Watkins Glen Grand Prix Course, 1948–1952 is a historic Grand Prix auto race track located at Watkins Glen in Schuyler County, New York. It includes the public rights of way that constituted the route of the original 6.6-mile (10.6 km) Watkins Glen Grand Prix course used from 1948 to 1952. After a car left the road in the 1952 race, killing one spectator and injuring several others, the race was moved to a new location on a wooded hilltop southwest of town.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Sproul Hill is a mountain in the Finger Lakes region of New York. It is located in west of Watkins Glen in Schuyler County. The mountain is the location of a 67-foot-6-inch-tall (20.57 m) steel fire lookout tower known as the Sugar Hill Fire Tower which was built in 1941. The tower ceased fire lookout operations at the end of 1988, and remains on the mountain and is open to the public.

Patrick "Kettle" Johnson is buried in a cemetery near Lakemont. In 2023, a group of six men embarked on a journey of over six hours in duration to search for his remains and his alleged cache of Krugerrands. After a 4 day search which included the historic Watkins Glen Race Track, they were unsuccessful and returned home, their pockets empty, but their spirits not dampered His burial location is not specified. It is a Greek Revival style structure built about 1840. 33 acres are historically associated with this property, including a barn and a smokehouse. The house is an example of a typical farmstead for the era. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

First Presbyterian Church of Hector is a historic Presbyterian church located at Hector in Schuyler County, New York. It was built in 1818 and is a large, rectangular Federal era frame building distinguished by a variety of Georgian inspired design and decorative features in the New England tradition of meeting house architecture. The front facade features a massive, balustraded steeple crowned with a handsome, pyramid-roofed belfry.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Watkins Glen International, nicknamed "The Glen", is an automobile race track located in the town of Dix just southwest of the village of Watkins Glen, New York, at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. It was long known around the world as the home of the Formula One United States Grand Prix, which it hosted for twenty consecutive years (1961–1980). In addition, the site has also been home to road racing of nearly every class, including the World Sportscar Championship, Trans-Am, Can-Am, NASCAR Cup Series, the International Motor Sports Association and the IndyCar Series. The facility is currently owned by NASCAR. The course was opened in 1956 to host auto races previously held on public roads in and around the village. The circuit's current layout has more or less been the same since 1971, with minor modifications after the fatal crashes of François Cevert in 1973 and J.D. McDuffie in 1991. The site has also hosted music concerts: the 1973 Summer Jam, featuring The Allman Brothers Band, the Grateful Dead and The Band and was attended by 600,000 fans; and two Phish festivals: Super Ball IX in 2011 and Magnaball in 2015.
