Stourport-on-Severn railway station

Stourport-on-Severn, often shortened to Stourport, is a town and civil parish in the Wyre Forest District of North Worcestershire, England, a few miles to the south of Kidderminster and downstream on the River Severn from Bewdley. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 20,292.

The Stourport High School & VIth Form Centre, formerly known as the Stourport High School and Language College, opened to students in 1956 as an 11-18 school. The starting age was increased to 13 during the 1970s, but reverted to 11 in 2007 as part of the Wyre Forest Review. The school is located in the town of Stourport-on-Severn in Worcestershire, England. It was built to replace the Stourport Secondary Modern School, which was formerly Lickhill Middle.

The Tontine Buildings is a former hotel in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, built in the late 18th century by the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal Company. It is a Grade II* listed building.

The Stour (, rhymes with "flour") is a river flowing through the counties of Worcestershire, the West Midlands and Staffordshire in the West Midlands region of England. The Stour is a major tributary of the River Severn, and it is about 25 miles (40 km) in length. It has played a considerable part in the economic history of the region.

Stourport Civic Centre is a municipal building in New Street in Stourport-on-Severn, a town in Worcestershire, in England. The building, which is currently used as a public events venue, is owned by a community group.

Stourport power stations were two electricity generating stations that supplied electricity to Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire and to the wider West Midlands area from 1927 to 1984. The two stations, A (1927–78) and B (1950–84), were collocated on a joint site adjacent to the River Severn south of Stourport-on-Severn.

Stourport Swifts Football Club are a football team from Stourport-on-Severn, and one of the oldest non-league teams in the country. The Swifts currently play in the Midland League Premier Division, and play at Walshes Meadow in the town.

Droitwich Spa Football Club is a football club representing the town of Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, England. They are currently members of the Midland League Division One and played at King George V Fields until 2017. For the 2017/18 season they ground shared with Stourport Swifts F.C. at Stourport Swifts' Walshes Meadow. The club returned to Droitwich during the 2022/23 season with the completion of redevelopment work at their King George V ground. The ground was officially opened on 10th November 2022 by former England national football team player and manager, Kevin Keegan [1]. The team are known as 'The Saltmen'.

Stourport Boat Club is a rowing club on the River Severn, based at the Riverside, Dunley Road, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire.

Burlish Halt railway station was a station on the Severn Valley Railway in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, England. The halt opened on 31 March 1930 and closed in 1970.

The Chain Wire Club Ground in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire was used for first-class cricket by Worcestershire County Cricket Club on a single occasion: a County Championship match against Lancashire in 1980, which Worcestershire won by an innings and 153 runs. David Humphries made 108 not out for the home side, while Norman Gifford produced an outstanding first-innings return of 18-13-15-6, then took four more wickets in the second innings. The ground was also used for three of the county's Second XI games between 1979 and 1980.

All Saints Church in Wilden, Worcestershire about one mile to the north east of Stourport. It was designed by William Hopkins with funds provided by Alfred Baldwin very close to his own home, Wilden House and one of his large iron works. It served the Baldwin family and their employees and was consecrated in 1880. The church has been designated as Grade II listed by Historic England.The original windows were replaced, between 1902 and 1914, with 14 designs by Sir Edward Burne-Jones, a brother-in-law of Alfred Baldwin. Louisa Baldwin commissioned the windows. She is buried at the church. The windows are dedicated to members of the MacDonald, Baldwin and Burne-Jones families; one shows Louisa Baldwin's only child, the future prime minister, Stanley Baldwin, setting out on life's journey accompanied by a guardian angel.The church has been linked in pastoral oversight with the parish church of Stourport, St Michael's and All Angels, for a number of years.
