Case Brothers Historic District

The Pitkin Glassworks Ruin is a historic industrial archaeological site at the junction of Parker and Putnam Streets in Manchester, Connecticut. It contains the remains of one of the oldest glass factories in New England, established in 1783. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Shady Glen, officially Shady Glen Dairy Stores, is a restaurant in Manchester, Connecticut. John and Bernice Rieg opened the first Shady Glen store near the Manchester/Bolton town line in 1948 and a second store in the Manchester Parkade shopping center in 1965. The second location closed in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.Shady Glen is locally famous for its homemade-style ice cream, signature Bernice Original "winged" cheeseburger, and vintage 1950s style diner and service. In 2012, it was recognized by the James Beard Foundation as an "American Classic".

The Woodbridge Farmstead is a historic house at 495 Middle Turnpike East in Manchester, Connecticut. Built about 1835, it is a well-preserved example of a Greek Revival farmhouse, with a history of ownership by a single family extending over more than 150 years. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Lutz Children's Museum is a non-profit children's museum located in Manchester, Connecticut, United States. Originally known as the Lutz Junior Museum, it was developed on March 4, 1953 by a vote of the Manchester Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Council. Their objective was to "provide supplemental enrichment to students in their classrooms and ask the community to come forth with ideas."

The Cheney Brothers Historic District was a center of the silk industry in Manchester, Connecticut, in the late 19th and early 20th century. The 175-acre (71 ha) district includes over 275 mill buildings, workers houses, churches, schools and Cheney family mansions. These structures represent the well-preserved company town of the Cheney Brothers silk manufacturing company, the first America-based silk company to properly raise and process silkworms, and to develop the difficult techniques of spinning and weaving silk. The area was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1978.

The Blackledge River is a tributary of the Salmon River which courses 16.4 miles (26.4 km) through eastern Connecticut in the United States. Rising from Sperry Pond in Bolton, the Blackledge amasses waters from feeder creeks along its course before joining the Jeremy River in Colchester, Connecticut. Salmon River, considered a major tributary of the Connecticut River, begins at the confluence of the Blackledge and Jeremy.A popular whitewater paddling route begins at West Road about 4 miles (6 km) south of Gay City State Park. There are frequent Class I-II whitewater rapids throughout the route to the Salmon River.

Located west of the town's Main Street area, the district includes most of the Cheney Brothers Historic District, a National Historic Landmark District covering the silk manufacturing mills, worker housing, and owner residences of the Cheney family, as well as other surrounding residential areas related to the growth and development of Manchester under the Cheney's influence. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Manchester Memorial Hospital is a 249-bed community hospital located in central Manchester, Connecticut, an eastern Connecticut community about 10 minutes east of Hartford. The hospital opened in 1920, and was dedicated as a memorial to all Manchester residents who died during the First World War. In 1970, the hospital was rededicated as a memorial to veterans of all wars. The hospital operates a family medicine residency training program for newly graduated osteopathic physicians.

Bolton Notch State Park is a public Protected recreation area located in the town of Bolton, Connecticut, on the boundary between the Thames River and Connecticut River watersheds. The state park's 95 acres (38 ha) offer opportunities for hiking, climbing, and cave exploration. Bolton Notch is located at the junction of U.S. Route 44 and U.S. Route 6 in Bolton, CT.
