Dalongdong Baoan Temple

The Taipei Confucius Temple (traditional Chinese: 臺北孔子廟; simplified Chinese: 台北孔子庙; pinyin: Táiběi Kǒngzǐ Miào; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tâi-pak-khóng-chú-biō) is a Confucian temple in Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan.

Dalongdong (Chinese: 大龍峒; pinyin: dàlóngdòng), or Toalongpong (Chinese: 大龍泵; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tōa-lông-pōng; and variants 大浪泵/大隆同), is an old village in historical Taipei located near the narrows of the confluence of the Keelung and Tamsui Rivers. The district has since been merged with the newer Twatutia district in the south during the Qing dynasty to form Datong District. The village, officially created in 1853 (3rd year of the Xianfeng Emperor), covered the area extending from the Chen Teacher's abode (陳悅記祖宅) and beyond the area of sishisikan (四十四坎) and the Taipei Confucius Temple. During Japanese rule, the villages of Twatutia, Toalongpong, and Bangka were combined with the walled city of Taipeh (in present-day Zhongzheng District) and incorporated into present-day Taipei city. Although this district now exists only historically, its name still officially remains in the Dalongdong Baoan Temple and on bus numbers 303 and 669 of the Taipei bus system.

The Yuanshan Bus Station (Chinese: 圓山轉運站; pinyin: Yúanshān Zhuǎnyùnzhàn) is a key bus terminal in Taipei, located at the boundary between the districts of Datong and Zhongshan, adjacent to the Yuanshan metro station. It opened on 9 October 2010, as part of the transportation plan for the 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition. Initially named Yuanshan Transport Plaza, it serves commuters using the Tamsui-Xinyi Line of the Taipei Metro and connects to city and intercity buses.

Linji Huguo Chan Temple (Chinese: 臨濟護國禪寺; pinyin: Línjí Hùguó Chán Sì) is a Buddhist temple located in Zhongshan District of Taipei, Taiwan.

Yuanshan (Chinese: 圓山; pinyin: Yuánshān) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. It is a station on the Tamsui–Xinyi line. There was a station of the same name on the now-defunct Tamsui railway line.

Taipei (), officially Taipei City, is the capital and a special municipality of Taiwan. Railways, highways, airports and bus lines connect Taipei with all parts of the island. The city is served by two airports – Songshan and Taoyuan. Taipei is home to various world-famous architectural or cultural landmarks, which include Taipei 101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Dalongdong Baoan Temple, Hsing Tian Kong, Lungshan Temple of Manka, National Palace Museum, Presidential Office Building and Taipei Guest House. Popular shopping districts including Ximending as well as several night markets dispersed throughout the city. Natural features such as Maokong, Yangmingshan and hot springs are also well known to international visitors. In English-language news reports, the name Taipei often serves as a synecdoche referring to central government of Taiwan. Due to the ambiguous political status of Taiwan internationally, the term Chinese Taipei is also frequently used as a synonym for the entire country, as when Taiwan's governmental representatives participate in international organizations or Taiwan's athletes compete in international sporting events.

Zhongshan Soccer Stadium, Chungshan Soccer Stadium, or Taipei Soccer Stadium (Chinese: 中山足球場; pinyin: Zhōngshān Zúqíuchǎng) was a multi-purpose stadium in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. It was established in 1923 as Maruyama Stadium (Japanese: 圓山運動場) during the Japanese period. The soccer stadium was opened in 1989, it was reconstructed from the former site of Yuanshan Baseball Ground (Chinese: 圓山棒球場) under the guidance of then Chinese Taipei Football Association President Chiang Wei-kuo. Although it was built as a soccer-specific stadium, it was mostly used for live concerts or other activities due to lack of professional football league in Taiwan. The stadium was able to hold 20,000 people for football games and 40,000 for concerts. It was managed by the Hope Foundation led by former athlete Chi Cheng.

Bailing Sport Park (Chinese: 百齡運動公園; pinyin: Bǎilíng Yùndòng Gōngyuán) is a multi-use sport venue located in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. The park has been open since 1989. It resides along Shilin and Shezi shores of the Keelung River, with around 2,900 meters (9,500 ft) in length and 60–100 meters (200–330 ft) in width. Total surface area is around 280,000 m2.

Taipei Broadcasting Station or Radio Taipei (TBS; Chinese: 臺北廣播電臺; pinyin: Táiběi Guǎngbō Diàntái) is a government owned radio station in the Republic of China. It has been in operation since 7 July 1961 under the direction of the Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government. It is located in Taipei City, Taiwan directly across from the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.

Dihua Street (Chinese: 迪化街; pinyin: Díhuà Jiē) is a street located in Dadaocheng, Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan, winding from the south of the district to the north near Dalongdong. The street, then known as Centre Street (中街), was constructed during the 1850s, when many commercial entities belonging to Quanzhou-originating owners moved in from Bangka. Since then and throughout the rest of the 19th century, Dihua Street has been an important centre for commerce in Taiwanese products and produce such as Chinese medicinal herbs, fabrics, incense materials, and for the post-processing of Taiwanese tea.Being the oldest street in Taipei (with sections in existence since the rule of Dutch Formosa from 1624 to 1661), its architecture has been under preservation and conservation efforts by the city. Modern Dihua Street along with its surrounding neighborhood and streets, known as the Dihua Street commercial loop (迪化街商圈), remain one of the most commercially active in Taipei with transactions in excess of 3 billion US dollars. The name "Dihua" was given in 1947 by the Republic of China government, in reference to the city of Dihua (now called Ürümqi) in Xinjiang, and effectively joins a string of existing older streets in this area of Taipei. Locals living in the district refer to the northern portion of the street (north of the Minsheng West Road (民生西路)) as “north street” (北街), and the southern portion as “south street” (南街).

The Taipei Story House (Chinese: 台北故事館; pinyin: Táiběi Gùshì Guǎn), formerly known as the Yuanshan Mansion (Chinese: 圓山別莊; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Îⁿ-soaⁿ Pia̍t-chong), is a historic house in the Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is now open as a museum in Taipei Expo Park.

The Taipei Fine Arts Museum (TFAM; Chinese: 台北市立美術館; pinyin: Táiběi Shìlì Měishùguǎn) is a museum in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is in the Taipei Expo Park. The museum first opened on August 8, 1983, at the former site of the United States Taiwan Defense Command. It was the first museum in Taiwan built for contemporary art exhibitions. The architecture is a local interpretation of the Japanese Metabolist Movement, and the building was designed by architect Kao Er-Pan.
