The Dr. A. C. Flack House, located at 303 N. 8th St. in Fredonia, Kansas, is a Queen Anne-style house built in 1895.It was deemed notable "for its architectural significance as a Queen Anne Cottage" and was described as "a textbook example of a spindlework Queen Anne cottage. Its high hipped roof with projecting cross gables comprises the most common Queen Anne house type found in this country."It was home of physician A.C. Flack from 1895 until his death in 1949.A brick garage on the property was built in about 1910 and is considered to be a second contributing building in the listing.

Fredonia is a city in and the county seat of Wilson County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 2,151. The city was founded in 1868, and saw considerable expansion in the early 20th century, with a fossil fuel boom.

The Wilson County Courthouse, located at 615 Madison Street in Fredonia, is the seat of government of Wilson County, Kansas. Fredonia has been the county seat since 1873. The courthouse was built from 1968 to 1969 by contractor Freeto Construction Company Inc. of Pittsburg, Kansas. Kiene & Bradley Architects of Topeka, Kansas designed the courthouse in the Modern style. The courthouse is located on spacious landscaped grounds at the city's center. It is two stories and faces south, with the main entrance on the east side and second entrance on the west side. It is constructed of cream-colored brick, red/brown stackstone, and concrete with a flat roof. A memorial clock tower utilizing the original 1885 courthouse clock is located adjacent to the sidewalk on Monroe Street on the north side of the courthouse grounds. The county seat was disputed from 1869 to 1873 with eight elections being held to determine in which city it would be located. The first courthouse was three stories, constructed of red brick and native stone by Gauth & Sedley in 1885 and designed by William R. Parson. It was razed to build the present courthouse. Kiene & Bradley Architects also designed courthouses in Coffey County, Greeley County, Jefferson County, Logan County, and Neosho County.

The Fredonia United States Post Office, located at 428 Madison St. in Fredonia, Kansas, was built in 1939. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 as US Post Office—Fredonia. It is a one-story, gable- and flat-roofed red brick building which is about 65 by 55 feet (20 m × 17 m) in plan.It includes a ten-part terra cotta sculpture titled "Delivery of Mail to the Farm", by artist Lenore Thomas. This was installed on the lobby wall above the postmaster's door in 1939.
