Ellerdine Halt railway station

Cold Hatton is a small village in Shropshire, located approximately six miles south of Hodnet near the confluence of the River Tern and River Meese. It is in the civil parish of Ercall Magna. Since 1998 it has been part of the Telford and Wrekin unitary district.

Rowton Halt railway station was a station in Rowton, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1935 and closed in 1963. The halt was located to the south of a road over bridge and there were steps down to the platforms. The site of the halt has now been infilled.

The River Meese is a river, located in Shropshire, England. It is a tributary of the River Tern, itself a tributary of the River Severn. The river is only known as the Meese below Aqualate Mere, but its source lies considerably higher via the stream known successively as Dawford Brook, Lynn Brook, Moreton Brook, Back Brook, and Coley Brook, which flows north from its source near the Roman Watling Street (now the A5) just to the east of Weston-under-Lizard until it reaches Aqualate Mere.For around 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) near Newport, Shropshire it forms the border between Shropshire and Staffordshire, where it is joined by Lonco Brook from the north.

Waters Upton is a small village and civil parish in the Telford and Wrekin district, in the county of Shropshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 951.It was recorded in the Domesday book as "Uptone", when it was stated to be tenanted by a "Seuuard", and to have been held by a man called "Gamel" before the Conquest. At the time of the survey it contained 3 ox-teams, 4 neat-herds, 4 villeins, 1 boor and 1 radman, and a mill of 12s. 1d. annual value. In a reversal of the usual order seen in the naming of places and landowning families, it became known as Waters Upton after an early landowner, Walter Fitzjohn. The civil parish, which had a total population of 873 at the 2001 census, also includes the villages of Great Bolas and Crudgington. The village is just off the A442 and has a church, one pub (the Lion) as well as a post office.

The village consists of a number of scattered farms and cottages with a small cluster of council houses. Crudgington is a village in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. It is situated in the civil parish of Waters Upton, a village to the north, and is 7 miles north-west of Telford. Nearby is the confluence of the rivers Tern and Strine; the village lies at an elevation of 55 metres (180 ft).

Peplow is a hamlet in Shropshire, England. It is part of the civil parish of Hodnet, a larger village to the north. The hamlets of Bowling Green and Radmoor are both in the village's vicinity. It lies in a rural area on the A442 road, between Crudgington and Hodnet, with Ollerton immediately to the east. At the time of the Domesday survey, the manor of Peplow was held by Ranulph de Mortimer. The land later became part of the Hodnet estate, and was held by the Ludlow and Vernon families, until 1715 when it was sold to the Pigot family, who built Peplow Hall.The hamlet is best known for Peplow Hall, an 18th-century manor house, and Peplow Mill. The mill contains an early water turbine dating from 1820 and spans the River Tern. There is a cricket club called Hodnet and Peplow CC, and the club's badge is that of a gold lion (from the gates of Hodnet Hall), lying beneath a green beech tree (representing the beech trees lining the driveway of Peplow Hall). Its first eleven play in the Rollinson Smith Shropshire Cricket League Division 3.

The River Strine is a 3.4-mile-long (5.4 km) tributary of the River Tern flowing through the Telford and Wrekin district of Shropshire in England. The river drains the Weald Moors a fenland area north of Telford, and also takes runoff from Newport and Lilleshall. Tributaries of the Strine include the Pipe Strine, Red Strine, and Wall Brook.

Peplow railway station was a station in Peplow, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1867 and closed in 1963. The track has been infilled to form the garden for the station house which is now a private residence along with a waiting shelter on the northbound platform.

Great Bolas (), or Bolas Magna, is a village in the Telford and Wrekin borough of Shropshire, England, It is situated north-west of Newport, and about eight miles north of Telford. It is part of the civil parish of Waters Upton. It is situated at the confluence of the Tern and the small River Meese. There is a hamlet called Little Bolas a short distance to the west. Another hamlet called Meeson, south of the River Meese, was formerly a separate township of Great Bolas parish.
