Six Points is an unincorporated community in Washington Township, Hendricks County, Indiana. Its name refers to the junction of two streets and a railroad.

Indianapolis International Airport (IATA: IND, ICAO: KIND, FAA LID: IND) is an international airport located seven miles (11 km) southwest of downtown Indianapolis in Marion County, Indiana, United States. It is owned and operated by the Indianapolis Airport Authority. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021 categorized it as a medium hub primary commercial service facility.The airport occupies 7,700 acres (3,116 ha) in Wayne and Decatur townships in Marion County. IND is home to the second largest FedEx Express hub in the world; only the FedEx SuperHub in Memphis, Tennessee surpasses its cargo traffic. Additionally, because of FedEx's activity, IND ranked as the sixth busiest U.S. airport in terms of air cargo throughput in 2020.

Indianapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZID), (radio communications, "Indy Center") is one of 22 established FAA Area Control Centers, and is physically located at 1850 South Sigsbee Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, (United States).The primary responsibility of Indianapolis Center is sequencing and separation of over-flights, arrivals, and departures in order to provide safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of aircraft filed under instrument flight rules (IFR). Indianapolis Center is the 12th busiest ARTCC in the United States. Between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012, Indianapolis Center handled 1,922,383 aircraft operations. Indianapolis Center covers approximately 73,000 square miles of the Midwestern United States, including parts of Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia and Tennessee. Indianapolis Center lies adjacent to six Air Route Traffic Control Centers: Washington Air Route Traffic Control Center, Atlanta Air Route Traffic Control Center, Memphis Air Route Traffic Control Center, Kansas City Air Route Traffic Control Center, Cleveland Air Route Traffic Control Center, and Chicago Air Route Traffic Control Center. ZID overlies or abuts many approach control facilities (including Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Huntington, Terre Haute, Columbus, and Charleston). On September 11, 2001, Indianapolis Center was handling American Airlines Flight 77. Indianapolis Center was the first enroute facility to use CPDLC (Controller - Pilot Data Link Communication). ZID along with UPS tested the system during nightly operations in 2018.

Smith Farm, also known as the Smith-Grundy Farm, is a historic home and farm located in Washington Township, Hendricks County, Indiana. The farmhouse was built in 1928, and is a two-story, Tudor Revival style frame dwelling with a brick veneer. It has a steeply pitched side gable roof and projecting front gabled pavilion. Also on the property are the contributing English barn, butcher shop, corn crib, and cattle barn, all dated to the mid-1920s.: 5, 8 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

On April 15, 2021, a mass shooting occurred at a FedEx Ground facility in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. Nine people were killed, including the gunman, 19-year-old former employee Brandon Scott Hole, who committed suicide. Seven others were injured, including four by gunfire. It is the deadliest mass shooting in the history of Indiana.

WKLU (101.9 FM) is a radio station licensed to Brownsburg, Indiana, and serving the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The station is owned by the Educational Media Foundation and carries its K-LOVE network, playing Contemporary Christian music. While the K-LOVE format is national, the station broadcasts public affairs programming for Brownsburg and Hendricks County on select Sunday nights. In addition, the WKLU studios are used for the K-LOVE morning show which is heard nationwide.

The Ramada Inn crash was an aircraft accident in which a United States Air Force pilot failed to reach the runway at Indianapolis International Airport and crashed into the Airport Ramada Inn in Indianapolis, Indiana.

WZRL (98.3 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Plainfield, Indiana, serving the Indianapolis metropolitan area. It broadcasts a mainstream urban radio format and is owned and operated by iHeartMedia, Inc. The WZRL broadcast license is held by iHM Licenses, LLC. WZRL carries The Breakfast Club morning drive time show from co-owned WWPR-FM New York City. WZRL has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 3,000 watts. It broadcasts in the HD Radio hybrid format.

Covenant Christian High School is a private non-denominational Christian high school located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Decatur Township is one of the nine townships in Marion County, Indiana, United States, and part of the consolidated city of Indianapolis. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 32,388. Located in the southwest corner of the county, the township is home to the Indianapolis International Airport main terminal. It is one of the most rural sections of the county, but has seen many new residential and commercial developments. AmeriPlex, one of the largest industrial parks in Indiana, is in Decatur Township. Through the White River, Decatur and Perry townships share the only water boundary among Marion County's townships.
