The Roscoe–Dunaway Gardens Historic District is a rock and floral garden located south of the historic town of Roscoe in Coweta County, Georgia, and the adjacent Dunaway Gardens. Part of the district is located in Fulton County. Seventy-nine buildings and two other structures contribute to the historic district.

B.T. Brown Reservoir is a reservoir of 300 acres (1.2 km2) in Coweta County, Georgia, United States. It is located at 621 S Alexander Creek Road Newnan, Georgia 30263. The reservoir is maintained by the Coweta County Water & Sewerage Authority . The reservoir was built for its ability to be a water treatment facility. The reservoir was rebuilt at a cost of $13 million and completed in 2006. The production of drinking water began in 2007. As of 2007, this facility will produce 2 million US gallons (7,600 m3) of water daily with a maximum capacity to produce 6 million US gallons (23,000 m3) daily.B.T. Brown reservoir is accessible to all Coweta County Residents with a few requirements. Obtaining a permit requires going to the Coweta County Water & Sewerage Authority located at 545 Corinth Road, Newnan, Georgia 30263.

Powell Chapel School is a historic school in Newnan, Georgia. It began as a school for black students at Powell Chapel Church. A one-room schoolhouse was built in 1937 and it was expanded with a second room in 1942. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 23, 2003. It is located at 620 Old Atlanta Highway.

Serenbe is a neighborhood within the city limits of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, United States. Serenbe is an example of New Urbanism. Steve Nygren, who had previously opened a Bed & Breakfast in the area, developed Serenbe. The name "Serenbe" was his wife Marie's idea, and refers to the location's serenity. The name is a portmanteau of "serenity" and "to be". Serenbe's residences consist of single-family houses and row houses. All have front porches but no backyards; they face a common greenspace and trails. Proximity to shops and services encourages walking. Architectural styles include Arts and Crafts-style cottages, loft-style townhouses and sleek modern "boxes". The village comprises three hamlets. The Selborne hamlet is devoted to the visual and culinary arts and currently contains Serenbe's retail shops. The Grange hamlet has an agricultural theme, and the Mado hamlet focuses on health and healing. In the 1990s, Steve and Marie Nygren visited an organic farm, and this is when they developed a vision to create an entirely sustainable community that was just outside of Atlanta. Part of their goal was to protect the wetlands and natural landscape of the Chattahoochee Hills area. The first residential home was sold in 2005, and there are now over 800 residents living at Serenbe. Serenbe is an example of an urban village, and 70% of its land is protected from development. Nygren was inspired by principles of New Urbanism and applied that to his town design, with walkability and shared green spaces and a variety of houses and buildings. The layout of Serenbe is designed to make efficient use of space, and it has 20% more housing per square mile than other suburbs. Serenbe has received criticism for being a bubble outside of Atlanta, with high-end goods and homes that on average cost more than a million dollars.

The Heritage School is a co-educational private school in Newnan, Georgia, United States. Established in 1970, from its founding, the Heritage School maintained an open admissions policy, although initially no black students applied nor were enrolled. The National Association of Independent Schools, which insisted on open-admissions policies for all its member schools, admitted the Heritage School to its membership in 1970. According to historian Love Williams, the school's Federal Tax exempt status granted in 1970 was entirely conditioned upon the school having a racially inclusive enrollment policy. The school is a member of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), and is accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). It received full re-accreditation in 2022.

Oak Hill Cemetery is a cemetery in Newnan, Coweta County, Georgia. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 27, 2012. It is located at 96 Jefferson Street in Newnan.

The Dog River is a 15.7-mile-long (25.3 km) river in Georgia. The river rises south of Villa Rica in Carroll County, flows east into Douglas County, then turns southeastward into Dog River Reservoir. The reservoir, completed in 1992, impounded 1.2 billion US gallons (4,500,000 m3) of water before the dam and water level were increased in 2009. The reservoir serves as a water source for Douglas County. After leaving the reservoir, the Dog River flows into the Chattahoochee River.

The Coweta County School District is the primary education system in Coweta County, Georgia, United States. Its headquarters are an antebellum building on Jackson Street (US 29) at Sprayberry Road in Newnan, Georgia. Coweta County is the 9th-fastest-growing county in Georgia and the 26th-fastest-growing in the country. The school system has grown from 9,210 students in 1984 to over 22,000 students in 2007.
