Dry Dock Hotel

The Star Hotel was a pub in the suburb of Balmain in the Inner West of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The pub is located near the entrance to Mort's Dock and in 1902, the Ship Painters and Dockers Union took up a 'moveable office' at 95 Mort Street, next to the Star Hotel and undoubtedly supplied trade to the establishment. The license and name were transferred in 1930 to the pub now known as The Cat and Fiddle Hotel on Darling Street. The building became a residential and commercial unit in 1994.

Birchgrove is located five kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Inner West Council. Balmain ferry wharf (also known as Thames Street ferry wharf) is located on Sydney Harbour serving the Sydney suburb of Balmain. It is served by Sydney Ferries Cockatoo Island services operating between Circular Quay and Cockatoo Island, with some peak F3 services operating to Chiswick. The single wharf is served by First Fleet and RiverCat class ferries. In September 2012, the wharf closed for a rebuild. The existing wharf was demolished and a new one opened in February 2013.To the east of the wharf, lies Transdev Sydney Ferries' Balmain depot.

The pub is named because of its association with a group of volunteer firefighters. The fire bell was located across the road in Darling Street and when it rang, the volunteers would gather and proceed on to the fire. Once their work was complete, they would meet at the hotel for refreshment. The hotel was established before November 1865.The hotel closed in 1928 and from 1930 was the location of Mrs Riley's confectionery shop. It is now a private residence.

Balmain Hospital Main Building is a hospital building and former cottage in Balmain, Inner West Council, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was the original building of and remains the administration building for the Balmain Hospital. It was designed by E. J. Bowen and built in 1880. It is also known as the Administration Building, and includes the Evans Ward and the Victoria Ward. The property is owned by the NSW Department of Health. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
