Gading Serpong

Sekolah Menengah Atas Kristen PENABUR Gading Serpong, often shortened to SMAK PENABUR Gading Serpong (or AGS), is a Christian private high school located in Gading Serpong, Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. It is organized by the BPK PENABUR Jakarta Foundation. The school provides tenth to twelfth grade programs as implemented nationally in Indonesia. The school has two programs, one being the regular senior high school program and the other the Brilliant Class program for academically gifted children. This school used to be known as SMAK 6 PENABUR but the name was changed because its location is outside Jakarta. The school is located within the same complex as SMPK Penabur Gading Serpong, SDK Penabur Gading Serpong, and TKK Penabur Gading Serpong.

Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (Indonesian: Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, abbreviated as UMN) is a private university located in Gading Serpong, Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. The university was founded by Kompas Gramedia Group on 25 November 2005 and officially launched in a ceremony at the Hotel Santika, Jakarta on 20 November 2006.

Surya University is an Indonesian private university that was founded in 2013 by the educational leader and physicist Prof. Yohanes Surya, Ph.D. Temporary campus was built in the area Scientia Garden, Gading Serpong, Tangerang - Banten. The university was officially established by the Minister of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia 07/E/O/2013 issued on January 10, 2013. The University has 3 faculties and 10 departments.

Pelita Harapan University (Indonesian: Universitas Pelita Harapan, UPH) is a private Evangelical coeducational higher education institution run by the Pelita Harapan Education Foundation (Indonesian: Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan) in Lippo Village, Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. It was founded in 1993. UPH was the first university in Indonesia to introduce programs entirely taught in English, the first to offer a liberal arts curriculum, and the first to introduce a multi-disciplinary approach to its programs.

The Lippo Village International Formula Circuit is a defunct street circuit in Lippo Village Tangerang, Indonesia. The track was confirmed to host a round of the 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix season, set for the weekend of February 8, 2009. On August 29, 2008, further details regarding the track were announced. Designed by Hermann Tilke, the track would be made by modifying parts of the village near the Pelita Harapan University and includes the Supermal. It is located at the centre of Lippo Village's hub. Tilke attempted to keep disruption minimal to the village during the races with ensuring that track's maximum speed to be more than 308 km/h with the average speed of 176 km/h. Part of the university's planned extension buildings would be utilized to double the pit lane capacity during the A1GP races. The track would be showcasing Lippo Village and the surrounding businesses.However, the event was cancelled because the local promoter and organisers, who are responsible to the project of track construction, have failed to meet the requisite completion deadlines and the track is not yet able to homologate by the FIA before 6–8 February 2009. The track was used for some local racing events during the early-2010s, but has since fallen out of use and defunct as of 2012. The pits and the track sign remained until 2016, and most portions of the track currently accommodates the parking lot for Pelita Harapan University. As of 2016, the track's layout remained intact, but most of the track's features had been removed, including the pit lane border and starting lights; the pit lane itself is now demolished and other parts of the track has undergone several modifications to accommodate an additional parking area for MaxxBox Mall, another shopping mall across Supermal Karawaci. There are now large trees covering the empty area surrounding one portion of the track, including the one near a mosque. The paddock building has been renovated and currently utilized as an extension of the university, which houses additional classrooms and a computer laboratory. The defunct track is now superseded by BSD City Grand Prix, a street circuit built on Bumi Serpong Damai, Tangerang.

Indomilk Arena (formerly Benteng Taruna Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency, Banten, Indonesia. It is used as the home venue for Persita Tangerang of Liga Indonesia. The stadium is designed for a capacity of 30,000. The construction started in 2014 and finished in 2018. The stadium is the main arena of Tangerang Kelapa Dua Sport Center, which consists of this stadium, a sport center/gymnasium, a wall for climbing, a softball and baseball field.

Swiss German University (SGU) is a privately sponsored university and located at Alam Sutera, a community in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. Swiss German University was established in the year 2000 as a joint effort between private investors from Germany and Indonesia. Nowadays, it is run by an Indonesian businessman. Swiss German University (SGU) is known for its double degree program. SGU partners with several universities in Germany and Switzerland. SGU also requires its students to do an internship twice during their studies, one in Indonesia and one in Germany as part of the requirements for containing the double degree.

The Tangerang prison fire was a fire that occurred in an overcrowded prison block in the city of Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia, in Greater Jakarta. The fire began at about 01:45 WIB on 8 September 2021 (18:45 UTC, 7 September) in sector C of the Tangerang prison, killing 41 inmates and injuring a further 75. More victims succumbed to their injuries on the following days, raising the death toll to a total of 49 people.

Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) is a convention and exhibition centre located at BSD City, Pagedangan, Tangerang Regency, Banten, Indonesia. The convention and exhibition center was inaugurated on 4 August 2015. It is the biggest convention and exhibition center in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.It has total land area of approximately 220,000 sqm, 10 exhibition halls with a total area of 50,000 sqm, 50,000 sqm outdoor exhibition space, 33 meeting rooms, one 4,000 sqm convention hall and one 12,000 sqm pre-function lobby. The halls are equipped to accommodate exhibitions, trade shows, conferences and other events. A four star hotel is located within the ICE complex to facilitate for accommodation for those joining different events at the venue.

Comic Frontier, also widely known as Comifuro (abbreviated as CF), is a dōjinshi convention held annually in BSD City, Indonesia. It has a wide range of activities and participants, from the dōjin marketplace, cosplay show, corporate booth, music performance, and talkshow discussing creative industries (particularly comic and animation) in Indonesia. The convention has been influenced in design and spirit by the Japanese Comiket convention.

Alam Sutera is a mixed township at South Tangerang City and Tangerang City of Banten province in Indonesia. It is located south-west of capital Jakarta and within Jabodetabek metro area. The township has a land area of about 800 hectares. Most of the area are located in North Serpong, South Tangerang City, while some area, especially the CBD, are in Pinang sub-district, Tangerang City. It is generally suited for upper middle income household along with many other satellite cities in the province.

BSD City, formerly referred to Bumi Serpong Damai is a planned community located within Greater Jakarta in Indonesia. The project was initiated in 1984 by a group of private developers and started in 1989. The town is currently managed by the holding company PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk, which is owned by Sinar Mas Land, a subsidiary of the Sinar Mas Group, a large industrial conglomerate in Indonesia. BSD City encompasses a total area of approximately 6,000 hectares, hosting a range of residential houses, apartments, malls, offices, and more. Most of the residential areas are designed to be suitable for Indonesia's upper-middle class, in gated neighbourhoods, each with different themes. The city is now a self-sustaining community, with businesses, schools, shopping malls, hospitals and hotels.
