Medway station

Medway is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. The town had a population of 13,115 at the 2020 census.

The Medway Village Historic District encompasses a historic 19th century industrial village in southeastern Medway, Massachusetts. The village grew as a consequence of the textile industry that developed on the Charles River in the area beginning in the later years of the 18th century, and running through most of the 19th century. The district is an area covering 60 acres (24 ha) that includes more than 240 historically significant structures, most of which were built between 1831 and 1897.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Evergreen Cemetery is an active cemetery at Evergreen and Cottage Streets in Medway, Massachusetts. Founded in 1750, it is one of the community's oldest cemeteries, with burials including many of its early families, as well as veterans of the American Revolutionary War and American Civil War. It also houses the burial of Joseph Barbur Jr., a regionally prominent funerary stone carver. The cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

The Rabbit Hill Historic District is a historic district roughly bounded by Highland, Main, Franklin, and Milford Streets in Medway, Massachusetts. It encompasses about 40 acres (16 ha) and much of a 19th-century village that developed around the Second Congregation Church (now the West Medway Community Church), and industrial facilities that developed along the Charles River just outside the district. Most of the residential properties in the district are Federal or Greek Revival in character.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Prospect Hill Cemetery is a historic cemetery on Auburn Road in Millis, Massachusetts. Founded in 1714, it is the town's only cemetery. Covering more than 18 acres (7.3 ha), it has more than 2,800 burials. Among those buried in the cemetery are politician Christian Herter, who served as U.S. Secretary of State and Governor of Massachusetts, and two Medal of Honor recipients, Charles Church Roberts and William D. Newland. The cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006 with the help of a short documentary film by a Millis High School Freshman Dustin Fresh.

The Ellice School is a historic two-room schoolhouse at 185 Pleasant Street in Millis, Massachusetts. The single story wood frame Greek Revival building was constructed c. 1849, when Millis was still part of Medway. It is sheathed in wood shingles, with wood trim, including corner pilasters. Its gable roof is clad in asphalt shingles. The building served as a public school until 1931. It was used during the Great Depression and the Second World War for community activities, but has stood vacant since then. It is the only remaining district school building in Millis.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Millis High School is a public high school in Millis, Massachusetts, United States. The school building consists of both the middle school and high school (grades 6–12).

Millis was a railroad station in Millis, Massachusetts. It served the Millis Branch (formerly the West Medway Branch), and opened in 1886.

The Millis Center Historic District is an historic district on Curve, Daniels, Exchange, Irving, Lavender, Main, and Union Streets in Millis, Massachusetts. It encompasses the historic mid-to-late-19th century village center of the town, including the residential area north of Main Street, two 19th-century industrial complexes, and civic and institutional buildings. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Millis is a town in Norfolk County in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. It had a population of 8,460 at the 2020 census. The town is approximately 19 miles (31 km) southwest of downtown Boston and is bordered by Norfolk, Sherborn, Holliston, Medfield, and Medway. Massachusetts state routes 109 and 115 run through Millis.

Holliston is a New England town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States in the Greater Boston area. The population was 14,996 at the 2020 census. It is located in MetroWest, a Massachusetts region that is west of Boston. Holliston is the only town in Middlesex County that borders both Norfolk and Worcester counties.
