East Side School (Thomasville, Georgia)

MacIntyre Park and MacIntyre Park High School is a historic district in Thomasville, Georgia which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. It included four contributing buildings, one contributing structure and two contributing sites. It consists of a 25.6 acres (10.4 ha) property including the MacIntyre Park High School and a 10 acres (4.0 ha) MacIntyre Park.The high school's original building, built during 1925–26, is Classical Revival in style and was designed by architect A. Ten Eyke Brown or A. Ten Eyck Brown Its south building, built in 1930, was designed by Lockwood & Poundstone. It is now a middle school.

The Tockwotton-Love Place Historic District in Thomasville, Georgia is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The district then included 80 contributing buildings with relatively few intrusions or non-historic buildings. It includes two residential neighborhoods bisected by Remington Avenue: Love Place to the north and Tockwotton to the south.Among its historic properties are: 331 Remington St. is striking with a two-story portico having a second floor porch, intersected by a first-floor full-length porch (see #11 in accompanying photos). "The Paxton", a historic house hotel, at 445 Remington Avenue, at the corner of South Hansell St. The antebellum Augustine Hansell House, at 429 South Hansell Street, is separately listed on the National Register.

Thomasville High School is a public secondary school located in Thomasville, Georgia, United States. It is one of only a handful of city school systems left in the state of Georgia. It is considered by the Georgia High School Association to be an AA school system.

The Joe M. Beutell House in Thomasville, Georgia was built in 1930. It is notable for its Tudor Revival architecture and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.It was built by and for contractor Joe M. Beutell and was designed by architect Russell L. Beutell (1891-1943).It was later the home of Judge Reason C. Bell while he was chief justice of the Georgia Supreme Court.

The Judge Henry William and Francesca Hopkins House in Thomasville, Georgia is located two blocks east of Broad Street, the main commercial street in Thomasville. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. It was home of Henry William Hopkins (1850-1945) and his wife Francesca (Fannie) Carara Seward (1852-1923).

The Augustine Hansell House, also known as Jeffries House, is a historic home of exceptional quality in Thomasville, Georgia, United States. It was designed by architect John Wind, the leading architect of Thomas County, in Greek Revival style. A 1+1⁄2-story cottage, it was built during 1852–53 for Augustine Hansell. Hansell, who later (1869) was mayor of Thomasville, was a judge of the Superior Court of the Southern Judicial Circuit. He also organized the Thomas Reserves and was commander of a militia company of Thomas County. He was a lieutenant in the Thomas Reserves.The American Civil War did not bring fighting to Thomas County, with the closest battle being the Battle of Natural Bridge in Natural Bridge, Florida, 56 miles (90 km) away from Thomasville.The house is a 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame cottage, with the main house having four rooms in a center-hall plan. It has an overhanging portico supported by six square columns. It has two small windows centered in the gable front.Its interior is little-altered from the original and has Greek Revival details in its doorways, stairway, and four fireplaces with carved mantels.The addition of wings for a kitchen and a bedroom in 1927 did not detract from the architectural character of the house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.Up to 1969 the house had remained in the same family and was then owned by a granddaughter of Augustine Hansell. It has been described as one of the "three best cottages" in Thomasville.

The Dawson Street Residential Historic District, in Thomasville, Georgia, is a 200-acre (0.81 km2) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It then included 380 contributing buildings and three contributing sites. It is located to the north of the city's commercial center and its courthouse square. As well as houses, the district includes several churches, two historic cemeteries (one for whites and one for blacks), a historic city park, and pecan orchards associated with some of the houses.It includes two properties already separately-listed on the National Register: Hardy Bryan House (or Carter House), 312 North Broad Street, a Greek Revival house built by a carpenter/builder which is believed to be one of the earliest surviving houses in Thomasville; Lapham-Patterson House (1885), 626 North Dawson Street, a National Historic Landmark.Also notable in the district are: several rare examples of single pen houses on Broad Street and Lutten Lane Hardeway House (1856), 526 North Dawson Street) designed by builder/architect John Wind 312 North Dawson Street (1905), a "concrete stone" structure built as the administration building for Young's Female Academy.

The Big Oak is a large live oak (Quercus virginiana) located in Thomasville, Georgia, in the United States at the corner of Crawford Street and Monroe Street. The Big Oak is one of many historic landmarks located in Thomasville. The Big Oak was one of the earliest trees registered with the Live Oak Society. Registered by P.C. Andrews in 1936, the Big Oak was the forty-ninth live oak registered. At the time of registration, the Big Oak's girth was 21 feet 6 inches.

The Glenwood Historic District in Thomasville, Georgia is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. The Joe M. Beutell House is in the historic district and is separately listed. The area designated is approximately the area bounded by Euclid Avenue on the east, East Jackson Street on the south, Glenwood Drive on the west, and Clay Street on the north. It was developed as Glenwood subdivision in 1925, by the developer and realtor J. B. Jemison. It was deemed significant in part "for its design by I. O. Freeman of Atlanta, a civil engineer who promoted a 'system of winding driveways and dignified home sites' with native vegetation and landscape features that are still apparent today."

The Hardy Bryan House, also known as Cater House, in Thomasville, Georgia, was built in c.1833. It is a well-preserved example of an antebellum plantation house. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. It is also a contributing building in the National Register-listed Dawson Street Residential Historic District. It is a two-and-a-half-story Plantation Style house with a two-story portico supported by four square columns. As of 1970, all of its windows were 16 over 16, many with their original glass.

The Burch-Mitchell House, also known as Munro House or as Mitchell House, located in Thomasville, Georgia, was built in 1848. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.It was built by Robert Sims Burch using slave labor in 1856, built upon a c.1848 foundation. Its NRHP nomination describes it as "excellent" and as one of the finest cottages in Thomasville. It is a one-and-a-half-story building with a front gable second floor overhanging a front porch, supported by six square pillars. Its original detached kitchen and dining room were destroyed by a fire in 1888 and replacements were added to the main house. The house was originally set far back from the road, down a magnolia-lined lane, but it was moved forward to its existing location. The kitchen and dining room portion is now used as a house on an adjacent lot. The property was bought by the Mitchell family after the American Civil War and remained in that family for more than 90 years, until purchased by the Rev. and Mrs. B.G. Munro.The first floor front of the house has four double-hung windows and a Greek Revival-style doorway with sidelights, transom, fluted pilasters, and paneled door. The pediment above has two windows off an unfinished attic space. The interior, as of 1969, had almost all of its original Greek Revival style woodwork, which was of high quality.

Flowers' Warehouse Segment is responsible for the national distribution of frozen snack cakes, bread, and rolls that are sold directly to the customer's warehouses. Flowers owns the brands Mrs. Freshley's and European Bakers. Mrs. Freshley's produces snack cakes, which are available nationally to retail and vending customers through this segment. The European Bakers brand of frozen specialty bread and rolls are available nationally to retail in-store bakeries and foodservice customers.
