Rosedale, Auckland

Rosedale Park, is a reserve and sports ground in the suburb of Rosedale in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the home ground of NRFL Division 2 side Albany United, North Harbour Softball and North Harbour Hockey.Rosedale park also has a playground, fitness equipment, picnic tables, and a 9-hole frisbee golf course.

Pinehurst School is a private education institute located in Auckland, New Zealand with a roll of approximately 1100 students. The institute was established on 3 March 1991, The school is relatively new compared to the other private schools in the region of Albany, though has matured greatly over the past 30 years. 2021 was the 30th anniversary of the school. The school is well known for its students' success in IGCSE examination syndicate and was granted the University of Cambridge fellowship in 2007 for their outstanding results in these examinations. Also in the year 2007, the leader of the National party John Key opened the new arts and drama facility. In 2015 the school proposed a new college block and a new multi-sports area to replace existing tennis courts. A new library block was completed in November 2019, and was official opened on 10 February 2020, by Erica Stanford, MP of East Coast Bays. A new block named College 5 is planned to replace the village area. It is planned to contain a music theatre, seating 250, and new classrooms.

North Harbour is a suburb on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. It is located 12 kilometres north of the city centre, to the south of the suburb of Albany. The suburb has not been officially designated as a suburb by Auckland Council, the territorial authority. The place name holds no official status with the New Zealand Geographic Board, nor is it used by New Zealand Post. North Harbour is, however, a statistical area used in Statistics New Zealand datasets and North Harbour East and North Harbour West are area units. The general area that embodies what is referred to as the suburb of North Harbour is made up of parts of Albany, Rosedale, Schanpper Rock and Pinehill. The business and light industrial area of Rosedale was given the name North Harbour Industrial Estate when construction commenced on it in the 1990s. The former North Shore City Council the changed the name of this area back to Rosedale in 2009, as a result of a broader review of suburb names and boundaries in the North Shore. This area is sometimes referred to by the former name. Business North Harbour, the association responsible for the area's business improvement district, retains the place name of North Harbour in their name. Business North Harbour was unhappy with the name change to Rosedale, describing the name as a "stinker" due to the association with the Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant and former landfill located in the suburb. Some businesses in Rosedale use North Harbour in their names and as the suburb in their addresses. The name "North Harbour" also has a more general usage referring to all those parts of the Auckland conurbation sited to the north of the Waitemata Harbour, which includes the entirety of the former North Shore City (including Hibiscus Coast), plus parts of the former Waitakere City. The name thus applied finds its most common usage when referring to the North Harbour Rugby Union, which plays in the ITM Cup, or North Harbour Stadium in Albany, the home ground of the rugby union.

Vanguard Military School is a co-educational school located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. Serving years 11 to 13, the school was one of five new government partnership (charter) schools being implemented across New Zealand in 2014. It transitioned into a state designated character school in 2019.

Unsworth Heights is a suburb of North Shore in the Auckland metropolitan area in northern New Zealand. New Zealand State Highway 18 (Upper Harbour Highway) passes to the north of the suburb, and the Albany Highway to the south. The two routes intersect just to the west of Unsworth Heights. Unsworth Reserve is to the east.

Pinehill is a small suburb in the East Coast Bays area of Auckland, New Zealand. Pinehill contains two shopping centres, one along East Coast Road and the other along Greville Road. The suburb has only recently grown because of the housing estates being built in the area for the rapidly growing Albany area. Pinehill is regularly serviced by buses which go to Takapuna and the Auckland city centre. The Auckland Northern Motorway passes to the west of the suburb.

Albany Lakes Civic Park is a public park located in Albany, New Zealand, a suburb of Auckland. It is adjacent to the Westfield Albany shopping mall, in the centre of a new commercial/town centre area that is being developed. The park comprises two artificial lakes that serve both as landscape features and stormwater ponds. The lakes were created in the late 2000s, though the park took somewhat longer to finish, and much of the new vegetation is still in the process of growing in as of 2010.Providing an assembly/grassland area allowing up to 10,000 people to the north of the lakes, the park was designated as one of the 'fan zones' for the Rugby World Cup 2011.

Kristin School is a private co-educational composite school located in Albany, North Shore, New Zealand. Kristin is an IB World School with approximately 1661 students.The school was established in 1973 by a small group of parents, and is owned by the Kristin School Charitable Trust (non-profit making – fees are used to pay expenses and facilities) and is governed by trustees and governors appointed from both the school and the wider community. Kristin contains a Kindergarten as well as an Early Learning Centre known as Little Doves and is divided into three separate schools – Junior (years 0–6), Middle (years 7–10), and Senior (years 11–13). Reflecting contemporary managerialism, each school has its own principal and an executive principal has overall responsibility to the Board of Governors.

North Harbour Stadium is a stadium situated in Albany, in North Shore City, New Zealand. It was opened in 1997, after nearly a decade of discussion, planning and construction. Rugby union, association football, rugby league, and baseball are all played on the main ground. The neighbouring oval plays host to the senior cricket and Australian rules football matches. The stadium also hosts large open-air concerts.

Albany Senior High School is a state coeducational senior secondary school situated in North Harbour, Auckland, New Zealand. Opened in February 2009, it was New Zealand's first state senior secondary school, catering for students in Years 11 to 13 (ages 14 to 18) only; most New Zealand secondary schools traditionally cater for Years 9 to 13. As of February 2023, the school has a roll of 477 students.
