Co-op Academy North Manchester, formerly known as Manchester Creative and Media Academy, is a secondary school located in Blackley, Manchester, UK. First established in 2009, the school relocated to a brand new building in 2012 costing about £3.5 Million. The school offers high school education from year 7–11. In 2015, the school was taken over by the Co-operative Academies Trust.

Alkrington Garden Village is a suburban area of Middleton, in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England.Historically a part of Lancashire, in the Middle Ages Alkrington was a township in the parish of Prestwich-cum-Oldham in the hundred of Salford. Once rolling farmland, in 1886 Alkrington was added to the Municipal Borough of Middleton, and developed into a residential area.Alkrington lies on the northern edge of the city of Manchester with the suburb of Blackley directly to the south. The Local Government Act 1972 added Alkrington to the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale; though Alkrington is separated from the town of Rochdale by the rest of Middleton and rural land. The “Woodside” district of Alkrington is home to a number of affluent properties with Woodfield Road, Middleton's most expensive street, being located here.

North Manchester Rugby Club (aka North Manchester RUFC) is an amateur sports club situated 5 miles north of the centre of Manchester. It is the only rugby union club in the city of Manchester, north of the centre. Established originally in 1921 in Prestwich as Prestwich Rugby Union Football Club, the club moved to Rhodes Cricket Club in 1951 and changed its name to Prestwich & Middleton Rugby Union Football Club. A further move in 1985, this time to the current ground Tudor Lodge in Moston saw the club rename again, this time to North Manchester Rugby Club. In 1991 the club merged with the struggling Oldham college Rugby Union Football Club, maintaining the name of North Manchester.The first XV won North Lancs 2 2013/14 and were undefeated in doing so gaining promotion to North Lancs 1, now called Lancashire (North).

Charlestown is a ward in the suburban north of the city of Manchester, England. The population of the ward at the 2011 census was 14,332. Voters from this ward elect three councillors to Manchester City Council. The Ward lies mostly within the lower part of the suburb of Blackley, with Blackley Golf club acting as the ward boundary. Different parts of this ward are represented by different MPs following boundary changes in 2018; the majority of the ward is part of the Blackley and Broughton constituency but a small portion (in Moston) is part of the Manchester Central constituency.

Greengate is an industrial district in the town of Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester. It is located in the south west of Chadderton, close to the town's common borders with Middleton to the west and Moston in the City of Manchester which lies to the south. For postal purposes Greengate lies within the Manchester postal district (M24, Middleton). British aircraft manufacturer Avro, later BAE Chadderton, built a factory at Greengate in 1938–39. It was one of the largest employers in the area. The BAE factory was closed in 2012 and purchased later that year by NOV (formerly National Oilwell Varco), an American multinational working in oil and gas.

Moston is a suburb of Manchester, in North West England, approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) north-east of the city centre. Historically in Lancashire, Moston is a predominantly residential area, with a population of 14,518 at the 2011 census and an area of approximately 1,300 acres (5.3 km2).

Broadhurst Park is a football ground in Moston, Manchester, England. It is the home of F.C. United of Manchester and Moston Juniors F.C. The ground was known by its project name, Moston Community Stadium, before being changed at a members' meeting in 2014. F.C. United formed in 2005, and aimed to construct a ground in Manchester by 2012. After plans for an initial site collapsed, the development of a new ground in Moston was announced. A protracted planning process followed, and construction began in November 2013. Broadhurst Park was completed with a capacity of 4,400 in May 2015. The opening match was a friendly between F.C. United and Benfica on 29 May 2015. F.C. United played host to Stockport County in their first ever competitive league match at Broadhurst Park on 11 August 2015.

Football Club United of Manchester is a semi-professional football club based in Moston, Manchester, England, that competes in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, the seventh tier of the English football league system, and plays home matches at Broadhurst Park. Founded in 2005 by Manchester United supporters opposed to American businessman Malcolm Glazer's takeover, F.C. United entered Division Two of the North West Counties Football League, earned three consecutive promotions and were promoted for a fourth time to National League North for the 2015–16 season. In cup competitions, F.C. United reached the second round of the FA Cup in 2010–11 and the fourth round of the FA Trophy in 2014–15. In 2019 they were relegated back to the Northern Premier League. After ground-sharing between 2005 and 2014 with Bury at Gigg Lane, F.C. United opened their own ground, Broadhurst Park in north-east Manchester, in May 2015. The team was managed by Karl Marginson from its formation in 2005 until October 2017. The current manager is Neil Reynolds, who took over as manager in October 2018 from David Chadwick who acted as temporary manager following Tom Greaves's resignation in August 2018. The club's regular kit colours are red shirts, white shorts and black socks. Their badge is based on the Manchester coat of arms and features a ship at sea and three stripes for the three rivers that flow through Manchester. After Heart of Midlothian and Exeter City, United is the third-largest fan-owned football club in the United Kingdom by number of members, and has one of the highest home attendances in English non-league football. The club is democratically run by its members who have equal voting rights and own one share each in the club.

St Matthew's RC High School is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school located in the Moston area of Manchester, England. The school is named after Saint Matthew, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and, according to Christian tradition, one of the four Evangelists.

Higher Blackley is an electoral district or ward in the north of the City of Manchester, England. The population of this ward at the 2011 census was 11,688.Heaton Park, one of Europe's largest parks, is in this ward.A new "education village" has been constructed in Higher Blackley, including a "learning resource centre" containing a library and IT facilities with specialist facilities including Science, Humanities and English. The project was occupied in stages, with Our Lady's RC High School and North Ridge SEN occupying the building by January 2009, followed by Meade Hill ESBD in July 2009.In 2014, a report from Open Society Foundations described the Higher Blackley ward as " a strong and often supportive community with a sense of identity and belonging based on solid social bonds and connections ... a community that had significant pockets of deprivation alongside areas of relative affluence, a majority white working-class community which has undergone social change including increased migration into the area, and a history of far-right political activity".

Moston railway station in Moston, Manchester, England, is 4 miles (6 km) north of Manchester Victoria on the Caldervale Line managed by Northern. Moston station opened in February 1872. It is on Hollinwood Avenue, in New Moston, and is unstaffed, the station buildings having been demolished in the late 1990s. Tickets must be purchased on the train.
