Alkrington

White Moss is an area lying on the common borders of the City of Manchester and the towns of Middleton and Chadderton in Greater Manchester. White Moss is an extensive area of former wetlands and farms, now bisected by the M60 motorway and the arterial road Victoria Avenue from east to west. The part of White Moss north of the motorway lies partially in both Alkrington in the town of Middleton and the town of Chadderton to the west of Greengate. This part of White Moss is home to Blackley Golf Club.The area of White Moss lying south of the M60 has become a suburban residential area and forms part of Charlestown ward in the City of Manchester, on the historic border of Moston and Blackley townships. The Manchester Creative and Media Academy and North Manchester Rugby Club lie within this area.

St Michael's Church is in Townley Street, Middleton, Greater Manchester, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Heywood and Middleton, the archdeaconry of Rochdale, and the diocese of Manchester. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Tonge is a residential and industrial area of Middleton in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, Greater Manchester. It lies on the east side of Middleton between the town centre and its border with Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham. Tonge was formerly a township in its own right, until the area was incorporated into the Municipal Borough of Middleton as part of local government reforms in the late 19th century. Its area includes localities such as Moorclose and part of the districts of Mills Hill and Middleton Junction. Tonge Hall was the manor house for the township. The place-name of Tonge, although no longer widely used in the area, stills survives in the district in the names of several streets and a long standing sports club, Tonge Social & Bowling club, established in 1923.Mills Hill railway station is located in this district. Middleton Technology School lies within this district.

Tonge Hall is a Grade II* listed Elizabethan manor house in Tonge, Middleton, Greater Manchester, England.

Middleton Railway station served the town of Middleton. The station opened on 5 January 1857 when the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (L&YR) opened a branch line to serve the town from Middleton Junction.The station was located to the south east of the junction of Oldham Road (now the A669) and Townley Street.Originally the station had a single platform. It was rebuilt with two platforms in 1885-1886. There were goods lines on both sides of the main running lines and a goods shed to the south. The goods yard was able to accommodate most types of goods including live stock and was equipped with a five ton crane.A Cotton shed (described on the map as a goods shed) opened about 1907, it had a rail link into Neva Cotton Mills.The station closed to passengers on 7 September 1964 and completely on 11 October 1965 when the branch also closed.

Middleton Technology School is a coeducational secondary school in the Middleton area of the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale in Greater Manchester, England. Since 1995 the school has specialised in technology, vocational education and Raising Achievement Transforming Learning (RATL). During a 2006 Ofsted inspection the school was described as "Outstanding".

Co-op Academy North Manchester, formerly known as Manchester Creative and Media Academy, is a secondary school located in Blackley, Manchester, UK. First established in 2009, the school relocated to a brand new building in 2012 costing about £3.5 Million. The school offers high school education from year 7–11. In 2015, the school was taken over by the Co-operative Academies Trust.

Greengate is an industrial district in the town of Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester. It is located in the south west of Chadderton, close to the town's common borders with Middleton to the west and Moston in the City of Manchester which lies to the south. For postal purposes Greengate lies within the Manchester postal district (M24, Middleton). British aircraft manufacturer Avro, later BAE Chadderton, built a factory at Greengate in 1938–39. It was one of the largest employers in the area. The BAE factory was closed in 2012 and purchased later that year by NOV (formerly National Oilwell Varco), an American multinational working in oil and gas.

Charlestown is a ward in the suburban north of the city of Manchester, England. The population of the ward at the 2011 census was 14,332. Voters from this ward elect three councillors to Manchester City Council. The Ward lies mostly within the lower part of the suburb of Blackley, with Blackley Golf club acting as the ward boundary. Different parts of this ward are represented by different MPs following boundary changes in 2018; the majority of the ward is part of the Blackley and Broughton constituency but a small portion (in Moston) is part of the Manchester Central constituency.

North Manchester Rugby Club (aka North Manchester RUFC) is an amateur sports club situated 5 miles north of the centre of Manchester. It is the only rugby union club in the city of Manchester, north of the centre. Established originally in 1921 in Prestwich as Prestwich Rugby Union Football Club, the club moved to Rhodes Cricket Club in 1951 and changed its name to Prestwich & Middleton Rugby Union Football Club. A further move in 1985, this time to the current ground Tudor Lodge in Moston saw the club rename again, this time to North Manchester Rugby Club. In 1991 the club merged with the struggling Oldham college Rugby Union Football Club, maintaining the name of North Manchester.The first XV won North Lancs 2 2013/14 and were undefeated in doing so gaining promotion to North Lancs 1, now called Lancashire (North).

Middleton bus station is a bus station located in the town of Middleton in Greater Manchester. The bus station is found next to the Middleton Shopping Centre on the site of the old bus station. The new bus station was opened on 31 July 2005 and is run by TfGM.There are thirteen stands in the bus station, A to N, with some of the stands operating a drive-in/reverse out system with the others operating a drive-through system. There are two entrances into the bus station, one from Park Road/Manchester New Road junction, and the other from Middleton Way from a dedicated bus lane. There is only one exit from the bus station, onto Middleton Way, with priority signals being used to allow buses to rejoin the main carriageway.

Middleton Junction is an industrial and residential district lying on the common border of Middleton in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale and Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester.The area takes its name from the former Middleton Junction railway station and lies along the course of the Rochdale Canal. It is located 1.4 miles south east of Middleton town centre and 1.9 miles west of central Chadderton. It is contiguous with other areas of Chadderton and Middleton including Moorclose, Mills Hill, Greengate, Alkrington and Firwood Park. Semi rural Foxdenton lies to the east.
