Puck's Glen

Rashfield; is a hamlet on the Cowal peninsula, situated between Loch Eck and the head of Holy Loch, in Argyll and Bute, West of Scotland. The hamlet is on the A815 road and the River Eachaig flows pass from Loch Eck to the Holy Loch. Rashfield is within the Argyll Forest Park which is itself within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Invereck is a Category B listed building in Sandbank, near Dunoon, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Dating to around 1886, it is located near the head of the Holy Loch. In the first half of the 19th century, Invereck was the summer home of botanist William Jackson Hooker. "He seems to have devoted special attention to the vegetation of the neighbourhood," wrote John Colegate in 1868. "The result of his inquiries were published in the Rev. Dr. McKay's Statistical Account of the United Parishes of Dunoon and Kilmun."There was a cottage, described by the Ordnance Survey as "small but handsome", on the site of today's building in the mid-19th century. The cottage and its grounds were sold to George Miller in 1872.The house has been a Church of Scotland Eventide Home since 1946, although it was up for sale in 2020. Prior to that, it is believed to have been used by the Independent Order of Foresters.

Old Kilmun House is an historic building on Midge Lane in Kilmun, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Now Category A listed, it was built, in the early 18th century, in foothills overlooking the Holy Loch from its northern shores.Historic Environment Scotland describes it as one of the most important buildings in the parish, and in a national sense due to its six-bay layout. "Few houses combine such classical features with an asymmetrical façade," they wrote. It is two storeys.Since its original construction, which reused stone from a 16th- or 17th-century building, it was extended to the rear in the 19th century, as well as an early 20th-century addition to its southwestern corner. In the second half of the 19th century, a large addition was made to its northwestern corner. The earlier parts of the building are of rubble with sandstone dressing, while the later block is fine ashlar.The garden and boundary walls are also of Category A listed status. To the west of this were two large buildings which had been demolished by the end of the 19th century. Part of the garden was used for the western edge of the cemetery of the adjacent Kilmun Parish Church and Argyll Mausoleum.

Benmore Botanic Garden (formerly known as the Younger Botanic Garden) is a large botanical garden situated in Strath Eachaig at the foot of Beinn Mhòr, on the Cowal peninsula, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The gardens are on the west side of the A815 road from Dunoon, between the Holy Loch and Loch Eck, and include footbridges across the River Eachaig. It is one of the sites of Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Features include a Redwood Avenue of Giant Sequoias planted in 1863, large square walled gardens, a waterfall, a fernery, ponds and walks up the hillside to viewpoints over the Holy Loch. The garden is located within the Argyll Forest Park, which forms part of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Kilmun Parish Church and Argyll Mausoleum in Kilmun, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, consists of St Munn's Church (a Category-A-listed building but no longer a parish church of the Church of Scotland), as well as the adjacent mausoleum of the Dukes of Argyll and a historically significant churchyard. The complex is located on the summit of a slight knoll about ten metres from the shoreline of the Holy Loch on the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll, Scotland. The existing church dates from 1841 and occupies the site of an older, medieval church. A partly ruined tower from the medieval period still stands to the west of the present building.

Kilmun (Scottish Gaelic: Cill Mhunna) is a linear settlement on the north shore of the Holy Loch, on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scottish Highlands.It takes its name from the 7th century monastic community founded by an Irish monk, St Munn (Fintán of Taghmon). The ruin of a 12th-century church still stands beside the Kilmun Parish Church and Argyll Mausoleum.

Sandbank (Scottish Gaelic: an Oitir or Taigh a' Chladaich) is a village on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is located 2.5 miles (4 kilometres) north of Dunoon on the coastal A815 (low road) or the inland A885 (high road) and sits on the southern shore of the Holy Loch, branching off the Firth of Clyde.

Ardnadam Farm is the site of an ancient cromlech in the village of Ardnadam, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The relic was, according to popular tradition, the grave of a king who was named after Adam. Ardnadam Farm, located near Loch Loskin, was supposedly so-called in accordance with the tradition. The stones were later considered to be fragments of a Druidical altar.A nearby street is named Cromlech Road. It runs between Ardnadam's Ferry Road and High Road (the A885) in Sandbank.

The Holy Loch (Scottish Gaelic: An Loch Sianta/Seunta) is a sea loch, a part of the Cowal peninsula coast of the Firth of Clyde, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The "Holy Loch" name is believed to date from the 6th century, when Saint Munn landed there after leaving Ireland. Kilmun Parish Church and Argyll Mausoleum is said to stand where Saint Munn's church was once located. Robertson's Yard at Sandbank, a village on the loch, was a major wooden boat building company in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During World War II, the loch was used as a British Royal Navy submarine base. From 1961 to 1992, it was used as a United States Navy ballistic missile submarine base. In 1992, the Holy Loch base was deemed unnecessary following the demise of the Soviet Union and subsequently closed.

Beinn Ruadh (664 m) is a mountain of Argyll and Bute in Scotland. Part of the Grampian Mountains, it lies between Loch Eck and Loch Long in Argyll Forest Park. A large and sprawling peak, its lower slopes are covered in forestry plantations. The nearest town is Dunoon a few miles to the south.

Erected in 1922, the Lazaretto Point War Memorial (known colloquially as the Lazaretto Memorial) is located in the Scottish village of Ardnadam in Argyll and Bute. It stands, at the apex of sharp bend in the A815, around the midpoint of the southern shores of the Holy Loch. It was designed by Boston, Menzies & Morton, of Greenock, and unveiled on 14 May 1922. It commemorates the local soldiers who died during service in World War I and World War II.Mrs John Brown, of nearby Sandbank, performed the unveiling. Five of her sons served in the conflicts, one of whom was killed in action. Reverend A. MacDonald M.A., also of Sandbank, officiated at the ceremony.
