conceived by Thai architect Professor Rangsan Torsuwan in the early 1990s and designed by Rangsan Architecture, the massive building is characterised by its thirty-meter tall golden rooftop dome and neo-classical balconies. It was originally named "Silom Precious Tower", later "Royal Charoen Krung Tower" (RCK Tower) and then "State Tower". State Tower contains condominiums, serviced apartments, offices and retail units. It is also home to two five-star hotels, lebua at State Tower and Tower Club at lebua. Sirocco, an open-air restaurant with a panoramic view of Bangkok, is located on the 63rd floor. There are two Michelin starred restaurants on the top floors of the tower, owned and managed by lebua Hotels and Resorts.State Tower is owned by Challenge Group. In 2015, Nusasiri PLC bought non-performing condominium units from Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Co and renovated for resell. The total units bought was 166 spanning floors 28-32 and 42-50.

The Assumption Cathedral (Thai: อาสนวิหารอัสสัมชัญ) is the principal Roman Catholic church of Thailand, located at 23 Oriental Avenue, New Road, in the Bang Rak District of Bangkok. It is the main church of the Archdiocese of Bangkok. The cathedral hosted both of the Papal visits to Thailand; Pope John Paul II in 1984 and Pope Francis in 2019.
