The Capela da Sagrada Família (Chapel of the Holy Family) is a Roman Catholic chapel built in 1769 on the island of Chorão, Goa.

Chorão, also known as Choddnnem (pronounced choddne the letter m is silent) or Chodan, is an island along the Mandovi River near Tiswadi, Goa, India. It is the largest among other 17 islands of Goa. It is located 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) away from the state capital, the city of Panaji and 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) away from the city of Mapusa. Chorão is accessible by the ferry from Ribandar. Chorão village is known for its Luso-Goan churches and houses. It is also known for its bird sanctuary. It is one of six major islands between the Mandovi and Zuari, the others being: Ilha de Goa Divar, Cumbarjua, St Estevam, Vanxim and Several other small mangrove islands and sand banks.

St Bartholomew's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Chorão, Goa, India. The Parish of St. Bartholomeu is made up of the villages of Caraim and the Passo de Ambarim. Its boundaries are the river of Mapusa to its north and west; on the opposite side of the river the parishes of Aldona and Pomburpa; the parish of Our Lady of Grace Church to the south and the river Naroa with the Parish of Pedade on the Island of Divar to its east.

Piedade is an island village located in Ilhas (also known as Tiswadi), a northern district in the state of Goa, India, and named after Our Lady of Compassion. The name comes from the Portuguese word piedade, which means "compassion". It lies 23 km east of the state capital, Panjim, between the taluks of Satari (to the north) and Ponda (to the south). Other nearby villages are Amona (3 km), Volvoi (3 km), Surla (4 km), Cudnem (4 km), Betqui, and Candola (5 km). The local language is Konkani.

Vanxim or Capão is an island of Goa situated in the Ilhas region. One can reach here by taking a ferry from Divar. The colonial name for Vanxim was Capão. The island of Divar (formerly Piedade) (Konkani: Divaddi, pronounced [d̪iːwaːɽiː]) (derived from the word Dipavati or 'small Island' in Konkani) lies in the Mandovi river in the Indian state of Goa. It is one of six major islands within the Mandovi, the others being: Ilha de Goa, Chorão, Vanxim, Cumbarjua, St Estevam and Several other small mangrove islands and sand banks.

The Chapel of St. Jerome is a historic Roman Catholic chapel on the island of Chorão in Goa, India. After closing of the Chorão Seminary, although it had been abandoned for centuries, the chapel still stands. Acoustic phenomena are even now observed in the chapel. The chapel was built in 1761.

Real Colégio de Educação de Chorão is a defunct Catholic seminary that was founded on 2 April 1761 in Chorão, India. It belonged to the Parish of Our Lady of Grace Church (Chorão Island).

São Mathias also known as Malar is a village on Divar Island, Tiswadi or Ilhas, in the Indian state of Goa. The island is located 10 km upriver from Panjim. A ferry connects São Mathias to the island village of Vanxim; also part of the São Mathias Panchayat. The Konkan Railway passes through São Mathias, the nearest stop on the mainland is the train station at Carambolim. Ferry Connection from Narva to Narva- Bicholim, also Ferry Connection from the Island to Old Goa, and Ribandar. São Matias is surrounded by Piedade and Panjim towards west, Ponda towards East, Margão Taluk towards South. This Place is in the border of the North Goa District and South Goa District. It is near to Arabian Sea so there is a chance of humidity in the weather. The São Mathias Church was built by the Portuguese over 400 years ago. The St Mathias Sports Club is situated on the main road of the village.

Our Lady of Grace Church is a Roman Catholic church in Chorão, Goa, India. It is bounded on its north and west by the Mapusa River, with Salvador do Mundo remaining exactly opposite to it. To the south is the river Mandovi with Ribandar opposite to it and to its east is the St Bartholomew's Church.

Maem Assembly constituency is one of the 40 Goa Legislative Assembly constituencies of the state of Goa in southern India. Maem is also one of the 20 constituencies falling under North Goa Lok Sabha constituency.

Naroa is a village located on the eastern tip of the island of Divar, in the Indian state of Goa. It has a population of barely a thousand people, with about 80 houses. The Island subsequently became the residence place of many dignified families of Goa. It also houses three parochial churches and possesses a chapel of two images of Christ held in great veneration by the Catholics of the place. The ruins of a fort are evident in the northern part of the village.
