St Michael Caerhays

Portholland (Cornish: Porthalan) is a settlement in Cornwall, England, UK. It is on the south coast in the civil parish of St Michael Caerhays. The name Portholland comes from the Cornish language elements porth, meaning 'cove' or 'harbour', and Alan, a personal name. Portholland is two adjacent villages, West Portholland and East Portholland at opposite ends of two separate namesake beaches which join in the middle. It is possible to walk between the two villages on the beach at low tide. West Portholland is in Veryan civil parish, the parish boundary is a minor stream between East and West Portholland. East Portholland used to have a post office and general store, but both have shut down. Portholland lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). East Portholland was a filming location for the village scenes of the fictional Welsh island Cairnholm in the 2016 film Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. There is a cliff path connecting West and East Portholland which has several distinct features such as paw prints in the concrete and the text “PAN MOJ”

Along the bay is Porthluney Cove, which is overlooked by Caerhays Castle.

Portloe (Cornish: Porthlogh) is a small village in Cornwall on the Roseland Peninsula, in the civil parish of Veryan. Portloe harbours two full-time working fishing vessels, the Jasmine and Katy Lil, which fish for crab and lobster in Veryan and Gerrans Bay, and a fleet of smaller leisure boats in summer. Visitors are attracted to Portloe by its fishing, scenery, and walks. Portloe lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Almost a third of Cornwall has AONB designation, with the same status and protection as a National Park. The South West Coast Path passes through the village. The name Portloe comes from the Cornish language words porth, meaning 'cove' or 'harbour', and logh, meaning 'lake' or 'inlet'.

St Ewe (Cornish: Lannewa) is a civil parish and village in mid-Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, which is believed by hagiographers to have been named after the English moniker of Saint Avoye. The village is situated approximately five miles (8 km) southwest of St Austell.

Portloe Lifeboat Station was located in the small village of Portloe, which sits on the Roseland Peninsula, approximately 10 miles (16 km) south east of Truro, overlooking Veryan Bay, on the south east coast of Cornwall. A lifeboat was first placed at Portloe in 1870, by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). After just 17 years of operation, Porthleven lifeboat station was closed in 1887.

Cuby (Cornish: Sen Kubi) was formerly a civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, situated approximately 7 miles (12 km) southwest of St Austell. The parish was created in 1866 from the part of the ancient parish of Tregony which lay outside Tregony's borough boundaries. It was named after the parish church, dedicated to St Cuby, which stands on the north-eastern edge of Tregony, but was just outside the old borough boundary. In 2021 the parish was reunited with Tregony to form a new parish called Tregony with Cuby. The parish of Cuby was always rural, with no significant settlements. At the 2011 census (the last before the parish's abolition) it had a population of 178.
