Jewish Community High School of the Bay

Gateway High School is a charter school located in San Francisco, California. It was founded in September 1998. For many years it resided in the Sunset District at Laguna Honda before moving to its permanent location, at the corner of Geary and Scott, in the building that formerly housed Benjamin Franklin Middle School. The building is also shared with the KIPP SF Bay Academy, a 5-8th grade charter school. Gateway focuses on small class sizes, high standards, and a close student-to-faculty relationship. The school has been designated as a California Distinguished School and as a 21st Century School of Distinction. It has also been officially nominated by the United States Department of Education in December 2006 as one of eight acclaimed charter schools in the nation. As of September 2017, it is the third highest ranked public school in English standardized testing scores San Francisco, and in June 2009, Newsweek ranked it as one of "America's Top Public High Schools" [1].

The Third Baptist Church, formerly the First Colored Baptist Church, is an African American Baptist church founded in 1852, and located in the Western Addition neighborhood of San Francisco, California. It is the city of San Francisco's oldest African-American church. The church occupied several spaces in San Francisco over the course of its history. Since 1976, Rev. Amos C. Brown has been the pastor.The Third Baptist Church Complex is listed as a San Francisco Designated Landmark since November 15, 2017.

The Peoples Temple, the new religious movement which came to be known for the mass killings at Jonestown, was headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States from the early to mid-1970s until the Temple's move to Guyana in 1977. Winterland Ballroom (more commonly known as Winterland Arena or simply Winterland) was an ice skating rink and music venue in San Francisco, California. The arena was located at the corner of Post Street and Steiner Street. It was converted for exclusive use as a music venue in 1971 by concert promoter Bill Graham and became a common performance site for many famous rock artists. Graham later formed a merchandising company called Winterland which sold concert shirts, memorabilia, and official sports team merchandise.

Archbishop's Mansion is a historic house built in 1904 and located at 1000 Fulton Street in the Alamo Square neighborhood in San Francisco, California. The mansion was built for Patrick William Riordan, the second Roman Catholic Archbishop of San Francisco.The house is one of the 276 properties named as part of the "Alamo Square Historic District"; designated by the city of San Francisco in July 1984 (planning code, article 10).

Constructed for German-born confectioner William Westerfeld in 1889, the home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is San Francisco Landmark Number 135.

The Fillmore is a historic music venue in San Francisco, California. Built in 1912 and originally named the Majestic Hall, it became the Fillmore Auditorium in 1954. It is in Western Addition, on the edge of the Fillmore District and Upper Fillmore neighborhood.

San Francisco has been known for its water ride amusement park that enchanted visitors and locals alike during its existence in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. From its beginnings at the Haight Street location to its subsequent move to Fulton Street and later Fillmore Street, the Chutes left an indelible mark on San Francisco's amusement landscape.

Alamo Square is a residential neighborhood and park in San Francisco, California, in the Western Addition. Its boundaries are Buchanan Street on the east,Turk Street on the north, Baker Street on the west, and Page Street Street on the south. Alamo Square Park, the neighborhood's focal point and namesake, consists of four city blocks at the top of a hill overlooking much of downtown San Francisco, with a number of large and architecturally distinctive mansions along the perimeter, including the "Painted Ladies", a well-known postcard motif. The park is bordered by Hayes Street to the south, Steiner Street to the east, Fulton Street to the north, and Scott Street to the west. Named after the lone cottonwood tree ("alamo" in Spanish), Alamo Hill, was a watering hole on the horseback trail from Mission Dolores to the Presidio in the 1800s. In 1856, Mayor James Van Ness created a 12.7 acres (5.1 ha) park surrounding the watering hole, creating "Alamo Square".
