Pomburpa

Salvador do Mundo (Portuguese for Saviour of the World) is a village in Bardez taluka, Goa, in India. The village is located south west of Socorro and east of Porvorim. The Mount has a Chapel, which is used to hold services during the Lenten Season.

Porvorim Assembly constituency is one of the 40 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Goa state in India. Porvorim is also one of the 20 constituencies falling under the North Goa Lok Sabha constituency. It is part of North Goa district.

Porvorim (pronounced Parvari [puːrʋɔrĩ]), is the De facto legislative and executive capital of the state of Goa, India, as both the Goa Legislative Assembly and Secretariat are functioning from the same complex in the region of Alto Porvorim in porvorim.(Alto – Portuguese word meaning high or upper). Soon it will also become the De facto judicial capital of Goa, when the High Court of Bombay at Goa (Bombay High Court – Panaji Bench) which is currently functioning from Lyceum complex in Panaji, is transferred to the new building complex which is being constructed in Alto – Betim Porvorim region of Porvorim. The construction of the new building is expected to be completed by December 2020. Porvorim is situated on the right bank (north bank) of the Mandovi River, as de jure capital of Goa, Panaji is located on the opposite bank. Porvorim is considered an upmarket residential hub as it lies on the Mumbai–Goa highway NH66. Goa's largest shopping centre – Mall De Goa – is situated here.

Socorro is a village that lies five kilometres to the east of Mapusa town in Bardez taluka. It is administered by a panchayat represented by members from the seven wards of Ambirna, Arrarim, Carrem, Maina, Porvorim, Vaddem and Zosvaddo. It is also considered as a census town in North Goa district in the Indian state of Goa. It once formed part of the comunidade and the larger village of Serula. Serula has since been divided into the villages of Salvador do Mundo, Penha da Franca (Britona), Pomburpa and Socorro. The village takes its name from the patron saint or deity of its parish church, our Lady of Succour or Nossa Senhora do Socorro.

Olaulim is a scenic village in Bardez sub-district, North Goa, India. The village lies between the lush green hills that separate it off from Bastora and Porvorim on the West and the back waters of the Mandovi River on the East. Also 3 km away is Pomburpa (the springs here are a popular tourist attraction which incidentally haven't been known to run dry even in the worst of summers) to the south and Aldona 6 km away in a north easterly direction. Those are the nearest villages with the Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary just across the river in Chorao. The village of Olaulim had been home to survivors of the brutal World War 2 attack on Rangoon, Burma where many Goans had flourishing businesses. The Pinto and Rodrigues families are some of the few such surviving families that still exist in Olaulim. St Bartholomew's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Chorão, Goa, India. The Parish of St. Bartholomeu is made up of the villages of Caraim and the Passo de Ambarim. Its boundaries are the river of Mapusa to its north and west; on the opposite side of the river the parishes of Aldona and Pomburpa; the parish of Our Lady of Grace Church to the south and the river Naroa with the Parish of Pedade on the Island of Divar to its east.

Chorão, also known as Choddnnem (pronounced choddne the letter m is silent) or Chodan, is an island along the Mandovi River near Tiswadi, Goa, India. It is the largest among other 17 islands of Goa. It is located 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) away from the state capital, the city of Panaji and 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) away from the city of Mapusa. Chorão is accessible by the ferry from Ribandar. Chorão village is known for its Luso-Goan churches and houses. It is also known for its bird sanctuary. It is one of six major islands between the Mandovi and Zuari, the others being: Ilha de Goa Divar, Cumbarjua, St Estevam, Vanxim and Several other small mangrove islands and sand banks.

Sangolda is a village in Bardez sub-district, North Goa, India.

Penha de França is a town in Bardez, Goa in India. It is north of the capital Panjim in North Goa. It takes its name from the patroness of its church, Nossa Senhora da Penha de França which it shares with Penha de França in Lisbon. It is the birthplace of writer Vimala Devi.

Ucassaim is a village in Bardez, in the west coastal region of Goa. It is located close to Mapusa town and is known as the home for some prominent persons from the area. Ucassaim was once is known as Mistirincho Ganv, (Musicians' Village) because of the number of musicians (mistri) who flourished in this village.

Our Lady of Grace Church is a Roman Catholic church in Chorão, Goa, India. It is bounded on its north and west by the Mapusa River, with Salvador do Mundo remaining exactly opposite to it. To the south is the river Mandovi with Ribandar opposite to it and to its east is the St Bartholomew's Church.

Goa Cricket Association Stadium is a cricket stadium, proposed to be built in Dhargal, Goa. The stadium will be the home ground for Goa Cricket Association. The project is currently suspended due to various problems including but was obstructed by the corruption and financial troubles. Goa is the only state association that does not own its own ground.The ground will be established in 1.30 lakh square metres with all facilities like practice stadium, indoor practice area etc. The ground will have floodlight so that stadium can host day-night matches with capacity of 45,000 persons.
