Sandyford, Staffordshire

Chatterley railway station is a former railway station in Staffordshire, England. Situated in the main North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) between Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield a station was opened in 1864 to serve the nearby town of Tunstall and was named Tunstall. In 1873 the NSR opened the Potteries Loop Line which went much closer to Tunstall town centre. A new station called Tunstall was built on the Potteries Loop Line and the existing station renamed Chatterley. For some years the station was referred to in timetables as Chatterley for Tunstall.The station closed in September 1948 and although the line between Stoke and Macclesfield still exists, the station site is no longer on the route as the line was diverted during the electrification of the West Coast Main Line as the Harecastle railway tunnels were not large enough to accommodate the overhead wires.

The Golden Torch, more commonly known as The Torch, was a nightclub in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Opened as a mod venue, it later became important to fans of Northern soul with their all-nighters. Peter Stringfellow was amongst the many DJs who at some time had a residency there while the main soul all-nighter DJs included Keith Minshull, Colin Curtis, Alan Day and Maretyn Ellis

Tunstall is one of the six towns that, along with Burslem, Longton, Fenton, Hanley and Stoke-upon-Trent, amalgamated to form the City of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England. It was one of the original six towns that federated to form the city. Tunstall is the most northern, and fourth largest town of the Potteries. It is situated in the very northwest of the city borough, with its north and west boundaries being the city limit. It stands on a ridge of land between Fowlea Brook to the west and Scotia Brook to the east, surrounded by old tile-making and brick-making sites, some of which date back to the Middle Ages.

Christ Church is an Anglican church in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. It is the parish church of Goldenhill and Tunstall; the combined parish, which is an Anglo-Catholic parish, was created in 2010. It is a Grade II listed building.

Pitts Hill is a small village in Stoke-on-Trent. The village was served by the Pitts Hill railway station from 1874 to 1964 which was on the Potteries Loop Line. The station is now a fishing lake.

Tunstall Town Hall is a municipal building in the High Street in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England. The structure, which was the meeting place of Tunstall Urban District Council, is a Grade II listed building.

Westport Lake is a lake and local nature reserve in Stoke-on-Trent, in Staffordshire, England, about 0.8 miles (1.3 km) south of Tunstall. It is alongside the Trent and Mersey Canal. It is owned by the Canal and River Trust, and is operated by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and Stoke-on-Trent City Council.There is a visitor centre, with a café and lakeside balcony. The centre has conference facilities. Staffordshire Wildlife Trust has two visitor centres; the other is the Wolseley Centre near Rugeley.The lake is the largest expanse of water in Stoke-on-Trent. There is a level footpath of about 1 mile (1.6 km) around the lake. There is waterfowl on the lake, and it is an overwintering site for many species.

Tunstall railway station was located on the Potteries Loop Line and served the town of Tunstall, Staffordshire. The station closed down along with the Potteries Loop Line in 1964. The station has been demolished and the site is now part of the Potteries Greenway, although the station master's house is still in existence, located on the A527 road.

Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent is a mixed secondary school located in the Tunstall area of Stoke-on-Trent in the English county of Staffordshire.Previously known as Brownhills High School, the school was awarded specialist status as a Maths and Computing College and was renamed Brownhills Maths and Computing College. In September 2010 the school converted to academy status and was renamed The Co-operative Academy of Stoke-on-Trent (later Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent). The school is now part of The Co-operative Academies Trust - a group of schools sponsored by The Co-operative Group. In September 2012 the school relocated to new buildings.

Goldenhill is an area on the northern edge of Stoke-on-Trent, in the Stoke-on-Trent district, in the ceremonial county of Staffordshire, England. It is centred along the High Street, part of the A50 road that runs from south-east to north-west. It is about 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Tunstall and 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south-east of Kidsgrove. Its altitude is 700 feet (210 m), the highest point in Stoke-on-Trent.

Longport is an area of Stoke-on-Trent, England. It is the location for Longbridge Hayes industrial estate. Port Vale F.C. played their home games at The Meadows in Limekiln Lane between 1876 and 1881.

The Harecastle railway tunnels are three consecutive tunnels on the North Staffordshire Railway at Kidsgrove, Staffordshire, England. Opened to traffic in 1848, two years after being authorised, the tunnels carried the North Staffordshire Railway line between Kidsgrove and Tunstall. The older Harecastle Canal Tunnels ran so close that vibrations from the trains allegedly affected their integrity. The Middle and South tunnels have been disused since the realignment of the railway in 1965 as their limited size made them unsuitable to install overhead electrification apparatus. In 2013 it was announced that the disused tunnels, which have continued to be maintained, would be sold to a public body.
