Evangola State Park

Farnham is a village in the town of Brant, Erie County, New York, United States. The population of Farnham was 381 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village is named after Leroy Farnham, a local landowner and merchant.Farnham is located in the western part of the town of Brant, north of the Cattaraugus Reservation and southeast of Evangola State Park.

It was designed and built 1938–1939, and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Louis A. Simon. The building is in the Colonial Revival style. The interior features a cast-stone relief sculpture by Leopold Scholz executed in 1940 and titled A Pioneer Woman's Bravery.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Pioneer Cemetery, also known as Evans Center Cemetery, is a historic cemetery located at Evans Center in Erie County, New York. It consists of 10 to 11 rows of burials, with the oldest dating to 1810. The majority of the burials date between 1810 and 1860, with the most recent burial in 1928. Most are marked with simple tablet headstones. It features hilly terrain with a prominent rise at the center of the cemetery.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The Angola Horror train wreck occurred on December 18, 1867, just after 3 p.m. when the last coach of the Buffalo-bound New York Express of the Lake Shore Railway derailed at a bridge in Angola, New York, United States, slid down into a gorge and caught fire, killing approximately 49 people. At the time, it was one of the deadliest train wrecks in American history.
