Cwmcarnhywel

Llwynhendy (sometimes spelled Llwyn-Hendy), is a village and ward near the town of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The ward, which includes the village, as well as Cefncaeau, parts of Cwmcarnhywel and parts of Bryn and Penceilogi, had a population of 4,276. It is bordered by Bynea, Cwmcarnhywel, Cefncaeau and Pen-y-graig. It is an old village with strong industrial roots. The (now closed) steel-works in nearby Bynea was a major employer until the decline of the steel industry. The village is 50 ft above sea level and is based around the Nant Caerhuan that finds its source in nearby Gelli Farm, Bryn, Llanelli. The nearby Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust site in the old Penclacwydd farm near the village is the only wetland wildlife trust centre in the whole of Wales.

Penceilogi is a small village on the northern outskirts of Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is bordered by Bryn to the east, Dafen to the north-west, Pemberton to the west and Cwmcarnhywel to the south.

Parc y Scarlets (Welsh pronunciation: [ˈpark ə ˈskarlɛts], meaning: Scarlets Park) is a rugby union stadium in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, that opened in November 2008 as the new home of the Scarlets and Llanelli RFC. The ground replaced Stradey Park, the home of Llanelli's rugby teams for almost 130 years. The stadium complex includes facilities for matchday supporters and for non-matchday revenue generation, as well as a training barn and a training pitch with athletics track. The stadium also occasionally hosts some matches of the Wales national under-21 and senior football teams, as well as Llanelli Town A.F.C.'s matches in European competitions. Swansea City A.F.C. Reserve Team played all of their home fixtures at the stadium in the 2011/2012 season. In 2020 the venue was used for Wales home games during the Autumn Nations Cup due to the Millennium Stadium being used as a backup Covid venue to Dragon's Heart hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Llanelli Rural (Welsh: Llanelli Gwledig) is a community in the southeast of Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Pemberton is an area situated east of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is part of the Llanelli Rural (Welsh-Llanelli Wledig) community bordering Llanelli and the villages of Cwmcarnhywel, Dafen, Cefncaeau and the outskirts of Llanelli town.

St. Michael's School (Welsh: Ysgol Mihangel Sant) is a private day and boarding school for pupils aged from 3 to 18 years old in Llanelli, Wales. The school is divided into four sections, comprising the Pre-Preparatory School, Preparatory School, Senior School and Sixth Form. The current head teacher is Benson Ferrari.

Pen-y-graig, also spelled Penygraig (), is an area of Llanelli, in Carmarthenshire, Wales, bordering with Bynea, Llwynhendy, and Bryn all of which are in the Llanelli Rural district of Llanelli. It is 100 feet (30 m) above sea level and overlooking the Loughor estuary. Welsh is the main language of the area where most of the children either attend the Welsh school in Cwmcarnhywel -Ysgol Brynsierfel or the English School- Ysgol Y Bynea.

Trostre Steelworks is a tinplate manufacturing facility located in Pemberton, Carmarthenshire, just outside Llanelli, West Wales. Planned by the Steel Company of Wales in 1947, today it is part of Tata Steel Europe's infrastructure.

St. John Lloyd Catholic Comprehensive School is located in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is a mixed, community comprehensive school of around 500 pupils, catering for all abilities across an age range of 11 to 16 years. It is dedicated to St. John Lloyd, who was executed in Cardiff in 1679 for exercising his priesthood.The school is situated in Llanelli's Dafen suburb, although pupils are drawn from as far afield as Carmarthen, Pembrey, Burry Port, Kidwelly, and Trimsaran. Bryn (locally known using the Welsh: Y Bryn; meaning: "the Hill") is a village situated east of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is part of the Llanelli Rural (Welsh: Llanelli Wledig) community, and it borders with the villages of Llangennech, Dafen, Penceilogi, Pen-y-graig and Bynea. It is roughly 70m above sea level. It is mainly a suburban area with surrounding farm land to the north and east. The village has its own school Ysgol Y Bryn, which is an English school. It is also home to St Michael's Independent Secondary School, Primary School and Sixth Form (Year 12 and 13). The Welsh schools are in the nearby villages of Llangennech and Cwmcarnhywel. The Welsh language is the dominant language with over half of the village's population able to speak it. The village sprang up during the 1960s when many more houses were built. Before that it was only a hamlet with a few farms.

WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre at Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales is one of ten wetland nature reserves in the UK managed by the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, a nature conservation charity. The visitor centre has accessible toilets, a coffee shop and retail area. During school holidays, there are nature-based activities and events.

Dafen is a village situated east of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, Wales, part of the Llanelli Rural community. Dafen borders the villages of Felinfoel (Bryngwyn-Mawr), Bryn, Penceilogi, and Pemberton. Dafen is also an electoral ward, electing councillors to Llanelli Rural Council and Carmarthenshire County Council. At the 2001 census the Dafen ward had a population of 3,433, increasing to 3,597 at the 2011 Census.The village has both residential and industrial areas, and Llanelli's Prince Philip Hospital is located here. Wales Air Ambulance is based at Dafen in a purpose-built headquarters completed in 2016.
