Le Juste Milieu (from Arabic: الوسط, romanized: al-waṣaṭ, "the middle") is the name of an Islamic association and the first Islamic center in Luxembourg City. Luxembourg. The center's construction was largely funded by Qatar Charity. Qatar Charity and Le Juste Milieu worked together to found the Islamic center. It was opened in May 2015 by Qatar Charity's chairman, Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani.The overall cost of the project was around 2.2 million euros of which Qatar Charity paid about 75 percent. Le Juste Milieu previously rented the property and had wanted to purchase it due to frequent changes in ownership. Qatar Charity initially began funding the project by selling shares to collect the sufficient funds to cover its construction. They turned to Qatar Charity for help purchasing the property. Despite the assistance from Qatar Charity, the building is owned and operated by Le Juste Milieu.The cultural center, which has a mosque, legal center, school, da’wah center, and educational center for youth, benefits the more than 3,000 Muslims who live in Luxembourg City. The center covers an area of 650 square meters. Upon its completion its mosque and school were opened to Muslims living in Luxembourg, France, German, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Howald (Luxembourgish: Houwald) is a town in the commune of Hesperange, in southern Luxembourg. The town merges almost seamlessly with Luxembourg City's south-eastern suburban quarter of South Bonnevoie, which lies to the north of Howald. As of 2006, the town has a population of 4,760, making it the most populous town in the commune and the 22nd-most populous in Luxembourg. Through Howald runs the route de Thionville, one of Luxembourg's historically most-important roads, which runs from Luxembourg City to the French town of Thionville (which had been a part of Luxembourg until 1659). However, for cross-border travel, this has since been supplanted by the A3 motorway, which connects the same two cities via Bettembourg and Dudelange, and the northern terminus of which is just to the west of the town, on the other side of the railway track. From 20 February 1882 until 22 May 1955 a steam railway line from Luxembourg to Remich ran alongside the route de Thionville through Howald. The train was affectionately referred to as the "Jangeli", a name evoking the sound that the train made. The name Jangeli is still maintained as the bus stop location on the Route de Thionville in Howald. Howald's role as a suburb of Luxembourg City is highlighted by the town's youth. As recently as 1885, the town had a population of only 21 people. Even until the Second World War, the town was limited almost exclusively to lining the sides of the route de Thionville. However, since the 1960s, the creation of two development zoning areas, on either side of the route de Thionville, has seen the town expand dramatically, such that it is now the largest town in the commune of Hesperange.

Stade Achille Hammerel is a football stadium in Verlorenkost, a quarter of Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. It is currently the home stadium of Racing FC Union Luxembourg. Until 2005, it was the home of Union Luxembourg. The stadium has a capacity of 5,814.

Gare (Luxembourgish: Garer Quartier) is a quarter in central Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The quarter has, since 1859, been the location of Luxembourg's principal railway station and terminus, Luxembourg station, around which it subsequently developed. The quarter's name translates into English, from the French Gare, to "station".Geographically, the quarter is situated on the Bourbon plateau, and is separated from the Ville Haute quarter, heart of Luxembourg's ancient fortifications, by a steep valley where the Pétrusse joins the Alzette river in the Grund quarter. The valley was first spanned by the Passerelle viaduct, opened in 1859.Following the 1867 Treaty of London, which ordered the dismantling of Luxembourg's fortifications, the quarter expanded rapidly, notably with the construction of the Adolphe Bridge, opened in 1903, and connected to the station by the grand Avenue de la Liberté.As of 31 December 2022, the quarter has a population of 11,895 inhabitants.

The Passerelle, also known as the Luxembourg Viaduct, is a viaduct in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. Nowadays it runs from the south into the city centre, Ville Haute, carrying road traffic across the Pétrusse valley and connecting Avenue de la Gare to Boulevard Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It is 290 m long, with 24 arches, and 45 m above the valley floor. It is also known as the Old Bridge (Luxembourgish: Al Bréck, French: Vieux pont, German: Alte Brücke) by people from Luxembourg City. The 'new bridge' in this comparison is the Adolphe Bridge, which was built between 1900 and 1903. The Passerelle was built between 1859 and 1861 to connect the city centre with Luxembourg's new railway station, which was located away from the city centre so as to not detract from the defensive capabilities of the city's fortress. It was conceived by the engineers Achille N. Grenier and Auguste Letellier, and built by the British company Waring Brothers.

