Schäftlarn

Hohenschäftlarn station (German: Haltepunkt Hohenschäftlarn) is a railway station in the municipality of Schäftlarn, in Bavaria, Germany. It is located on the Isar Valley line of Deutsche Bahn.

Ebenhausen-Schäftlarn station is a station on the Isar Valley Railway from Munich to Bichl in the German state of Bavaria. Since 1981, it has been a station of the Munich S-Bahn. The station building is registered as a historic building on the List of Bavarian Monuments.

Baierbrunn is a municipality in the district of Munich in the south-German state Bavaria. It is located between Schäftlarn and Pullach on the Bundesstraße 11 and consists of the two villages Baierbrunn and Buchenhain. Baierbrunn has a stop on the S7 of the Munich S-Bahn.

The Loisach is a river that flows through Tyrol, Austria and Bavaria, Germany. Its name might be Celtic in origin, from Proto-Celtic *lawo and *iskā, both of which mean "water". The Loisach goes through the great swamp Murnauer Moos. The Loisach is a 113-kilometre-long (70 mi) left tributary to the Isar. The source of the Loisach is near Ehrwald in Austria. The Loisach flows past Garmisch-Partenkirchen and into the Kochelsee. At the Kochelsee the water that was diverted from the upper river Isar for the Walchensee Hydroelectric Power Station joins the Loisach. The Loisach then flows out of Kochelsee and joins the Isar at Wolfratshausen. A canal joins the Isar and the Loisach returning the water diverted for power generation to the Isar before Wolfratshausen to reduce the risk of flooding in the town. The most important tributaries of the Loisach entering from the right-hand side are the Hammersbach, the Partnach near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the streams Kuhflucht near Farchant, Röhrlbach and Lauterbach near Oberau, the Mühlbach near Eschenlohe, as well as the Eschenlaine near Eschenlohe, and the Kaltwasserleine near Ohlstadt and the Lainbach coming from the Benediktenwand. On the left, the Loisach receives a notable tributary at Griesen from the Neidernach, at Oberau from Gießenbach and at Murnau via the Ramsach, which drains the entire Murnauer Moos.

Munich International School (MIS) is a private coeducational international school located in Starnberg, south of Munich, Germany. MIS teaches students from EC (Early Child - years 4-5) to grade 12. Students travel from an area around Munich to attend the school, with the help of a school bus network that reaches into the area around Munich, even all the way to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The School is divided into three groups: Junior, Middle, and Senior School. MIS is an accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School which offers all three IB programmes. Lessons are taught in English, and German is the compulsory second language. MIS offers Spanish, French and Mandarin as third language options. The current head of the school is Timothy Thomas.

Wolfratshausen station is a station of the Munich S-Bahn. It is located in the Upper Bavarian town of Wolfratshausen in Germany. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station. It has two platform tracks next to a central platform. The station is located in the network area of the Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (Munich Transport and Tariff Association, MVV) and is served by line 7 of the S-Bahn, which is operated by Deutsche Bahn. The station was established on 27 July 1891 as a terminus when the Isar Valley Railway from Munich was put into operation. The line was built and operated by Lokalbahn AG (LAG). The station became a through station on 1 June 1897 when the Isar Valley Railway was extended to Eurasburg. In 1898, the line was extended from Eurasburg to Bichl. Until the nationalisation of the LAG in 1938 the Wolfratshausen station included a locomotive depot. From 1957 to 27 May 1972 Deutsche Bundesbahn closed the line between Bichl and Wolfratshausen in several stages, so that Wolfratshausen station became a terminus. On 28 May 1972, S-Bahn services began between Munich and Wolfratshausen.
