Crudgington

Crudgington railway station was a station in Crudgington, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1867 and closed in 1963.

The River Strine is a 3.4-mile-long (5.4 km) tributary of the River Tern flowing through the Telford and Wrekin district of Shropshire in England. The river drains the Weald Moors a fenland area north of Telford, and also takes runoff from Newport and Lilleshall. Tributaries of the Strine include the Pipe Strine, Red Strine, and Wall Brook.

Waters Upton is a small village and civil parish in the Telford and Wrekin district, in the county of Shropshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 951.It was recorded in the Domesday book as "Uptone", when it was stated to be tenanted by a "Seuuard", and to have been held by a man called "Gamel" before the Conquest. At the time of the survey it contained 3 ox-teams, 4 neat-herds, 4 villeins, 1 boor and 1 radman, and a mill of 12s. 1d. annual value. In a reversal of the usual order seen in the naming of places and landowning families, it became known as Waters Upton after an early landowner, Walter Fitzjohn. The civil parish, which had a total population of 873 at the 2001 census, also includes the villages of Great Bolas and Crudgington. The village is just off the A442 and has a church, one pub (the Lion) as well as a post office.

Rowton Halt railway station was a station in Rowton, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1935 and closed in 1963. The halt was located to the south of a road over bridge and there were steps down to the platforms. The site of the halt has now been infilled.

Ellerdine Halt railway station was a station in Cold Hatton, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1930 and closed in 1963. The station was named for the nearby hamlet of Ellerdine.

The River Meese is a river, located in Shropshire, England. It is a tributary of the River Tern, itself a tributary of the River Severn. The river is only known as the Meese below Aqualate Mere, but its source lies considerably higher via the stream known successively as Dawford Brook, Lynn Brook, Moreton Brook, Back Brook, and Coley Brook, which flows north from its source near the Roman Watling Street (now the A5) just to the east of Weston-under-Lizard until it reaches Aqualate Mere.For around 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) near Newport, Shropshire it forms the border between Shropshire and Staffordshire, where it is joined by Lonco Brook from the north.

Longdon Halt railway station was a station in Longdon-on-Tern, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1934 and closed in 1963. There were two short wooden edged platforms with wooden waiting shelters. Both platforms were accessible from steps down the shallow cutting leading from the road over bridge.

Cold Hatton is a small village in Shropshire, located approximately six miles south of Hodnet near the confluence of the River Tern and River Meese. It is in the civil parish of Ercall Magna. Since 1998 it has been part of the Telford and Wrekin unitary district.

Longdon-Upon-Tern (also known as Longdon-on-Tern or colloquially Longdon) is a village in east central Shropshire, England. It is in the unitary district of Telford and Wrekin, and is approximately 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) east of Shrewsbury and 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) north-west of Telford. Longdon-Upon-Tern is situated on the River Tern, a tributary of the River Severn. Settled since at least the Normans, the village is notable as the site of the Longdon-on-Tern Aqueduct, the first large-scale cast iron navigable aqueduct, designed and built by Thomas Telford for the canal. The aqueduct is Grade I listed and a preserved as a scheduled ancient monument.
