Llandough Platform railway station

Llandough (Welsh: Llandochau Fach – Llan church and Dochau Saint Dochau/Dochdwy) is a village, community and electoral ward in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. It elects a community council.

The A4055 is the main road link between Cardiff Bay and Barry. The road goes through the village of Dinas Powys and there has been a call for by-pass due to the volume of traffic from Barry to and from Cardiff. However the Vale of Glamorgan Council confirmed in June 2007 that the by-pass would have to be funded by the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG).The road was extended in 1988 from the junction of the A4160 to the Ferry Road Interchange of the A4232, this is called the Cogan Spur and as such it is also a spur road off the A4232.

Grangemoor Park is a public park located between the River Ely and Cardiff Bay Retail Park in the Grangetown area of Cardiff, Wales. Prior to development of the park the area was a landfill site for household waste, which closed in 1994. The park now rises 20 metres (66 ft) above the river and surrounding area with panoramic views over the south of the city.

Cogan railway station is a railway station serving Cogan in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. It is on the Vale of Glamorgan Line 2+3⁄4 miles (4.4 km) south of Cardiff Central on the way to Barry Island and Bridgend. Passenger services are operated by Transport for Wales as part of the Valley Lines network.

Pont y Werin (Welsh for The People's Bridge) is a pedestrian and cyclist bridge spanning the River Ely between Cardiff Bay and Penarth, Wales. Costing approximately £4.5 million, Pont y Werin crosses between the Cardiff International Sports Village and Penarth, allowing the public to travel to the Sports Village via Cogan railway station.Opened on 14 July 2010, the bascule bridge completes the 6.5 mile (10.5 km) Cardiff Bay circular walk and cycle route, and incorporates a 20-metre opening section to allow river traffic to pass.

Cogan is a suburb of Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales 4.5 miles (7.2 km) south west from the Welsh capital city of Cardiff. Cogan contains one of the vale's four major leisure centres.

Bayscape is a planned skyscraper development in Cardiff Bay, Wales. Originally planned to be completed in 2013, the development underwent a redesign that was approved on 13 June 2013.

Cardiff International Sports Village (Welsh: Pentref Chwaraeon Rhyngwladol Caerdydd) is located in Cardiff Bay in the city of Cardiff, Wales. It is one of the largest regeneration projects currently in the UK and is a public-private funded project. The site currently has a 50-metre (164 ft) Olympic standard swimming pool, an ice rink and a white water canoeing and kayaking centre. Upon completion, an indoor snow centre with real snow for skiing and snowboarding, and a hotel were also planned. Other proposals included a 220-metre (722 ft) observation tower and a super-casino, although both these schemes are unlikely to ever be realised. The sporting facilities were used as a training venue for the London 2012 Olympics along with the Millennium Stadium, which hosted some of the football. In 2019, Cardiff Council approved a new ten year masterplan for the International Sports Village site with plans for around 1,000 new apartments, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities.

The A4160 is a road between Cardiff and Penarth in Wales. Its role as the main road between Cardiff city centre and Penarth has largely been superseded by the A4055 and A4232 roads via Cardiff Bay. The route begins at Fitzalan Place on the junction at Newport Road (A4161) and West Grove. It heads south along Fitzalan Place and then westerly along Adam Street and Bute Terrace and for a short stretch south along Bute Street before entering Callaghan Square and joining Penarth Road, continuing in a southwesterly direction. It crosses through the Penarth Road commercial district then crosses the River Ely and passes under the A4232 road, after which it turns to a south easterly direction. It ends in the town centre of Penarth.

Cardiff Bay Retail Park (Welsh: Parc Manwerthu Bae Caerdydd) is a retail park in Grangetown, Cardiff. Built in 1997 on the former Ferry Road landfill site. It is currently home to businesses including; Asda, Boots and Argos.

University Hospital Llandough (Welsh: Ysbyty Llandochau Prifysgol) is a district general hospital in Llandough, Penarth, Wales. It is managed by the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
