The arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier is an arrondissement of France in the Jura department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It has 248 communes. Its population is 104,178 (2021), and its area is 2,271.9 km2 (877.2 sq mi).

Lons-le-Saunier (French pronunciation: [lɔ̃s lə sonje] ; Arpitan: Lon-Tsânier) is a commune and capital of the Jura Department, eastern France.

Jura ( JOOR-ə, ZHOOR-ə; French: [ʒyʁa] ) is a department in the northeastern French region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The department takes its name from the Jura Mountains. The Siege of Lons-le-Saunier was a siege that took place from around 4 June to 2 July 1637 during the Ten Years' War, the Franche-Comté episode of the Thirty Years' War. It opposed the French troops of the Duke of Longueville to the Comtois regiment of Christophe de Raincourt and ended in a French victory.

The canton of Lons-le-Saunier-1 is an administrative division of the Jura department, eastern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Lons-le-Saunier. It consists of the following communes:

Parc des Bains is a park located in the region of Jura, in the Franche-Comté of eastern France. It was built under Camille Prost and was completed in 1904. In the late 19th century, Camille Prost wanted to create a spa in the city of Lons-le-Saunier, to showcase its salt water. The park, covering 7 hectares, was built to embellish the surrounding area and was designed by the French horticulturist and landscape architect H. Michel.
