Stoke and Wexham War Memorial

Wexham is a civil parish in the county of Buckinghamshire in southern England. It is on the boundary of the unitary authority of Slough, its post town. Wexham Park Hospital is a large hospital on the parish border and Burnham Beeches, a forest takes in small parts of its northern land.

Fulmer Research Institute was founded in 1945 as a UK contract research and development organization specializing in materials technology and related areas of physics and chemistry. It was modelled on American contract research companies such as Battelle Memorial Institute and The Mellon Institute of Industrial Research. In 1965 it was acquired by The Institute of Physics and the Physical Society, a rare case of a contract research company being owned by a Learned Society. Through the 1970s and 80s Fulmer evolved. Its services in testing, consultancy and certification were greatly strengthened while academic research declined. It continued to make important developments and innovations for industry and government until in 1990 it was split up and sold to other R & D and testing organizations. A few of the landmark achievements during its forty five years were: The extraction of aluminium using sub-halide sublimation Aluminium-tin and aluminium-lead alloys for plain-bearings Chemical Vapour Deposition of metals and ceramics to produce coatings, tubes, crucibles etc. Fundamental research into aluminium copper alloys, leading to high strength formulations for the skin of high performance aircraft YQAF, a subsidiary company authorised to assess and accredit organizations to quality standards.

Wexham Park Hospital is a large NHS hospital in Slough, Berkshire. It has been managed by Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust since 2014. Sir Andrew Morris is the Trust's chief executive.

Stoke Poges () is a village and civil parish in south-east Buckinghamshire, England. It is centred 3 miles (4.8 km) north-north-east of Slough, its post town, and 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of Farnham Common.

Teikyo School United Kingdom (帝京ロンドン学園高等部, Teikyō Rondon Gakuen Kōtōbu, "Teikyo London Academy High School Division") is a Japanese international school in Wexham, Buckinghamshire, 20 miles to the west of London. It educates 59 students aged between 15 and 18 years. It is affiliated with Teikyo University, and the Japanese government classifies the school as a Shiritsu zaigai kyoiku shisetsu (私立在外教育施設) or an overseas branch of a Japanese private school.

St Giles' Church is an active parish church in the village of Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, England. A Grade I listed building, it stands in the grounds of Stoke Park, a late-Georgian mansion built by John Penn. It is famous as the apparent inspiration for Thomas Gray's poem Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard; Gray is buried in the churchyard.

Fulmer is a village and civil parish in south Buckinghamshire, England. The village has, along most of its northern border, a narrow green buffer from Gerrards Cross and it's heavily wooded adjoining neighbouring villages of Iver Heath and Wexham. The village's name is derived from the Old English for "mere or lake frequented by birds". It was recorded in 1198 as Fugelmere.In the late 17th century the owners of the manor of Fulmer were forced to sell their house to their servants because they had squandered their money and could not afford to pay them. The manor then passed into the hands of the Duke of Portland. In the mid-19th century watercress was grown at Moor Farm, known locally as "The Bog", (now Low Farm) by Richard Whiting Bradbery, the son of William Bradbery, the first British watercress pioneer who had a large cress farm at West Hyde, Hertfordshire. Richard is buried in St James churchyard, Fulmer, with his wife Hannah. Fulmer Chase on Stoke Common Road is a former home of the Wills tobacco family and was used as a military hospital during World War II. Fulmer is close to Pinewood Studios and several films have been shot in the village, including Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines and Sleepy Hollow.

The Stoke Poges Memorial Gardens are memorial gardens in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, England. The gardens are listed Grade I on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. The gardens are adjacent to the Church of St Giles, Stoke Poges. The Memorial Gardens were founded in 1935 by Sir Noel Mobbs to ensure "the maintenance in perpetuity of the peace, quietness and beauty of the ancient church and churchyard". The gardens were landscaped by Edward White and contain a number of private plots for the interment of ashes, within a larger, Grade I listed park. The ashes of the film director Alexander Korda, aviation pioneer John Moore-Brabazon, 1st Baron Brabazon of Tara and the broadcaster Kenneth Horne, among others, are interred in the garden.

Fulmer Place is a Grade II listed mansion at Fulmer in Buckinghamshire which was formerly the home of Lord John Hay.
