Løvstakken

Gullsteinen is a large hill in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. It is part of the Løvstakken mountain massif. Its peak is located 354 metres (1,161 ft) above sea level, and is accessible by hiking paths from all sides.

The Løvstakken Tunnel (Norwegian: Løvstakktunnelen) is a road tunnel in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. The tunnel connects the Fyllingsdalen area with the eastern part of the borough of Laksevåg and the city centre. It was built in 1968 to improve connectivity with the newly developed area. The tunnel had an average daily traffic of 17,015 vehicles in 2007, down from 17,702 vehicles in 2000. The tunnel is 2,045 metres (6,709 ft) long.In 2002, a safety study by the German company Deutsche Montan Technologie found serious shortcomings in the tunnel's safety, and among 30 European tunnels studied, the tunnel was ranked in 27th place. To improve matters, the flammable polyethylene foam in the tunnel was removed, fire extinguishers and emergency phones were installed at 50-metre (160 ft) and 250-metre (820 ft) intervals respectively, surveillance cameras, emergency lighting, and emergency signage were introduced, and the speed limit was reduced from 70 to 60 kilometres per hour (43 to 37 mph). This raised the safety standard to minimum requirements, but the traffic volume is still large for a single tunnel.

Løvstakksiden, commonly shortened to Løvstakken or simply Stakken, is a neighbourhood in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. Currently it is part of the borough of Årstad, but before 2000 it was part of a borough called "Løvstakken" which covered the eastern and western sides of the mountain Løvstakken, consisting of Fyllingsdalen in the west and Løvstakksiden in the east.Although the neighbourhood has no official boundaries, it can be said to cover the urban area to the northeast of the mountain Løvstakken, or parts of western Årstad. Løvstakksiden is not considered a "traditional" neighbourhood of Bergen, because it is located outside the core borough of Bergenhus. However it remains inside Bergen's urban area, in the borough of Årstad. Løvstakksiden is also a local parish in Bergen with two churches, Solheim Church and St. Markus Church.

St. Mark's Church (Norwegian: St. Markus kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Bergen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the Løvstakksiden neighborhood in the borough of Årstad in the city of Bergen. It is one of the two churches for the Løvstakksiden parish which is part of the Bergensdalen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, plastered brick church was built in a long church design and in an art deco style in 1939 using plans drawn up by the architects Sverre Losnedahl and Nicolay Brøndmo. The church seats about 650 people.

The Urdi House (Norwegian: Urdihuset or simply Urdi) is a manor house in the Gyldenpris neighborhood just outside downtown Bergen, Norway. It is located at Michael Krohn Street (Michael Krohns gate) no. 62. The house is a prime example of late Empire style architecture. The architect that designed the house is uncertain, but it has been attributed to the town surveyor Ole Peter Riis Høegh, who was active in the town between 1834 and 1848. The Urdi House received protected status in 1927.

Solheim Church (Norwegian: Solheim kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Bergen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the Solheimsviken neighborhood in the city of Bergen. It is one of the two churches for the Løvstakksiden parish which is part of the Bergensdalen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, concrete church was built in a long church design in 1956 using plans drawn up by the architect Peter Andersen. The church seats about 330 people.

Gyldenpris is a neighborhood in Bergen, Norway in the borough of Årstad.

Credokirken (formerly Levende Ord Bibelsenter Norwegian for "Living Word Bible Centre") is a charismatic megachurch in Bergen, Norway. The church also has its own bible school (together with Pinsekirken Tabernaklet and SALT Bergenskirken), and an elementary school. The senior pastor is Olav Rønhovde.

The Bergen Region is a statistical metropolitan region in the county of Hordaland in Norway. It is centered on the city of Bergen.

Bergen's Electric Tramway (Norwegian: Bergens Elektriske Sporvei) is an organization which operates a museum tramway in Møhlenpris in Bergen, Norway. The tramway is an attempt at a revival of the Bergen Tramway, which operated from 1897–1965. The tramway is based at Bergen Technical Museum. This building has recently been awarded heritage status and a large sum of money has been spent on renovations on the roof. Although the line is currently only 300 m long, an expansion to Den Nationale Scene is under construction. Further, more ambitious plans include lines to Bryggen and St Mary's Church, Nordnes and Bergen Aquarium, and VilVite.

Solheimsviken is a bay and a neighbourhood in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. The bay is situated at the end of the Damsgårdssundet strait, near the large Store Lungegårdsvann bay. Located near the city centre of Bergen, Solheimsviken was the first urbanized area in the municipality of Årstad (which is now Årstad borough in the city of Bergen). Solheimsviken has traditionally been dominated by heavy industry, although none of this remains. In recent years, inner Solheimsviken has been developed into a business park with the presence of several companies including the headquarters of GC Rieber, as well as the convention centre Arenum. There are further plans for new combined hotel and convention centre as well as a new regional headquarters for the financial group DNB.

Bergen Technical Museum (Norwegian: Bergens Tekniske Museum) is a technical museum located at Møhlenpris in Bergen, Norway. It is owned and run by various local membership groups with each their own specialized collections, which is collectively displayed in an old tram depot. The museum is the starting place and acts as a depot for Bergen's Electric Tramway, which runs a heritage tramway service. The collections also include the two old funicular cars from Fløibanen and one of four preserved NSB Di 2 locomotives.