The Pétrusse (French pronunciation: [petʁys]; Luxembourgish: Péitruss pronounced [ˈpɜɪ.tʀus] , German: Petruss) is a river flowing through Luxembourg, joining the Alzette at Luxembourg City. It flows through the town of Hollerich.

The Pulvermuhl Viaduct (Biisser Bréck in Luxemburgish) is a two-track railway viaduct in Pulvermuhl in eastern Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg.

The Judiciary City (French: Cité judiciaire) is a site in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg, that houses a number of courts and legal offices. It consolidates all of Luxembourg City's judicial buildings, except those related to the institutions of the European Union, on one site, and greatly expands their capacity. The City sits on the Saint-Esprit plateau, sandwiched between the Alzette and the Pétrusse, in the southern part of the central Ville Haute quarter. Its buildings are built in modern Moselle Baroque, to match the surrounding area, and were designed by Robert Krier. Planned since 1991, the first stone of the City was laid on 7 October 2003, and it was officially inaugurated five years later, on 6 October 2008. The buildings contain 43,000 square metres (460,000 sq ft) of floor space, including 300 offices and sixteen courtrooms.

Mosconi is an Italian restaurant located at 13 rue Munster in the Grund district of Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, overlooking the river Alzette. Headed by chef Illario Mosconi, formerly from Lombardy, Italy, it is one of the Relais & Châteaux series of hotels and gourmet restaurants from around the world. The menu is an eight-course set menu of pasta dishes prepared with most of the ingredients imported from Italy. Mosconi became the first Italian restaurant to receive a Michelin star in Benelux. For a time, it had two Michelin stars but reverted to just one again in the guide for 2014.

The Place des Martyrs is a garden square in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The square lies to the south of the Pétrusse valley, in the quarter of Gare. It is colloquially known as the Rose Garden (Luxembourgish: Rousegäertchen), on account of the red roses that dominate the garden's floriculture.Along its north-eastern side runs the Avenue de la Liberté, one of Luxembourg City's main thoroughfares. To the south-west runs the Rue Sainte-Zithe, whilst the Rue du Plébiscite and the Rue de la Grève make up the south-east and north-west sides of the square respectively. The former headquarters of ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steelmaker, were located on the Place des Martyrs, across the Avenue de la Liberté. The square was laid out in the 1920s, after the German occupation of the First World War. Three radial paths run through the square, meeting at a point in front of the Arcelor headquarters, where a work by the British sculptor Henry Moore, depicting a mother and child, provides a focus.

The René Konen Tunnel (French: Tunnel René Konen), colloquially known as the Saint Esprit Tunnel (French: Tunnel du St-Esprit, Luxembourgish: Helleg-Geescht-Tunnel), is a 655 m (2,149 ft) road tunnel in Luxembourg City in southern Luxembourg. It carries two lanes of one-way traffic northwards, under Ville Haute, bypassing the narrow streets and pedestrian zone in the heart of the city. At the southern end (49°36′29″N 6°07′59″E), the tunnel is fed by the Passerelle, which carries traffic from Gare, on the southern side of the Pétrusse valley. The tunnel's entrance is under the Judiciary City. At 100 metres (330 ft), the tunnel bears to its right, passes under the Chambre des Députés (49°36′38″N 6°07′59″E) and heads back to the left in a long, sweeping bend. At its northern end (49°36′49″N 6°07′55″E), the tunnel emerges just to the west of the Alzette valley. The road onto which it leads then divides into two, feeding the Boulevard Royal to the west and the Côte d'Eich to the north. On November 5, 1998, it was officially named after René Konen, a member of the Democratic Party, who served from 1979 until 1984 as Minister for Public Works in the Pierre Werner cabinet, and who initiated the tunnel's construction.

The Bourbon Plateau is a plateau and neighbourhood of Luxembourg City that was named after the Fort Bourbon, part of the Fortress of Luxembourg.
