Marten-Becker House

African Church, also known as the A.M.E. Church of St. Charles, is a historic African Methodist Episcopal church located at 554 Madison Street in St. Charles, St. Charles County, Missouri, United States. It was built about 1855, and is a small brick building with a low-pitched gable roof. The building was renovated in 1947 as a residence.: 2 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is located in the Midtown Neighborhood Historic District.

Oliver L. and Catherine Link House is a historic home located at St. Charles, St. Charles County, Missouri. It was built in 1895, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Richardsonian Romanesque style yellow brick dwelling on a raised basement. It has a hipped roof with cross gables and features a round tower with a conical roof and large round arched opening over the entryway.: 7 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. It is located in the Midtown Neighborhood Historic District.

Dr. John H. Stumberg House is a historic home located at St. Charles, St. Charles County, Missouri, United States. It was built in 1869–1870, and is a two-story, "T"-plan, red brick dwelling on a stone foundation. It has a cross-gable roof with dormers and decorated cornice.: 2 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The district encompasses 527 contributing buildings, 7 contributing sites, and 5 contributing objects in a predominantly residential section of St. Charles. It developed between about 1838 and 1959, and includes representative examples of Federal, Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, Romanesque Revival, Folk Victorian, Colonial Revival, Classical Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed African Church and Oliver L. and Catherine Link House. Other notable buildings include the St. Charles County Courthouse, Benton School (1896), St. John's A.M.E. Church (1872), Immanuel Lutheran Church (1867), Jefferson Street Presbyterian Church, Fourth Street Market Grocery (1926-1927), West End Grocery and Meat Market (c. 1900), Dr. Ludwell Powell House (1838), Rogers-Ehrhard House (1856, 1866), Waye Monument Company and Residence (1889), Meyer House, Kaemmerlen House, and Elsner House.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

It developed between about 1902 and 1956, and includes representative examples of Queen Anne, Folk Victorian, Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Mediterranean Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The St. Charles Historic District is a national historic district located at St. Charles, St. Charles County, Missouri. It is the site of the first permanent European settlement on the Missouri River and of the embarkation of Lewis and Clark's journey of exploration along the Missouri. The first state capital of Missouri and over one hundred other historic buildings are located in the district.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, including 63 contributing buildings over a 47-acre (19 ha) area. The district was later increased three times.The original listing included the separately NRHP-listed First Missouri State Capitol Buildings and the Newbill-McElhiney House. In 1987 the district was increased to include a Greek Revival specialty store building at 1000 S. Main Street, with a 1.3-acre (0.53 ha) area. In 1991 the district was increased by 3.1 acres (1.3 ha) to include 13 more contributing buildings, including work by architects William D. Parsons and H.C. Bode. This included the St. Charles Odd Fellows Hall, the Old City Hall, a post office, and other buildings in Late 19th and 20th Century Revivals, Greek Revival, and Late Victorian architectural styles.In 1996 the district was further increased by 9 acres (3.6 ha) to include 41 more contributing buildings on the 100, 200, and 300 blocks of N. Main Street. These include Greek Revival, Italianate, and Late 19th and 20th Century Revivals architecture, including work by architects Albert B. Groves and Frank & Adolph Haverkamp.

Newbill-McElhiney House is a historic home located at St. Charles, St. Charles County, Missouri. The original three-bay section was built in 1836, and expanded to five bays in the 1850s. It is a two-story, five-bay, Federal style brick dwelling. It has a side-gable roof and features a three-bay central porch. Also on the property is a contributing small two-story "L-plan" brick building rumored to have been used as a slave quarters.: 2 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is located in the St. Charles Historic District.

The First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site is a state-owned property in St. Charles, Missouri, preserving the building that served as Missouri's capitol from 1821 to 1826. The site is part of the St. Charles Historic District in the city's Riverfront neighborhood. It was acquired by the state in 1960 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. The First Missouri State Capitol Buildings consists of four connected brick buildings. They are one room deep with gabled roofs and stone foundations. The first floor of the building was used as a store and residence while the second floor was used by the state government. Both are preserved today.: 2–3 

Stone Row is a historic building located at St. Charles, St. Charles County, Missouri. It consists of two 2 1/2-story stone buildings built about 1815 that were once separated by a 20-foot space. About 1860, the space was filled by a 2 1/2-story brick structure. Stone Row dates to the earliest settlement of St. Charles. They were built for commercial and residential purposes.: 2–3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.

Old City Hall, also known as the Market House, is a historic city hall located at St. Charles, St. Charles County, Missouri. It was built in 1832 as the Market House, and underwent alterations in 1886. It is a two-story, vernacular brick building on a rockfaced ashlar foundation. It features segmental arched openings, pilasters, and a mansard roof.: 2–3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
