The Judiciary City (French: Cité judiciaire) is a site in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg, that houses a number of courts and legal offices. It consolidates all of Luxembourg City's judicial buildings, except those related to the institutions of the European Union, on one site, and greatly expands their capacity. The City sits on the Saint-Esprit plateau, sandwiched between the Alzette and the Pétrusse, in the southern part of the central Ville Haute quarter. Its buildings are built in modern Moselle Baroque, to match the surrounding area, and were designed by Robert Krier. Planned since 1991, the first stone of the City was laid on 7 October 2003, and it was officially inaugurated five years later, on 6 October 2008. The buildings contain 43,000 square metres (460,000 sq ft) of floor space, including 300 offices and sixteen courtrooms.

The René Konen Tunnel (French: Tunnel René Konen), colloquially known as the Saint Esprit Tunnel (French: Tunnel du St-Esprit, Luxembourgish: Helleg-Geescht-Tunnel), is a 655 m (2,149 ft) road tunnel in Luxembourg City in southern Luxembourg. It carries two lanes of one-way traffic northwards, under Ville Haute, bypassing the narrow streets and pedestrian zone in the heart of the city. At the southern end (49°36′29″N 6°07′59″E), the tunnel is fed by the Passerelle, which carries traffic from Gare, on the southern side of the Pétrusse valley. The tunnel's entrance is under the Judiciary City. At 100 metres (330 ft), the tunnel bears to its right, passes under the Chambre des Députés (49°36′38″N 6°07′59″E) and heads back to the left in a long, sweeping bend. At its northern end (49°36′49″N 6°07′55″E), the tunnel emerges just to the west of the Alzette valley. The road onto which it leads then divides into two, feeding the Boulevard Royal to the west and the Côte d'Eich to the north. On November 5, 1998, it was officially named after René Konen, a member of the Democratic Party, who served from 1979 until 1984 as Minister for Public Works in the Pierre Werner cabinet, and who initiated the tunnel's construction.

Trinity Church (Luxembourgish: Dräifaltegkeetskierch; French: Église de la Trinité; German: Dreifaltigkeitskirche), also known as the Protestant Church, has been used since 1817 for Protestant services in the city of Luxembourg. It is located on Rue de la Congrégation in the old town.

The Memorial to the Victims of the Shoah (lux.: Shoah, hb.: הַשׁוֹאָה - ha'Schoah) was inaugurated on 17 June 2018 in the city of Luxembourg. The monument commemorates the persecution, deportation and murder of native Jews and those who fled to Luxembourg during the National Socialist dictatorship. The 17th of June 2018 was chosen for the inauguration because 75 years earlier, on the 17th of June 1943, the last deportation train with Jews had left Luxembourg, and the location, Boulevard Roosevelt, because the first synagogue of Luxembourg existed nearby.

Mosconi is an Italian restaurant located at 13 rue Munster in the Grund district of Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, overlooking the river Alzette. Headed by chef Illario Mosconi, formerly from Lombardy, Italy, it is one of the Relais & Châteaux series of hotels and gourmet restaurants from around the world. The menu is an eight-course set menu of pasta dishes prepared with most of the ingredients imported from Italy. Mosconi became the first Italian restaurant to receive a Michelin star in Benelux. For a time, it had two Michelin stars but reverted to just one again in the guide for 2014.

The Lëtzebuerg City Museum (before May 2017: Luxembourg City History Museum (French: Musée d'histoire de la Ville de Luxembourg)), illustrates the thousand-year history of the City of Luxembourg with both permanent and temporary exhibits. Founded on 22 June 1996, it was designed by Luxembourg architect Conny Lentz and Repérages, Paris.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Luxembourg (Latin: Archidioecesis Luxemburgensis) is an archdiocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, comprising the entire Grand Duchy. The diocese was founded in 1870, and it became an archdiocese in 1988. The seat of the archdiocese is the Cathedral of Notre Dame in the city of Luxembourg, and since 2011 the archbishop is Jean-Claude Hollerich.

Notre-Dame Cathedral (Luxembourgish: Kathedral Notre-Dame, French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame, German: Kathedrale unserer lieben Frau) is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. It was originally a Jesuit church, and its cornerstone was laid in 1613. It is the only cathedral in Luxembourg. The church is a noteworthy example of late gothic architecture; however, it also has many Renaissance elements and adornments. At the end of the 18th century, the church received the miraculous image of Our Lady of Consolation (Latin: Sancta Maria Consolatricis Afflictorum), the patron saint of both the city and the nation. Fifty years later, the church was consecrated as the Church of Our Lady and in 1870, it was elevated by Pope Pius IX to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame. At the cemetery of the cathedral is the National Monument to the Resistance and to the Deportation. The centerpiece of the monument is the famous bronze monument by the 20th century Luxembourgish sculptor Lucien Wercollier called The Political Prisoner. The high altar of the cathedral enshrines an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary under the nationally venerated title of Our Lady of Consolation. The cathedral was expanded and enlarged from 1935 to 1938.

The Pétrusse (French pronunciation: [petʁys]; Luxembourgish: Péitruss pronounced [ˈpɜɪ.tʀus] , German: Petruss) is a river flowing through Luxembourg, joining the Alzette at Luxembourg City. It flows through the town of Hollerich.

The Place des Martyrs is a garden square in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The square lies to the south of the Pétrusse valley, in the quarter of Gare. It is colloquially known as the Rose Garden (Luxembourgish: Rousegäertchen), on account of the red roses that dominate the garden's floriculture.Along its north-eastern side runs the Avenue de la Liberté, one of Luxembourg City's main thoroughfares. To the south-west runs the Rue Sainte-Zithe, whilst the Rue du Plébiscite and the Rue de la Grève make up the south-east and north-west sides of the square respectively. The former headquarters of ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steelmaker, were located on the Place des Martyrs, across the Avenue de la Liberté. The square was laid out in the 1920s, after the German occupation of the First World War. Three radial paths run through the square, meeting at a point in front of the Arcelor headquarters, where a work by the British sculptor Henry Moore, depicting a mother and child, provides a focus.

The National Museum of Natural History (Luxembourgish: Nationalmusée fir Naturgeschicht, French: Musée national d'histoire naturelle, German: Nationalmuseum für Naturgeschichte) is a natural history museum in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The museum is located in the Grund quarter on the eastern bank of the Alzette river, next to the Neumünster Abbey cultural centre. The museum is composed of eight separate scientific sections, spanning the natural sciences: botany, ecology, geology and mineralogy, geophysics and astrophysics, palaeontology, vertebrate zoology, and invertebrate zoology.

The Hospice Saint-Jean was a hospice in the rue Münster in the Grund district of Luxembourg City. Only city citizens were admitted. In 1997, the National Museum of Natural History opened its doors in these buildings.
