Congressional Avenue

Commonwealth Avenue, formerly known as Don Mariano Marcos Avenue, is a 12.4-kilometer (7.7 mi) highway located in Quezon City, Philippines, which spans from six to eighteen lanes and is the widest in the Philippines. It is one of the major roads in Metro Manila and is designated as part of Radial Road 7 (R-7) of the older Manila arterial road system and National Route 170 (N170) of the Philippine highway network. Commonwealth Avenue starts from Elliptical Road, which circumscribes the Quezon Memorial Circle, and it passes through the areas of Philcoa, Tandang Sora, Balara, Batasan Hills, Fairview, and ends at Quirino Highway in the Novaliches area. The avenue, being located on Quezon City, which is listed as one of several cities in Metro Manila with high incidence of road accidents, has a high rate of accidents, especially related to overspeeding, and has gained the nickname "Killer Highway". A 60-kilometer-per-hour (37 mph) speed limit is being enforced to reduce the high rate of accidents on the avenue.

The U.P.–Ayala Land TechnoHub is an information technology hub jointly developed by the University of the Philippines Diliman and property developer Ayala Land. It is located in Commonwealth Avenue, Barangay U.P. Campus, Quezon City. It occupies 20 hectares (49 acres) within the 37.5 hectares (93 acres) of the U.P. North Science and Technology Park.

The Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA) was formed "In order to advance the economic and social development of the Region through the promotion of the study, practice and status of public administration and adoption of adequate administrative systems", by international treaty signed in Manila in the Philippines on 19 June 1958. EROPA was officially formed on 5 December 1960. EROPA is a partner of the United Nations Public Administration Network (UNPAN). EROPA also has special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.The Philippines remains the center for its activities, since having hosted the first Regional Conference on Public Administration 7 to 20 June 1958, with EROPA being based out of National College of Public Administration and Governance, University of the Philippines, Quezon City, Philippines. In addition to the headquarters in the Philippines, it has four active centers: Development Management Center (South Korea) in conjunction with the National Human Resources Development Institute in Gyeonggi Province Human Resource Research Center (formerly E-Government Research Center) (China) in conjunction with the Chinese Academy of Personnel Science in Beijing Local Government Center (Japan) in conjunction with the Local Autonomy College in Tokyo Policy Studies Center (Indonesia) in conjunction with the National Institute of Public Administration in Jakarta. The Philippine Research Reactor-1 (PRR-1) is a research reactor that is owned and maintained by the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI) in Quezon City, Philippines. The PRR-1 is the first nuclear reactor and the only nuclear facility that has been operated in the Philippines. It has been in extended shutdown for more than 30 years since 1988. Currently, a subcritical reactor is being established that will utilize the existing PRR-1 fuel.

The University of the Philippines Diliman AGT was an automated guideway transit (AGT) system constructed for technology demonstration within the campus of the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City in the Philippines. It served as a test track for the first mass transit system to be built and developed in the country by local engineers.The first phase of the project was funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in a joint project with the UP administration. DOST provided funding and supervised the first phase as well as the design of the coaches and track to be used. If found feasible, the project would be expanded into a 6.9-kilometre (4.3 mi) intracampus loop. In October 2018, the DOST announced that it would dismantle the railway line and transfer it to another university after UP declined use of the facility.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS, Tagalog: [ˈfivolks]; Tagalog: Surian ng Pilipinas sa Bulkanolohiya at Sismolohiya) is a Philippine national institution dedicated to provide information on the activities of volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis, as well as other specialized information and services primarily for the protection of life and property and in support of economic, productivity, and sustainable development. It is one of the service agencies of the Department of Science and Technology. PHIVOLCS monitors volcano, earthquake, and tsunami activity, and issues warnings as necessary. It is mandated to mitigate disasters that may arise from such volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and other related geotectonic phenomena.

The Philippine Coconut Authority (Filipino: Pangasiwaan sa Niyog ng Pilipinas, abbreviated as PCA or PHILCOA) is an agency of the Philippine government under the Department of Agriculture (from 2014 to 2018, under the Office of the President of the Philippines and the Office of the Cabinet Secretary) responsible for developing the coconut and other palm oil industry to its full potential in line with the new vision of a united, globally competitive and efficient industry.

University of the Philippines Arboretum, also known as UP Arboretum, is a botanical garden located on the campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, Philippines. It lies at the northern part of the village of U.P. Campus between the U.P.-Ayala Land TechnoHub on Commonwealth Avenue to the south and Central Avenue and the village of Culiat to the north, close to the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute. The 16-hectare (40-acre) man-made forest garden houses a collection of more than 9,000 tropical plants of about 77 unique species. It is one of few rainforests of its size located entirely within Metro Manila.

Asian Institute of Tourism (Tagalog: Linangan ng Turismo sa Asya) is one of the colleges under the University of the Philippines System and is located at the UP Diliman campus.

The Quezon City Museum Complex, more commonly known as the QCX Museum or the Quezon City Experience Museum is an interactive and socio-cultural green building-compliant city museum which was inaugurated on November 9, 2015, within the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. QCX primarily displays the history and culture of Quezon City. It is touted as the first interactive museum of the city. The museum concept was conceived in 2006.

The Net 25 tower is a free-standing lattice tower with triangular cross section used by Net 25 a Philippine television network based out of Quezon City. Built in the year 2000, the tower stands 276.4 meters (907 ft) tall.It is currently the tallest structure in the Philippines and one of the tallest lattice towers in the world.

The Philippines' Agricultural Training Institute (Filipino: Surian ng Pasanayang Pang-agrikultura, abbreviated as ATI), is an agency of the Philippine government under the Department of Agriculture responsible for training agricultural extension workers and their clientele; conducting multi-level training programs to promote and accelerate rural development; and ensuring that research results are communicated to the farmers through appropriate training and extension activities.
