Pembrey Country Park

Pembrey Burrows stretch from Burry Port's harbour area – a former coal port, now a marina – to Pembrey Country Park, a leisure and nature complex that is one of West Wales's leading visitor attraction. The Burrows not only provide sanctuary of coastal wildlife but are also a source of seafood for the local residents – including razor clams and samphire. The coast is easily accessed by foot or bicycle by way of the Millennium Coastal Path. Slightly inland is the championship Ashburnham Golf Course and the village of Pembrey itself. Pembrey centres on a village square and magnificent St. Illtyd's Church Celtic Christianity. Court Farm on Pembrey's Mountain Road dates back to Norman times, reputedly established by Arnold le Boteler. Pembrey also encompasses the Welsh Motor Sports Centre at the former RAF Pembrey Sands; Pembrey Airport with its flying school; and Pembrey Mountain, popular with walkers. The village was once the home of Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith while serving in the Royal Air Force.

A World War I explosive factory, which was to be later known as NEF Pembrey was built, by Nobel's Explosives, with British Government approval, near the village of Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The factory was built on a site consisting of mainly sandhills and sand dunes to provide some protection against damage caused by an explosion. Its main product was TNT (Trinitrotoluene) used for shell filling. The same site was used in World War II to build another explosive factory ROF Pembrey, which also made TNT. Like all explosives factories, they needed a guaranteed year-round supply of water and good transport links. The site was connected to the Great Western Railway at Pembrey.

Craiglon Bridge Halt railway station may have served the Craig-Lon Colliery and its workers near Pembrey, but this business was closed in the 1930s. It continued to serve the inhabitants of the Lando area between 1932 and 1953 and was one of several basic halts opened on the Burry Port and Gwendraeth Valley Railway in Carmarthenshire, Wales. A firing range was located nearby in WWII.

Pembrey (Welsh: Pen-bre) is a village in Carmarthenshire, Wales, situated between Burry Port and Kidwelly, overlooking Carmarthen Bay, with a population of about 2,154 in 2011. The electoral ward having a population of 4,301. It is in the community of Pembrey and Burry Port Town.

Kidwelly Flats Halt railway station served the Royal Ordnance Factory (ROF) and RAF Pembrey at Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, Wales between 1941 and 1957. It was on the West Wales Line.

Pembrey Circuit is a motor racing circuit near Pembrey village, Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is the home of Welsh motorsport, providing racing for cars, motorcycles, karts and trucks. The circuit's facilities have also been used for a single-venue rally.

Court Farm in Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, Wales, is an ancient and formerly imposing manor house which is now an overgrown ruin, but structurally sound, and capable of repair and restoration. It consists of three buildings: the farmhouse, a complex two-storey house of approximately 99 square metres; an adjacent barn; and a later cowshed.

Pembrey West Wales Airport (Welsh: Maes Awyr Pen-Bre) is located 6 NM (11 km; 6.9 mi) west northwest of Llanelli (9 NM (17 km; 10 mi) south of Carmarthen) in Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, in Wales. Pembrey has one hard runway designated as 22LH/C and 04RH/C. The airport and its ICAO code EGPF were withdrawn from the Aeronautical Information Publication in July 2022.Pembrey airport is situated inside the Royal Air Force danger area D118 known as Pembrey Sands Air Weapons Range. Pembrey is open seven days a week but only open at weekends unless a prior booking is made, due to an LOA with the MoD to operate civil and commercial flights during operational hours as long as any visiting aircraft obtain the required PPR from the RAF. The licence has been temporary withdrawn for construction work to be completed on one of the taxiways by the CAA along with taxiway Bravo the APAPI and NDB systems

Pinged Halt railway station was opened in 1909 but was renamed Pinged railway station in 1922. It continued to serve the inhabitants of the Pinged area between 1909 and 1953 and was one of several basic halts opened on the Burry Port and Gwendraeth Valley Railway in Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Pembrey and Burry Port Town (Welsh: Pen-bre a Phorth Tywyn) is a community located in Carmarthenshire, Wales including the town of Burry Port and the village of Pembrey. The community population taken at the 2011 census was 8,547.The community lies on the north-eastern shore of Carmarthen Bay. It is bordered by the communities of: Llansteffan; St Ishmael; Kidwelly; Trimsaran; and Llanelli Rural, all being in Carmarthenshire. The community was renamed from Cefn Sidan in 1999; Cefn Sidan is a beach in the area.
