Buaran River

Cakung is a district (kecamatan) of East Jakarta, Indonesia. The district is roughly bounded by Bekasi Raya Road to the west, the Bekasi Raya Road - Petukangan canal to the north, a portion of Cakung river to the east, and the Jakarta-Bandung-Surabaya railway to the south. A large area in Cakung is allotted to industrial or agricultural use. The Pulo Gadung industrial complex is located in the district. The district is served by Jakarta Outer Ring Road. The city hall of East Jakarta is located in Pulogebang Administrative Villages in Cakung. Newly built Pulo Gebang Bus Terminal, which is arguably the largest of its kind, is also located in this area. The Cakung Drain is a flood canal that begins from Cakung, starting at the confluence of Cakung River and Buaran river, flows to the north, and flows out to the Jakarta Bay via Cilincing Administrative Village in Cilincing District of the city of North Jakarta.

Jakarta Garden City is a planned community at Cakung, East Jakarta, Indonesia. The township has a land area of 370 hectares. Upon completion, it will offer 7,000 landed residential properties, supported by retail and entertainment areas, international schools, hospitals, office buildings, shopping malls and other public facilities. The township is being developed by PT Mitra Sindo Sukses, a subsidiary of PT Modernland Realty Tbk (IDX: MDLN), itself owned by the Honoris family through PT Modern International Tbk (IDX: MDRN). Jakarta Garden City is divided into three major areas, namely Garden City with an area of 134 hectares, River Garden 100 hectares and Lake Garden with an area of 136 hectares. Lake Garden area is completed in 2007 and has about 1000 residential units. Garden City, consists of 6 clusters that have been completed and inhabited. Few clusters at the River Garden area have been completed and others are under construction. Aeon Mall is expected to be opened in the township by September, 2017. A Mayapada Hospital is also under construction and expected to be inaugurated within 2017.

Pegangsaan Dua Station is a light rail station of the Jakarta LRT Line A. The station is located at Pegangsaan Dua, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. The station is in a one complex with a depot and is the largest station with a total area of 12 ha (120,000 m2).The station is one of the six stations of the first phase of Jakarta LRT Line A which opened on 1 December 2019.
