Kalam Institute of Health Technology or KIHT is a Government of India project supported by the Department of Biotechnology. The institution established in July 2017 is named in honour of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and is located at Visakhapatnam within the campus of Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone. The institute was established under Make in India Government programme.

Ukku Stadium or Trishna Stadium or Steel Plant Stadium is a cricket ground located in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, India. The first first-class to be played there came in the 1991 Ranji Trophy when Andhra cricket team played Karnataka cricket team . Between the 1991 season to the 2004/06 season, the ground held 8 first-class matches.The ground held a List A match in October 1997 when Andhra cricket team played the Tamil Nadu cricket team in the 1997/98 Ranji Trophy one-day competition. The ground held 8 first-class matches.The ground has hosted few matches of Youth One Day International when South Africa Under-19s and Zimbabwe Under-19s played in an Afro-Asia Under-19 Cup 2005/06. The ground has hosted 4 more matches of the tournament.

Kanithi Balancing Reservoir (KBR) is a reservoir in Ukkunagaram, Visakhapatnam, India. It is the water source for the entire Vizag steel plant and steel plant township.This large mass of water reservoir is for the captive consumption of the plant and the township alike and sits between the Township and the NH16. It draws its water from a special canal built exclusively for it from the Yeleru River flowing in East Godavari district. The reservoir spans 2.2 km by 2.0 km area with 0.5 Tmcft water storage capacity. Most of this fresh water consumption in the steel plant can be avoided by recycling the generated effluent water which is drained into the sea.
