Vaduthala

South Chittoor is a riverine island in the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. It is lying adjacent to Vaduthala. Chittoor is connected with Vaduthala through the Vaduthala Bridge. The island is home to Chittoor Dhyanakendram and the Chittoorappan Temple. Aster Medcity, which is one of the super speciality hospitals in Kerala is also located here.

Chittoor Sree Krishnaswamy Temple, located at South Chittoor in the city of Kochi, Kerala, India, is a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. It is a major temple under the Cochin Devaswom Board. For centuries the temple was closely associated with the Kartha family of Cheranelloor Swaroopam and was later taken over by Rama Varma Maharaja of Cochin Royal Family. It is a classic example of Kerala temple architecture. The sreekovil or sanctum sanctorum is square in shape, with a pyramidal roof covered with copper plates. Similar to the idol at Guruvayoor, the idol of Lord Krishna faces east in standing posture with 4 arms, carrying the conch named Panchajanyam, Sudarshana Chakra, Lotus and Gada. There is a small shrine of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesh to the right of the inner sanctum. The outer sanctum is built with tiled roof, houses the temple kitchen, storage and preparation areas. The shrines of Ayyappan, Naga, Brahmarakshas and Bhagavathi are located outside the outer sanctum, but within the complex. The shrine of Lord Hanuman is located outside the west entrance to the complex. The temple pond, called Agnihotratheertham lies to the north of the complex. There is a huge statue of kaaliya mardanam, where Lord Krishna is shown standing on the hood of a huge serpent. This is in reference to the legend of the serpent Kaliya being banished by Lord Krishna.

Mulavukad, also known locally as Bolgatty Island, is one of the islands that forms part of the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. It is situated in the Mulavukad Grama Panchayat. Vypin island and Vallarpadam island lie on its west side and Vaduthala lie to its east. Mulavukad is connected to mainland Ernakulam & Vallarpadam by the Goshree bridges and to Container terminal road at north side to connect to Kalamassery and Aluva side. Easy connection to the CBD, Northern and Southern side of Cochin city make the Island unique among other Goshree Islands. The Bolgatty Palace is located at the southern tip of the island. It was built by the Dutch as a centre for colonial administration, and later taken over by the British. The Palace is a popular tourist attraction and a heritage hotel, managed by the Kerala State Tourism Department (KTDC). The Lulu International Convention Center and Hyatt Hotels group is launching in Mulavukad in 2016. The island has a golf course and an international marina. The marina was the first of its kind in India and was set up by KITCO, for KTDC. Island is famous for its resorts, farm houses, water sports, safe bicycle routes, jogging tracks and multi cuisine restaurants. Attraction of the Mulavukad is the cosmopolitan culture. People of all religion and political beliefs live in harmony and always united together for any common issues. Recently it is booming as a residential hub for Advocates from Kerala High Court and Doctors from Aster Medcity. A service road is sanctioned along the west side of the Island in parallel to the container road.

Moolampilly is an Island in Kochi surrounded by river Periyar. It is a part of Kadamakkudy grama panchyath, Kanayannur Taluk, Ernakulam District in the Indian state of Kerala. The Word " Moolampilly" is derived from the Portuguese word " Molambo" means Rag. The Portuguese people created the christian community in moolampilly island. Portuguese heritage is still over there. Moolampilly is famous for the handmade earthenpots and Tandoori ovens. Moolampilly Kaliman (Clay) Society was formed in 1962.Several residents of Moolampilly were evacuated for the Vallarpadam Transship Container Terminal Project. The State Government settled all outstanding issues regarding the rehabilitation package on 6 June 2011.Four bridges, including the Moolampilly - Pizhala bridge, are to be constructed to connect the islanders to the mainland.

Pachalam is a region in the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. Goshree bridge road at Marine Drive side ends at Pachalam. Pachalam can also be reached by Chittoor Road. Mulavukad island is on its west, Vaduthala and Chittoor island is on its north, Elamakkara at north east, Mamagalam and Palarivattom is on its east, Kaloor on southeast. It is also located between Marine Drive, Kaloor and Edapally acting as a connecting link between the most important places in Kochi. One of the main attractions near Pachalam is the famous Queen's Walkway, that connects Pachalam to the Gosree bridge Road and to Marine Drive. Although the roads are very narrow (except for the wide Pottakuzhy Road which is badly maintained), the traffic has increased, as roads inside Pachalam give a much needed respite to motorists who were looking an alternative to escape from the hardships of motoring through Banerjee Road especially during this phase of Kochi Metro construction. A Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies (KITTS) study centre is located in Pachalam.

Amrita Hospital, formerly known as Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a multi-speciality tertiary care hospital based in Kochi, India. It is attached to Amrita University school of medicine and one of the largest medical facilities in India with a total built-up area of over 3.33 million sq.ft, spread over 125 acres of land. It is a 1,350-bed hospital which supports an annual patient volume of about 800,000 outpatients and 50,000 inpatients. It was founded by Mata Amritanandamayi and inaugurated on 17 May 1998 by the then Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Mata Amritanandamayi Math is its parent organisation. The campus also houses medical school, dentistry, nursing, health sciences, pharmacy schools and school of nanosciences and molecular medicine of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Ron Gottsegen is the executive director and Prem Nair is the medical director of the institution. Dr.Gireesh Kumar K.P. is the Principal/Dean of Amrita School of Medicine. The hospital has got accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for its laboratories and the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) for the hospital overall. In 2022, Amrita School of Medicine was ranked the eighth best medical college in India by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in their annual NIRF rankings.

Aster Medcity is a quaternary care healthcare centre in the city of Kochi and one of the largest in South India. It is the flagship hospital of Aster DM Healthcare, a healthcare conglomerate founded by Azad Moopen. This was the third venture of the group in Kerala, after Aster MIMS and DM Wayanad Institute of Medical Sciences (DMWIMS).

Changampuzha Park is a recreational park and a venue for various cultural activities in the city of Kochi, Kerala, India. Established in 1977, the park is situated at Edapally, the birthplace of the great poet Changampuzha Krishna Pillai, on the side of the National Highway leading to Aluva. The park is popular among children, elderly persons and others. It serves as a venue for several art and cultural programmes of importance. The park is maintained by Greater Cochin Development Authority, and houses the Changampuzha Samskarika Kendram (Changampuzha Cultural Society). The park serves as a live monument to the evergreen romantic Malayalam poet, Changampuzha Krishna Pillai and houses a statue of the great poet.

Changampuzha Park is a station of Kochi Metro. It was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 17 June and opened for public on 19 June 2017 as a part of the first stretch of the metro system, between Aluva and Palarivattom. The station is located between Edapally and Palarivattom, close to the Changampuzha Park.
