Nancledra or Nancledrea is a village in west Cornwall, England, UK. It is three miles (5 km) south of St Ives and four miles (6.5 km) north-northeast of Penzance. Nancledra is a small village with a population of around 150. The village is in Towednack civil parish in the former mining area of Penwith peninsula. A pub, The Engine Inn, is situated at Cripplesease just outside the village, but Nancledra has no village shop or Post Office. Nancledra School is situated one mile north of the village on the lane to Towednack at grid reference SW 492 367.The name of the village probably means valley of Clodri or valley of Cludri.Robert Morton Nance, one of the chief revivers of the Cornish language, lived in Nancledra. The local community radio station is Coast FM (formerly Penwith Radio), which broadcasts on 96.5 and 97.2 FM.

Baker's Pit Nature Reserve

Baker's Pit Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in the parish of Ludgvan, west Cornwall managed by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust (CWT). The reserve is on the moorland of Noon Diggery and is south of the Castle-an-Dinas hillfort and Roger's Tower, a folly built within the hillfort. Within the reserve is a distinctively shaped enclosure with a funnel-like entrance resembling a banjo enclosure, which is an Iron Age ritual site found mostly in Wessex and south-east England and the only known one in Cornwall, The land was donated by Imerys to the CWT in 2000 and part of the reserve is a disused china clay quarry.

Towednack (Cornish: Tewydnek) is a churchtown and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The parish is bounded by those of Zennor in the west, Gulval in the south, Ludgvan in the west and south, and St Ives and the Atlantic Ocean in the north and east. The church is about two miles (3 km) from St Ives and six miles (10 km) from Penzance.Towednack lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Almost a third of Cornwall has AONB designation, with the same status and protection as a National Park.

Amalveor

Amalveor (Cornish: Amal Veur, meaning "great Amal"; 'Amal' appears to be the name of a river) is a hamlet in West Penwith, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom at grid reference SW 482 375. The hamlet is 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) south-west of St Ives. It is in the civil parish of Towednack. A pair of gold bracelets were discovered at Amalveor Farm (about one mile due west of the church) on 11 December 1931 and were declared to be treasure trove. The bracelets were dated as middle Bronze Age (about 1000BC) and are now in the British Museum. To the west is Sperris Quoit.

Penwith

Penwith (; Cornish: Pennwydh) is an area of Cornwall, United Kingdom, located on the peninsula of the same name. It is also the name of a former local government district, whose council was based in Penzance. The area is named after one of the ancient administrative hundreds of Cornwall which derives from two Cornish words, penn meaning 'headland' and wydh meaning 'at the end'. Natural England have designated the peninsula as national character area 156 and named it West Penwith. It is also known as the Land's End Peninsula.

In 1872 land was bought for a chapel. The trustees were John Quick, Wm. Quick, John Hollow, Thos. Eddy and Jas. Inch (farmers), John Curnow, Hy. James, Thos. Martin, and Wm. Bennetts (miners), Chas. Burt (tailor), Edw. Richards (grocer of St. Ives), Rich. Paynter Stevens, Math. Woolcock, Thos. Hy. Bryant (fishermen of St.Ives). This attractive little chapel was built for about £150 and was opened in 1873.
