Shilin District

Bailing Sport Park (Chinese: 百齡運動公園; pinyin: Bǎilíng Yùndòng Gōngyuán) is a multi-use sport venue located in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. The park has been open since 1989. It resides along Shilin and Shezi shores of the Keelung River, with around 2,900 meters (9,500 ft) in length and 60–100 meters (200–330 ft) in width. Total surface area is around 280,000 m2.

The Taipei Performing Arts Center (TPAC; traditional Chinese: 臺北表演藝術中心; simplified Chinese: 台北表演艺术中心; pinyin: Táiběi Biǎoyǎn Yìshù Zhōngxīn) is a performance center under construction in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan.

The Church of the Good Shepherd (Chinese: 牧愛堂; pinyin: Mùàitáng; Wade–Giles: Mu4-ai4 tʽang2) is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Taiwan and is situated in Taipei, Taiwan. Good Shepherd grew from the migration of Chinese who came to Taiwan after World War II; at the Church's height there were sixteen congregations. It had key early support from American military chaplains who held worship services at different locations, including the Taiwan Theological College and Seminary on Yangmingshan. After more than a decade of sponsorship by the US military chaplaincy, the Church was formally founded in 1963 to serve the foreign community in the Taipei area. The first two pastors were Lt. Col. Robert E. Hammerquist and Major Richard S. Craig. The congregation is among the oldest English congregations in Taiwan. After a series of relocations, in 1965, the Church of the Good Shepherd purchased a plot of land situated at its current premise in Shilin District in which worship services have been held since 1966. Currently the congregation is made of mostly Taiwanese people, but also with a wide mixture of other nationalities. The church is one of the very few Protestant congregations in Taiwan following the liturgical Protestant tradition with choir leading the Chinese services. The controversial historical first House of Bishops Meeting of the Episcopal Church in Asia partly took place in the church between the 17th and 23 September 2014.

Jiantan (Chinese: 劍潭; pinyin: Jiàntán, formerly transliterated as Chientan Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. There was a station of the same name on the now-defunct Tamsui railway line, however the position was different; the TRA station was further south.

Shilin Night Market (Chinese: 士林夜市; pinyin: Shìlín Yèshì) is a night market in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan, and is often considered to be the largest and most famous night market in Taiwan.

Dalongdong (Chinese: 大龍峒; pinyin: dàlóngdòng), or Toalongpong (Chinese: 大龍泵; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tōa-lông-pōng; and variants 大浪泵/大隆同), is an old village in historical Taipei located near the narrows of the confluence of the Keelung and Tamsui Rivers. The district has since been merged with the newer Twatutia district in the south during the Qing dynasty to form Datong District. The village, officially created in 1853 (3rd year of the Xianfeng Emperor), covered the area extending from the Chen Teacher's abode (陳悅記祖宅) and beyond the area of sishisikan (四十四坎) and the Taipei Confucius Temple. During Japanese rule, the villages of Twatutia, Toalongpong, and Bangka were combined with the walled city of Taipeh (in present-day Zhongzheng District) and incorporated into present-day Taipei city. Although this district now exists only historically, its name still officially remains in the Dalongdong Baoan Temple and on bus numbers 303 and 669 of the Taipei bus system.

The Shihlin Paper Mill (simplified Chinese: 士林纸厂; traditional Chinese: 士林紙廠; pinyin: Shìlín Zhǐ Chǎng) is a historical paper mill in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan.

Dalongdong Baoan Temple (Chinese: 大龍峒保安宮; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tōa-lông-pōng Pó-an-kiong) also known as the Taipei Baoan Temple (臺北保安宮) is a Taiwanese folk religion temple built in the Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan. The present temple was originally built by clan members in Tong'an, Xiamen, Fujian, who immigrated to Taipei in the early 19th century and gave the temple the name Po-an (保安; Pó-an) in order to "protect those of Tong'an" (保佑同安). The Taipei Confucius Temple is located adjacent to the Baoan Temple.

The Taipei Confucius Temple (traditional Chinese: 臺北孔子廟; simplified Chinese: 台北孔子庙; pinyin: Táiběi Kǒngzǐ Miào; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tâi-pak-khóng-chú-biō) is a Confucian temple in Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan.

The Grand Hotel (Chinese: 圓山大飯店; pinyin: Yuánshān Dà Fàndiàn; lit. 'Yuanshan Great Hotel') is a landmark located at Yuanshan (圓山) in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. The hotel was established in May 1952 and the main building was completed on October 10, 1973. It is owned by the Duen-Mou Foundation of Taiwan, a non-profit organization, and has played host to many foreign dignitaries who have visited Taipei. The main building of the hotel is one of the world's tallest Chinese classical buildings at 87 metres (285 ft) high. It was also the tallest building in Taiwan from 1973 to 1981.

Linji Huguo Chan Temple (Chinese: 臨濟護國禪寺; pinyin: Línjí Hùguó Chán Sì) is a Buddhist temple located in Zhongshan District of Taipei, Taiwan.

Radio Taiwan International (RTI; Chinese: 中央廣播電台; pinyin: Zhōngyāng Guǎngbò Diàntái) is the English name and call sign of the international radio service, the Central Broadcasting System (CBS) of the Republic of China, commonly known as Taiwan. It is a government-owned station that broadcasts in 13 languages around the world, with a majority emphasis on Mandarin and Taiwanese-language broadcasts over shortwave into Mainland China.
