Kensington Church Street is a shopping street in Kensington, London, England, designated the A4204, and traditionally known for its art and antiques shops. Buildings at the southern end date back to the early 1700s. It is named after Kensington's original church of St Mary Abbots. The south part was formerly called Church Lane, and the north part, Silver Street. Until 1864 there was a toll gate at Campden Street.The street runs north to south from Notting Hill Gate to Kensington High Street. There are several Grade II listed Georgian and Victorian buildings.Time Out calls it "eccentrically posh".

The Byam Shaw School of Art, often known simply as Byam Shaw, was an independent art school in London, England, which specialised in fine art and offered foundation and degree level courses. It was founded in 1910 by John Liston Byam Shaw and Rex Vicat Cole. In 2003 it was absorbed by Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design.

Bedford Gardens is a street in Kensington, London. It runs west–east from Campden Hill Road to Kensington Church Street. The street was originally called Bedford Place. In 1824, William Hall the elder and William Hall the younger planned to build more or less identical late Georgian terraces on both sides of the street. Only the eastern halves were finished, due to the sudden death of William Hall the younger in 1829 or 1830. The western end was developed largely with semi-detached houses.Marie Rambert had a ballet school and studio there in 1920, and remained there until 1927, when she moved to the Mercury Theatre, Notting Hill Gate, which became the home of the Ballet Rambert until 1987. In the early 1980s, Roger Tully purchased Rambert's late nineteenth-century dance studio in Bedford Gardens. Number 77 became a studio and living space for several artists; Robert Colquhoun, Robert MacBryde and John Minton, as well as Jankel Adler.

Essex Street Chapel, also known as Essex Church, is a Unitarian place of worship in London. It was the first church in England set up with this doctrine, and was established when Dissenters still faced legal threat. As the birthplace of British Unitarianism, Essex Street has particularly been associated with social reformers and theologians. The congregation moved west in the 19th century, allowing the building to be turned into the headquarters for the British and Foreign Unitarian Association and the Sunday School Association. These evolved into the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, the umbrella organisation for British Unitarianism, which is still based on the same site, in an office building called Essex Hall. Its range of events include interactive crafts, themed Soviet nights, and a Death Disco club night run by Creation Records founder Alan McGee. Former guest DJs have included Courtney Love and Mick Jones. The Guardian described the venue as "a haven for indie celebs and punk veterans".

Fox Primary School is a primary school in London for children between the ages of 4 and 11, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is located on Kensington Place, between Kensington Church Street and Notting Hill Gate. The school has a playground on each side. Prior to the 1960s the school was infants only, aged 5 – 7. The Junior School was adjacent, a Church of England school called St George's School. St George's had no playground and shared the Fox School playgrounds. During the Second World War, pupils from the school were evacuated and taught at Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire. The school has a large new addition to its land, completed in 2017. The school is considering an alliance with Ashburnham Community School.

The construction of a new brutalist-style building at this site had begun in 1965 and was undertaken by Jan Bočan, Jan Šrámek and Karel Štěpánský from the atelier Beta Prague Project Institute; it received an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects for the best building in the United Kingdom created by foreign architects. The building was then divided between the Czech Republic and Slovakia following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993.
