Canton of Concarneau

Concarneau (Breton: Konk-Kerne, meaning "Bay of Cornouaille") is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in Northwestern France. Concarneau is bordered to the west by the Baie de La Forêt. The city has two distinct areas: the modern town on the mainland and the medieval Ville Close, a walled town on a long island in the centre of the harbour. Historically, the old town was a centre of shipbuilding; its ramparts date from the 14th century. The Ville Close is now devoted to tourism with many restaurants and shops aimed at tourists. However restraint has been shown in resisting the excesses of souvenir shops. Also in the Ville Close is the fishing museum. The Ville Close is connected to the town by a bridge and at the other end a ferry to the village of Lanriec on the other side of the harbour.

The Manoir de Stang-al-lin is a manor-house located in the Finistère département of Brittany in northwestern France. It is located in the small town of Concarneau, near Quimper. It was erected by Gustave Bonduelle in 1903.

The Baie de La Forêt is a small bay on the south coast of Brittany, France. The bay is located between Beg Meil (Fouesnant) and Cabellou (Concarneau).

The canton of Fouesnant is an administrative division of the Finistère department, northwestern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Fouesnant. It consists of the following communes:

Fouesnant (French pronunciation: [fwɛnɑ̃]; Fouenant or Fouen in Breton) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France. Fouesnant is bordered to the south by the Baie de La Forêt. It lies on the south coast of Finistère and is bordered by the communes of: Bénodet and Pleuven to the west, Saint-Évarzec to the north, and La Forêt-Fouesnant to the east. It has 15 km of coastline on its south side, with a long beach running west between the headlands of Beg-Meil and Mousterlin, as well as Cap-Coz just to the east at the top of the Baie de la Foret, making it a tourist destination. The town is in a very fertile area, is home to a number of orchards and is regarded as the source of the best Breton cider. This is celebrated each July with the Fete des Pommiers (Festival of the Apple Trees), an event that takes over the town centre with music, dance and various competitions. Fouesnant hosts a street market in and around the town square every Friday morning. The Glénan Islands, approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) offshore, are administratively part of the commune of Fouesnant.

Concarneau Cornouaille Agglomération is the communauté d'agglomération, an intercommunal structure, centred on the town of Concarneau. It is located in the Finistère department, in the Brittany region, northwestern France. Created in 2012, its seat is in Concarneau. Its area is 371.3 km2. Its population was 50,975 in 2019, of which 19,816 in Concarneau proper.

Notre-Dame de Kerbader (French: Chapelle Notre-Dame de Kerbader; Breton: Chapel Itron-Varia Kerbader) is a chapel in the commune of Fouesnant, Brittany in northwest France. The chapel is also known as "Our Lady of the Snows" (from the Breton Itron Varia an erc'h) or "Our Lady of Mercy" (Itron Varia an nec'h). It was built on the site of an earlier church, between the 17th and 18th centuries, to a cruciform floorplan. In 1792, during the Fouesnant uprising against the revolutionary government of the Legislative Assembly, a group of armed farmers gathered at the church. The group were defeated by the National Guard and its leader captured, tried and guillotined at Quimper in 1793. The building was renovated in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, with new stained glass windows unveiled in 2009. Next to the church stands a cross, Croix de Kernoac'h, which was renovated in 2004. Also nearby is a holy well, La fontaine de Kerbader, at which an annual pardon ceremony traditionally takes place during August.
