Area 71

Caverna is an unincorporated community in southern McDonald County, Missouri, United States. It is located on U.S. Route 71, immediately north of the Missouri-Arkansas state line, opposite Bella Vista. Several businesses are located there. A post office called Caverna was established in 1876, and remained in operation until 1906. The community was named for caves near the original town site.

Tanyard Creek is a stream in Benton County in northwest Arkansas. It is a tributary of Little Sugar Creek in the Bella Vista resort region of northwest Benton County. The stream headwaters arise about four miles northwest of Bentonville just east of Arkansas Highway 72 at 36°24′06″N 94°16′54″W. The stream flows north and northeast through the Bella Vista community where is contained to form Lake Windsor. Below the dam the stream crosses under Arkansas Highway 340 to its confluence with Little Sugar Creek just north of Bella Vista Village and adjacent to U.S. Route 71. The confluence is at 36°28′42″N 94°15′09″W with an elevation of 968 feet (295 m).

Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel is a chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas, designed by E. Fay Jones and Maurice Jennings and constructed in 1988. The chapel was commissioned by John A. Cooper, Sr. to honor Mildred Borum Cooper, his late wife. The chapel was designed to celebrate both God and his creations.Located on a wooded site along Lake Norwood, the chapel has become a popular tourist destination in Northwest Arkansas. It is also popular as a venue for wedding ceremonies.

Lake Windsor is a man-made lake in the Bella Vista area of Benton County in northwest Arkansas, United States. The lake is on Tanyard Creek just upstream from its confluence with Little Sugar Creek.

Bear Hollow is a valley in McDonald County in the U.S. state of Missouri.Some say Bear Hollow derives its name from a corruption of Baer, the surname of a local family, while others believe the area was a hunting ground of bears, causing the name to be selected.

Lake Ann is small man-made lake in the Bella Vista, region of northern Benton County, Arkansas. The lake was created by damming a small west flowing stream in Pinion Hollow that is a tributary to Little Sugar Creek. The lake lies about one mile east-southeast of Bella Vista Village.

Bella Vista Ambulance Services was a non-profit corporation that provided Emergency Medical Services in Bella Vista, Arkansas from 1977 to 2010. It had a 1,000-square-foot (100 m2) office located at 652 Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista. In 2004, the Bella Vista Fire Department received 1,403 medical calls. As of 2010 the Bella Vista Ambulance Services were turned completely over to the control of the Bella Vista Fire Department.

Bella Vista is a city in Benton County, Arkansas, United States. First established in 1917 as a summer resort destination, Bella Vista has evolved and redesigned itself over the succeeding years. Bella Vista became a retirement community in 1965, and, after much contention and a 2006 vote of its property owners, became an incorporated city. Following its official incorporation on January 1, 2007, the new city government took over the police department, fire department, streets, trash removal and other city functions, while the Property Owners Association (POA) retained control of the many amenities available to members (property owners) and their guests. Amenities include numerous parks, clubhouses with workout areas, swimming pools, five 18-hole golf courses, two nine-hole golf course, seven lakes with fishing and boat docks (three ski lakes), a marina, swimming beach, putt putt golf courses and tennis courts, dog park, softball field, and extensive hiking and biking trails. The city of Bella Vista is located on the Springfield Plateau of the Ozark Mountains. Oak/hickory forests, along with valleys, creeks, and steep rises, characterize the city's topography. Bella Vista is located north of Bentonville and Rogers within the Northwest Arkansas region. The city has been experiencing a population and building boom in recent years, as indicated by a 60% growth in population between the 2000 and 2010 censuses.

Jane is a village in McDonald County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Route 90 at its intersection with U.S. Route 71. The original settlement is approximately one mile east on an older alignment of US 71. It had been an unincorporated community for many years, and previously had the ZIP code of 64846, though rural delivery is currently managed from the post office in Anderson. Jane now shares the ZIP code of 64856 with Pineville, the county seat, and the post office which had previously been charged with rural mail delivery prior to its scaling back of operations. Jane re-incorporated in 2005 after a petition-drive of local residents, in order to block possible annexation by Pineville, five miles to the northwest. Pineville had greatly expanded the city limit with the opening of the widened US 71 (later named Interstate 49) highway, to its west. In 2006, the village of Jane again expanded southward from its original boundaries to include a large section of US 71 at the behest of the McDonald County planning commission. It now extends south to within a half-mile of the Arkansas state line, abutting with the unincorporated Caverna, and running primarily along the US 71 corridor. Municipal services include a volunteer fire department, rural water and sewer service that is tied via a lift-pump system with the sewage treatment plant in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Funding for the sewer system was provided by a municipal bond voted on by the residents in 2008, with the payback coming directly from those served. Electric power for the area is supplied by New-Mac Electric Company, a cooperative based in Neosho. White Rock Elementary School, part of McDonald County R-I School District, is located near the village center. Law enforcement and 911 services are provided by the McDonald County Sheriff's Office, located in Pineville.
