Sandlings

Rushmere Common (also Rushmere Heath) is common land situated on the eastern outskirts of Ipswich mainly within the parish of Rushmere St. Andrew, Suffolk, England. It is predominately heathland, gorse and woodland, and hosts a golf course. It adjoins the Sandlings Open Space to the east (which is owned and managed by Suffolk Coastal Council) and is crossed by a number of footpaths, including the Sandlings Walk – a long-distance footpath which starts on the common and ends 50 miles away in Southwold.

Mill Stream Nature Reserve is a 4.7 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Rushmere St Andrew on the eastern outskirts of Ipswich in Suffolk. It is owned by Suffolk Coastal District Council and managed by the council together with Rushmere St Andrew Parish Council and the Greenways Countryside Project.This linear site along the banks of a stream also has ponds, wet carr, woodland, wildflower grassland and willow scrub. There are ancient oak trees, and fauna include water voles.There is access from several roads including Kentwell Close and Euston Avenue.

Rushmere St Andrew is a village, civil parish and electoral ward adjacent to part of the eastern edge of the borough of Ipswich in the East Suffolk district of Suffolk, England. The parish includes most of Rushmere Heath and parts of the Ipswich suburb of Broke Hall as well as the village of Rushmere St. Andrew, from which it draws its name. The parish was formed in 1894 from the rural part of the parish of Rushmere.

Ipswich Wanderers Football Club is a football club based in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. They are currently members of the Eastern Counties League Premier Division and play at Humber Doucy Lane in Rushmere.

Foxhall Stadium is a Stock car and speedway stadium located in Foxhall near Ipswich. The Stadium is run by Spedeworth Motorsports stock car promoters. The stadium opened in 1951 and has been in continuous operation since.

The divisions they represent are either fully or partially in the South East Area: The area is also covered by a Neighbourhood Watch network which comprises 35 neighbourhood watch schemes.

Ipswich Hospital is a large district general hospital in Heath Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, England. It is now managed by East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust which was formed on 1 July 2018 by the merging of Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust with Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust.

Ipswich Golf Club is a members club based in Ipswich, Suffolk. It maintains the Purdis Heath course. The club was founded in 1895 with its original course on common land, part of Rushmere Common. However it was not until 1928 that the Purdis Heath course was opened. The course was designed by James Braid. The course is 6,431 yards long with a par of 71. The club hosted the Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship twice, in 1973 when Anne Stant won with Mary Everard as runner up and in 1987 when it was won by Linda Bayman with Jill Thornhill and Nicola Way as runners-up.

Bixley Heath is a 5.1-hectare (13-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest on the eastern outskirts of Ipswich in Suffolk. It is also a Local Nature Reserve owned and managed by Ipswich Borough Council.

Purdis Farm is a civil parish, in the East Suffolk district, in the English county of Suffolk. It is located on the eastern edge of Ipswich and includes areas of suburban housing and industrial development along the A1156, including the area of Warren Heath. In 2001 the population of the area was 1743, the population increasing to 2,092 at the 2011 Census.The Suffolk County Showground is located within the parish at Trinity Park, as are areas of farmland, part of Ipswich Golf Club and open areas such as part of Bixley Heath, a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The Suffolk Sandlings Walk passes through the area.
