Heidenau

Heidenau (German: Bahnhof Heidenau) is a railway station in the town of Heidenau, Saxony, Germany. The station lies on the Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt railway and Müglitz Valley Railway and the train services are operated by DB Regio Südost (most as Dresden S-Bahn services).

The Maltengraben is a river of Saxony, Germany. It flows into the Lockwitzbach in Großzschachwitz, a city district of Dresden.

Pillnitz Palace (German: Schloss Pillnitz) is a restored Baroque schloss at the eastern end of the city of Dresden in the German state of Saxony. It is located on the right bank of the River Elbe in the former village of Pillnitz. It was the summer residence of many electors and kings of Saxony; it is also known for the Declaration of Pillnitz in 1791. The complex consists of three main buildings, the Riverside Palace (Wasserpalais) on the riverfront; the Upper Palace (Bergpalais) on the hillside, both Baroque with Chinoiserie elements; and the later Neoclassical New Palace (Neues Palais), which links them together on the east side. The buildings enclose a Baroque garden and are surrounded by a large public park. Today, the buildings house the arts and crafts museum (Kunstgewerbemuseum) of the Dresden State Art Collections and a Schlossmuseum.

The Pillnitz Kleinzschachwitz Ferry, also known as the Schlossfähre, is a ferry across the Elbe river in Germany. It crosses between the districts of Pillnitz and Kleinzschachwitz in the city of Dresden, close to the former's collection of palaces that give the ferry its alternate name. It carries both passengers and cars.The ferry service is operated by the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe (DVB), Dresden's municipal transport authority, and carries the number F14 in the Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe route numbering scheme. It operates every 15 minutes throughout the day. It is the only vehicle ferry operated by DVB, although they also operate a fleet of smaller passenger ferries.The ferry boat used on the service is named Schloßfähre, is diesel powered, and is propelled using Schottel pump jets. It has a length of 29 metres (95 ft) and a width of 8.6 metres (28 ft). It can carry 140 passenger and 8 cars, or 350 passengers if no cars are carried.

Dohna is a town in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district, Saxony, Germany. It is located south of Heidenau, in the Müglitz valley and lies at the northeastern foot of the Eastern Ore Mountains. It is accessed by the Pirna interchange of highway A17, and by the Dohna (Sachs) and Köttewitz stations of the Müglitz Valley Railway.

Pillnitz is a quarter in the east of Dresden, Germany. It can be reached by bus, ship, walking along the river or by bicycle. Pillnitz is most famous for its Baroque palace and park, the Pillnitz Castle. Pillnitz Palace consists of the Riverside Palace (Wasserpalais) at the river, the parallel Upper Palace (Bergpalais) towards the hills and the linking building New Palace (Neues Palais). The first two were designed by Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann. The buildings frame the Baroque inner garden; this entire ensemble is surrounded by a park. Pillnitz is known for the Declaration of Pillnitz of 1791: Emperor Leopold II and King Frederick William II of Prussia, urged by Charles X, then Comte d'Artois, declared that the French King Louis XVI was not to be harmed or deprived of power as a way to attack the progress of the French Revolution. Pillnitz is also a site of wine production. During the millennium flood of 2002 in Dresden, it was one of the most affected areas.

The Protestant Vineyard Church "Zum Heiligen Geist" is a baroque village church in the Dresden district of Pillnitz, named after its location in the Royal Vineyard. It is not to be confused with the Vineyard Church built in the 20th century in the Trachenberge district of Dresden. The sacral building was built from 1723 as a replacement for the Pillnitz Palace, which was demolished for the expansion of Pillnitz Palace. It is the first executed church building by Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann, the architect of the Dresden Zwinger, and is considered a "landmark of the Pillnitz landscape." The building, which had fallen into serious disrepair especially during the second part of the last century, was extensively restored in the 1990s. The vineyard church is under cultural heritage management and is part of the cultural landscape of the Dresden Elbe Valley.

The Keppbach is a river of Saxony, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Elbe, which it joins near Dresden.

The Carl Maria von Weber Museum is a cultural site in Dresden, in Saxony, Germany. The composer Carl Maria von Weber (1786–1826) lived here during part of his career; the house is now a museum about his life and work.

The Wesenitz (Wjazońca in Upper Sorbian language) is a river in Saxony, Germany, a right tributary of the Elbe. Its total length is 83 km (52 mi). The Wesenitz runs through the tourist regions of the Lusatian Highlands and Saxon Switzerland. Its name is derived from the Sorbian language wjaz (Elm).

Dohna Castle (German: Burg Dohna, Czech: hrad Donín) on the once important medieval trade route from Saxony to Bohemia was the ancestral castle seat of the Burgraves of Dohna. Of the old, once imposing double castle only a few remnants of the walls remain. The ruins of the old castle are located on the hill of Schlossberg near the subsequent suburb of the town of the same name, Dohna, in the district of Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge in Saxony, Germany.

The Lockwitzbach is a river of Saxony, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Elbe, which it joins near Dresden.
