USS Miantonomah (CM-10/CMc-5) was built as SS Quaker by Pusey & Jones Corporation, Wilmington, Delaware in 1938 as a commercial coastwise ship operating as a fast inland water passenger and freight carrier. Quaker was acquired by the Navy in May 1941 for conversion to a coastal minelayer. Miantonomah operated off the east coast of the United States, Africa and the Mediterranean and took part in the invasion of Europe in 1944. The ship was sunk by a mine 25 September 1944.

The Le Havre raid was a two-day naval bombardment of the French port of Le Havre early in July 1759 by a Royal Navy fleet under Rear-Admiral of the Blue George Rodney during the Seven Years' War, which succeeded in its aim of destroying many of the invasion barges being gathered there for the planned French invasion of Britain.

The river Lézarde is one of the rivers that flow from the plateau of the southern Pays de Caux in the Seine-Maritime département of Normandy into the Seine. The river rises at Saint-Martin-du-Bec and passes Notre-Dame-du-Bec, Rolleville, Épouville, Montivilliers and joins the Seine at Harfleur. It is 14.2 km (8.8 mi) long.

The Pont de Normandie (English: Normandy Bridge) is a cable-stayed road bridge that spans the river Seine linking Le Havre to Honfleur in Normandy, northern France. Its total length is 2,143.21 metres (7,032 ft) – 856 metres (2,808 ft) between the two piers. It is also the last bridge to cross the Seine before it empties into the ocean. It is a motorway toll bridge with a footpath and a narrow cycle lane in each direction allowing pedestrians and cyclists to cross the bridge free of charge, while motorcycling is also toll-free.

Harfleur (pronounced [aʁflœʁ]) is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region of northern France. It was the principal seaport in north-western France for six centuries, until Le Havre was built about five kilometres (three miles) downstream in the sixteenth century to take advantage of anchorages less prone to siltation. Harfleur is now on the eastern edge of Le Havre's urban area.

The Château d'Orcher is a castle in the commune of Gonfreville-l'Orcher in the Seine-Maritime département of France. Built to protect the mouth of the River Seine, it includes an imposing square crenellated tower. In the 18th century it was transformed into a residence.

The Stade Océane (French pronunciation: [stad ɔsean]; or Grand Stade du Havre and Stade CMA CGM Océane for sponsorship reasons), is a multi-purpose stadium with 25,178 seated places for sports events and 33,000 for shows, located in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime), France. Mainly used for football, but also equipped with a performance space for artistic events, it hosts the matches of Le Havre AC, a club currently competing in Ligue 1. It was built on the site of the former Soquence rail yard, which the Le Havre urban community (CODAH) purchased from Réseau Ferré de France in 2008. The site is located on the opposite side of the city from Stade Jules-Deschaseaux. The total cost of the Grand Stade du Havre project amounted to €80 million. It was inaugurated on 12 July 2012, becoming the largest stadium in Normandy with 25,178 seats.

Stade Jules Deschaseaux (French pronunciation: [stad ʒyl deʃazo]) is a multi-purpose stadium in Le Havre, France. It has been used mostly for football matches for most of its existence as the former home of Le Havre AC. The stadium is able to hold 16,400 people and was built in 1932. It hosted one match at the 1938 FIFA World Cup between Czechoslovakia and the Netherlands. In 2012, it was replaced by the newly constructed Stade Océane. The ground is now used by the rugby section of Havre Athlétique Club.

Gonfreville-l'Orcher (French pronunciation: [ɡɔ̃fʁəvil lɔʁʃe]) is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France.

The Canton of Gonfreville-l'Orcher is a former canton situated in the Seine-Maritime département and in the Haute-Normandie region of northern France. It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. It had a total of 20,031 inhabitants (2012).

Le Havre-Graville is a former station in the Graville-Sainte-Honorine quarter of the city of Le Havre. It is situated on the Paris–Le Havre railway and the Lézarde Express Régionale line to Rolleville. It was served by local trains from Le Havre to Montivilliers and Rolleville until 2024.
