Chapel of Sacra Familia (Chorão Island)

The Capela de Nossa Senhora da Saúde or the Chapel of Our Lady of Health, is a Roman Catholic chapel on the island of Chorão in Goa, India. It was originally built in 1705.

St Bartholomew's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Chorão, Goa, India. The Parish of St. Bartholomeu is made up of the villages of Caraim and the Passo de Ambarim. Its boundaries are the river of Mapusa to its north and west; on the opposite side of the river the parishes of Aldona and Pomburpa; the parish of Our Lady of Grace Church to the south and the river Naroa with the Parish of Pedade on the Island of Divar to its east.

Chorão, also known as Choddnnem (pronounced choddne the letter m is silent) or Chodan, is an island along the Mandovi River near Tiswadi, Goa, India. It is the largest among other 17 islands of Goa. It is located 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) away from the state capital, the city of Panaji and 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) away from the city of Mapusa. Chorão is accessible by the ferry from Ribandar. Chorão village is known for its Luso-Goan churches and houses. It is also known for its bird sanctuary. It is one of six major islands between the Mandovi and Zuari, the others being: Ilha de Goa Divar, Cumbarjua, St Estevam, Vanxim and Several other small mangrove islands and sand banks.

Olaulim is a scenic village in Bardez sub-district, North Goa, India. The village lies between the lush green hills that separate it off from Bastora and Porvorim on the West and the back waters of the Mandovi River on the East. Also 3 km away is Pomburpa (the springs here are a popular tourist attraction which incidentally haven't been known to run dry even in the worst of summers) to the south and Aldona 6 km away in a north easterly direction. Those are the nearest villages with the Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary just across the river in Chorao. The village of Olaulim had been home to survivors of the brutal World War 2 attack on Rangoon, Burma where many Goans had flourishing businesses. The Pinto and Rodrigues families are some of the few such surviving families that still exist in Olaulim. Piedade is an island village located in Ilhas (also known as Tiswadi), a northern district in the state of Goa, India, and named after Our Lady of Compassion. The name comes from the Portuguese word piedade, which means "compassion". It lies 23 km east of the state capital, Panjim, between the taluks of Satari (to the north) and Ponda (to the south). Other nearby villages are Amona (3 km), Volvoi (3 km), Surla (4 km), Cudnem (4 km), Betqui, and Candola (5 km). The local language is Konkani.

Vanxim or Capão is an island of Goa situated in the Ilhas region. One can reach here by taking a ferry from Divar. The colonial name for Vanxim was Capão. One may see a lot of houses with few villagers many of whom are fisher-folk in the area. Silveiras, Furtados, Vas, Olivera are surnames of people. Mahendra Gaunekar sold the parts of the island to Ozone corporate. Luxury hotel and Golf Course is sort to be forced upon this island but faced resistance from alert islanders and others. It is the smallest of 6 major islands within the Mandovi, the others being: Ilhas de Goa, Chorão, Divar, Cumbarjua, St Estevam and Several other small mangrove islands and sand banks.

The Chapel of St. Jerome is a historic Roman Catholic chapel on the island of Chorão in Goa, India. After closing of the Chorão Seminary, although it had been abandoned for centuries, the chapel still stands. Acoustic phenomena are even now observed in the chapel. The chapel was built in 1761.

Real Colégio de Educação de Chorão is a defunct Catholic seminary that was founded on 2 April 1761 in Chorão, India. It belonged to the Parish of Our Lady of Grace Church (Chorão Island).

Aldona is a village in the Taluka of Bardez in the Indian state of Goa. It is known for producing several prominent Goans.

The island of Divar (formerly Piedade) (Konkani: Divaddi, pronounced [d̪iːwaːɽiː]) (derived from the word Dipavati or 'small Island' in Konkani) lies in the Mandovi river in the Indian state of Goa. It is one of six major islands within the Mandovi, the others being: Ilha de Goa, Chorão, Vanxim, Cumbarjua, St Estevam and Several other small mangrove islands and sand banks.

Aldona is one of the 40 Goa Legislative Assembly constituencies of the state of Goa in southern India. Aldona is also one of the 20 constituencies falling under the North Goa Lok Sabha constituency.
