Loch Dubh (Loch Ard Forest)

Loch Chon is a freshwater loch situated west of the village of Aberfoyle, near the small village of Kinlochard, Stirling, Scotland, UK. Loch Chon lies upstream of Loch Ard and to the south of Loch Katrine. In the past, Loch Chon was known as Loch-a-Choin - loch of the dog/dogs. Choin is the Scots Gaelic word for dog in its genitive case (coin), lenited because loch is a masculine noun, causing an 'h' to be placed after the 'c'.It releases its water into the 4.5-kilometre (2.8 mi) long Water of Chon, which not far from the outlet passes Loch Dhu, and is the main affluent of Loch Ard. Loch Chon itself is fed by several small streams which can be considered to be the true sources of the River Forth.There are three islands in the loch. Two are unnamed, including the largest, which is roughly 315 feet/96 metres long. The medium sized island is called Heron Island and is roughly 230 feet/70 metres long.

Kinlochard is a village in Stirling, Scotland. It lies to the western end of Loch Ard. Children in Kinlochard attend Aberfoyle Primary School and eventually McLaren High School.There is a recently renovated village hall, opened in April 2011, and is used as a venue for weddings and parties as well as being used by schools and cubs. The village hosts an annual Highland Games in mid July on the field opposite the village hall featuring many traditional events with a focus on family and community.

Rowardennan (Gaelic: Rubha Aird Eònain) is a small rural community on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond in Stirling council, Scotland. It is mainly known as the starting point for the main path up Ben Lomond.Rowardennan is at the northern end of the public road, but the West Highland Way, a long-distance footpath between Glasgow and Fort William, passes through the area and continues north along the side of the loch. Rowardennan has a hotel, hostel, chalet accommodation, caravan site, and camping for hikers on the West Highland Way. A small passenger ferry crosses the loch to Tarbet on the opposite shore. During the summer months, Rowardennan can be reached by ferry from Tarbet, Luss, or Inverbeg, on the opposite shore of the Loch Lomond.It appears as "Dennan's Row" in Walter Scott's poem The Lady of the Lake.

Loch Katrine (; Scottish Gaelic: Loch Ceiteirein [l̪ˠɔx ˈkʲʰeʰtʲɪɾʲɛɲ] or Loch Ceathairne) is a freshwater loch in the Trossachs area of the Scottish Highlands, east of Loch Lomond, within the historic county and registration county of Perthshire and the contemporary district of Stirling. The loch is about 8 miles (13 km) long and 1 mile (1.6 km) wide at its widest point, and runs the length of Strath Gartney (Gaelic: Srath Ghartain). It is within the drainage basins of the River Teith and River Forth. It is a popular scenic attraction for tourists and day-visitors from Glasgow and nearby towns; fly and boat fishing for trout are permitted on the loch from spring to autumn. It also serves as a reservoir for the water supply of the Glasgow conurbation, some 30 miles (48 km) south, being connected by two aqueducts constructed in 1859. It is the fictional setting of Sir Walter Scott's poem The Lady of the Lake and of the subsequent opera by Gioachino Rossini, La donna del lago.

Eilean nan Deargannan (sometimes written as Eilean Deargannan) is a small island in Loch Lomond, in west central Scotland. It lies between Rowardennan (to the east) and Inverbeg.

The Ross Isles are two small islands in Loch Lomond, in west central Scotland. They lie opposite Luss, and are named after the promontory on the east shore (ros meaning the same in Scottish Gaelic), where Ross Priory is located. The Pilot sank off here in 1850. The islands have some vegetation but are mostly uninhabitable, with the smaller island having no suitable landing location for boats to approach. The larger island to the east has a small gravel beach on the north east side, which provides a landing for small boats

Inchlonaig is an island in Loch Lomond in Scotland.

Milarrochy Bay is a bay on Loch Lomond, in southern Scotland. It is near the village of Balmaha. Known locally as Bakey Bay, due to the rounded mounds regularly on display. There are a few houses near the bay. Other bays on the east of Loch Lomond include Cashel Bay and Sallochy Bay. The bay has a visitor centre, where you can pick up leaflets about Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and the surrounding area. There is also a camping and caravanning club site. The bay is popular with hikers on the West Highland Way, and photographers, who come to capture the famous Milarrochy Bay "lone tree"

Loch Ard (Scottish Gaelic: Loch na h-Àirde) is a loch, located in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Stirling council area, Scotland.

Ceardach is a small uninhabited island in Loch Lomond, in west central Scotland. The island lies east of Bucinch and north of Inchcruin. The name Ceardach means a smithy.

Bucinch or Buc-Innis (Scottish Gaelic: "Buck Island" or "Male Goat Island") is a small island in Loch Lomond, in west central Scotland. The heavily wooded island lies due north of Inchcruin and rises steeply from a rocky coastline to 24 metres (79 feet) in a central summit.Along with smaller neighbour, Ceardach, Bucinch was donated to the National Trust for Scotland by Col Charles L Spencer of Warmanbie, Dumfries, in 1943. Although uninhabited for centuries, there are remains of a stone jetty.

Inverbeg is a settlement in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Its Ordnance Survey grid reference is NS3497.It is on the western shore of Loch Lomond. There has at times been a pedestrian ferry to Rowardennan on the opposite side of the loch. It is at the foot of Glen Douglas.
