Hollywood Sportatorium

The Miami-Hollywood Motorsports Park was an auto racing complex in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Opened in March 1966, it was located east of the Hollywood Sportatorium near the corner of 172nd Avenue and what was then Hollywood Boulevard (now Pines Boulevard). The speedway featured a quarter-mile (0.4 km) dragstrip as well as an 0.375 mile (0.6 km) oval track. It went through many name changes over its long history, including Miami Speedway, Miami Speedway Park, Miami Dragway, Miami-Hollywood Speedway, and others.

Pembroke Pines Charter High School is a charter school in the United States. It is funded and administered by the City of Pembroke Pines, as opposed to the Broward County School Board.In 2005, PPCHS received an A grade from the State of Florida. In 2007, PPCHS was named National Charter School of the year.In 2014, PPCHS received an A grade from the State of Florida.

Saint Edward Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines, Florida, was established in 1995 and constructed in 1999. Part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Miami, this charismatic parish is located in western Broward County. Located on 190th Avenue, it was the first church ever built west of Interstate 75 in Broward County and in the City of Pembroke Pines.

Paladin Academy was an elementary, middle and high school located in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The program catered to students who required smaller class sizes, a more structured environment and if needed, a slower academic pace. This included individuals diagnosed with attention deficits, dyslexia or other undiagnosed challenges. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the program was a participant in the State of Florida McKay Scholarship program for students with learning challenges. After over forty years of existence, the school ceased operations in June 2021.

Rolling Oaks was a census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,291 at the 2000 census. It was incorporated into the town of Southwest Ranches, Florida in 2000, and is now a neighborhood.

Everglades High School is a public school located in Miramar, Florida, United States. The school serves approximately 2,425 students from Miramar and Pembroke Pines in grades 9 through 12. The current school hours are from 7:40 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. The most recent principal was Haleh Darbar, who was promoted effective February 1, 2022. In the 2007–08 school year due to overpopulation, another high school was constructed in Pembroke Pines, Florida, West Broward High School to resolve the overcrowding issue. Everglades High currently has an FCAT school grade of an "A" for the 2017–18 Academic School Year. Everglades has a student to teacher ratio of 22:1, above the state average of 15:1.

Green Meadow was a census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,875 at the 2000 census. It was incorporated into the town of Southwest Ranches, Florida in 2000.

The Broward Correctional Institution (BCI) was a correctional facility located in the former Country Estates CDP and in Southwest Ranches, Florida, operated by the Florida Department of Corrections. The Region IV Correctional Facility Office is located on the grounds of Broward Correctional Institution in the former Country Estates CDP. The prison was in proximity to Pembroke Pines. It was located along Sheridan Street, near U.S. Route 27.The facility was opened in 1977 to house a male inmate population. However, in its history the prison has had only female inmates. It housed female death row inmates until February 2003 when the female death row was moved to Lowell Annex. The Broward Correctional Institution served as a reception center for female inmates. As of 2011, a staff of approximately 272 individuals serviced the facility. As of 2012 624 prisoners, all female, were housed there. The facility was closed in 2012. Closure was scheduled for May 1 of that year. The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel said "BCI was determined to have a relatively low population and a high per diem inmate cost of $111.48." ($145.02 when adjusted for inflation)

Ivanhoe Estates was a census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. It is located in the Miami metropolitan area. The population was 279 at the 2000 census. It's now a community incorporated into Southwest Ranches, Florida in 2000. Ivanhoe Estates is part of the larger Ivanhoe neighborhood that is split between Southwest Ranches and southwestern Davie, and includes the other Ivanhoe communities, in neighboring Davie, of Hawkes Bluff, Falcon's Lea, Waterford, Cross Bow, and Waverly Hundred, as well as the Les Chateux, Sheridan Glen, The Enclave, and Chelsea at Ivanhoe communities.

Sunshine Ranches is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,704 at the 2000 census. It was incorporated into the town of Southwest Ranches, Florida in 2000, and now serves as a neighborhood.

Southwest Ranches is a town in Broward County, Florida, United States. It is a suburban community part of the Miami metropolitan area and is located on the eastern edge of the Everglades, 15 miles (24 km) southwest of Fort Lauderdale and about 22 miles (35 km) northwest of Miami. It is unusual in that it consists of three non-contiguous areas, albeit they are in close proximity; the two largest being separated by 1,455 feet (0.443 km). It became the county's 30th incorporated place in 2000 to avoid annexation into Pembroke Pines and to preserve its semirural lifestyle. Because the area has many horse ranches and is located in the southwestern part of Broward County, residents chose "Southwest Ranches" over other potential town names. The population at the 2020 census was 7,607. The town includes the former census-designated places of Country Estates, Green Meadow, Ivanhoe Estates, Rolling Oaks, and Sunshine Ranches (as well as subneighborhoods Landmark Ranch Estates and Sterling Ranch Estates), all of which are now Southwest Ranches neighborhoods. To support its rural-equestrian lifestyle, the town has developed many equestrian trails.
